Have I used the wrong characters? Who knows?! Watergate Bay is one on my fav hotels & I would expect a better app experience if this is what they would like you to use to manage your bookings. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2021-08-15, version 1.6* Confirmation email says I need to use app to book breakfast but cannot log in any which way I try. I guess this will mean “due to covid precautions” no booking = no entry and more money for nothing, best not to have any expectations these days and I really did used to love the waffles here as well! ### 1/5 — Crashes constantly *2021-07-09, version 1.5* Worse than useless I’m sorry to say. Can’t access my itinerary as the wheel of death appears without end. Opening the app even usually displays “checking for updates “ then crashes. I have made bookings only for these to disappear. It’s rubbish and makes everything more difficult rather than easier ### 1/5 — Oh God! *2023-09-19, version 1.6* So, I'm guessing this app was provided free of charge by someone doing a sixth form project. If you value you're sanity, avoid it... ### 1/5 — Completely broken *2023-06-22, version 1.6* I’m unable to use the app properly at all and it’s making my trip to the hotel difficult to manage. Thankfully the staff have been attentive via email and phone. The app really needs to be fixed. ### 1/5 — Potentially the most irritating app I’ve ever used *2023-04-23, version 1.6* Honestly, just delete the app. It’s infuriating to log in, with many “password does not match” messages when you know the password. No option to actually tester the password. After eventually getting in, I tried to make a massage booking … turns out I needed to call them. Super irritating and a bad reflection on the hotel brand. ### 1/5 — The worst app - Don’t bother just phone them. *2023-04-01, version 1.6* Given the cost of starting at the hotel and amazing service in the hotel they have definitely dropped the ball with this app. We stay regularly and love Watergate Bay but trying to use this app is painful and annoying. Fix it or ditch it! ### 1/5 — Not functional on iPhone *2023-03-27* In agreement with most other reviews, this app simply doesn’t work. If it was optional, I wouldn’t care. But our not inexpensive stay at Watergate Bay (our favourite destination) is being held hostage by requiring us to use a broken app. Having to regularly one’s phone also goes against the whole spirit of Watergate Bay and Another Place. ### 1/5 — Needs a refresh *2023-03-07, version 1.6* Having used the app to access and complete the requested pre-arrival form, I can no longer get to my confirmed booking. All I can see on the app’s menus are ways to make new restaurant and room bookings. I’ve never been to Watergate Bay hotel before and this experience does not fill me with delighted anticipation. Let’s hope everything is much better IRL. ### 1/5 — So frustrating. Not even the basics work *2022-10-19, version 1.6* Such a poorly executed app. - Constantly crashes - content poor eg faqs limited - majority of links take u back to website - navigation poor and not user friendly There is so much opportunity to do this better and provide a more seamless customer experience. Considering u drive all ur customers to this app it would be beneficial to invest in ur digital team and defiantly get some customer research!
