I don’t really see what this app offers that I don’t already get with Strava and it looks like it just wants me to upgrade to a paid subscription more than anything else. Currently using Waterspeed for Outrigger Canoeing. This app is helping me with reading tide & weather before I go out. So fun to see the paddle history when I go to the Diary. It’s perfect for keeping track of my activity and analyzing the performance.. On top of that the support for the app and the team behind it are fantastic. A couple of times that I’ve run into issues, I communicate them to the developers. And have had quick fixes every time. Not worth it unless you want to pay monthly… for the rest of your life. When I imported my existing Garmin data, it wouldn’t even let me see that unless I “upgraded”. This is data I already owned. Tried to delete some of the imported activities and app will not allow you to delete activities without upgrading to Pro. Come on…. I understand limiting features, but locking out the ability to simply delete/remove an activity…. Likely will not upgrade simply because that feels shady. I already pay a monthly subscription fee and now to get the features I used to get they want me to upgrade to a “pro” account. No thanks. J'ai commencé avec l'iPhone placé dans un sachet étanche sous la combi et j'ai ensuite investi dans l'iWatch sur laquelle fonctionne l'app. Le combo est excellent. L'app me sert essentiellement à conserver mes sessions et connaître mes vitesses (utiles pour des entraînements "race"). Il y a plein d'autres façons de l'utiliser. Quand j'ai choisi cette app, j'en avais essayé d'autres mais celle-ci me paraissait bien supérieure, en particulier en ce qui concerne sa simplicité d'utilisation. Voilà ! Perso, je suis fan 👍 ### 5/5 — My most used app for downwind sup foiling *2026-03-09, version 8.8* Love Waterspeed! It’s so useful for tracking my sessions and progress. It helps you dial in equipment for different conditions and gives you real world info on your runs. It allows you to track km splits and the developer is super responsive and is adding new features specially tuned to downwind sup foiling. Can’t want to try the new tracking feature to share with friends and coast guard/harbor patrol for safety when out to sea. Before every session I fire up Waterspeed and Spotify and then I’m ready to send. Then I have cool info after my session to share with my friends, map export of the session is great. ### 5/5 — Great customer service and awesome app *2026-02-22, version 8.5* We pay for the Pro version of this app and love it. Especially use it for wing foiling. Over the years I’ve noticed the odd issue and reported it and gotten a quick response and an explanation as to how to fix my issue. Recently, noticed that the app had removed a function. When I reported it, turns out it was done intentionally. Much to my surprise, a few weeks later the function I reported was back on the app. If u are a water person, this app is a must to own. It tracks all kinds of interesting info.
