I can add shortcuts so I can control my lights using the shortcuts app on my Apple Watch. There is no support for the cameras though and I’ve not purchased the hub and other sensors to try them out but will update my review if they also work. ### 2/5 — ??? *2025-02-21, version 6.0.1* The graphs are nonsense, sometimes even curving back over themselves. Ooops. Also, as mentioned, no camera support. Huh? ### 4/5 — Subscription app *2024-01-02, version 5.2.4* It's not really clear from the app description, but to use more than one space (limited to 16 devices), you need to pay on a monthly basis through a subscription. The pricing isn't unreasonable -- CAD$1.29/mo or CAD$5.99/yr for the lowest family-friendly one -- but I dislike subscriptions with a passion and there's no more expensive one-off purchase. Other than that, it correctly recognized all of my TPLink devices and displayed their energy consumption in an easy to read manner. It's a nice app, but I do wish there was a non-subscription variation. ### 3/5 — Cool, but not on M1 *2024-01-01, version 5.2.2* After using this app for 3 or 4 years, I can't anymore. Seemed to work okay when I had an Intel Mac but since I upgraded to a Mac-Mini with M1, nothing but crashes. ### 3/5 — Not great *2023-11-10, version 5.2.0* Download this last week and thought it was fab as I could actually see exactly how much in ££ I’d used. I went on it today and it says I’ve no compatible devices. I bought 4 Tapo plugs last week that did work, not now. I signed out then back in , all my devices have now disappeared 🙄. ### 2/5 — Data reporting not what I hoped for *2023-09-01, version 5.1.7* I am looking for a way to see power consumption by device and hour/day. This app gives a little more information than the Kasa app, but very little. I don’t think it has much value for me until there is more granularity in the data reporting. ### 3/5 — Stopped working *2023-07-29, version 5.1.7* Liked this app but it has just stopped working. Had about 10 plugs in app but now they have gone and keep getting a you don’t have compatible plugs message. But I do! Deleted app and reloaded twice logging into my to account each time. Same message. To continue using the app, please log out and log back in." ### 3/5 — Limited in present state *2023-06-30, version 5.1.5* Nice app but you need to subscribe or become a patreon as the author likes to call it, in order to have more than one space or area. I paid for a while hoping that extra functionality like the promise of off peak energy costs would emerge but progress seems slow. I may check back later. Although Kassa has now made improvements to their own free software. ### 4/5 — Tapo P110 No Data *2023-04-26, version 5.0.1* Watt has been an interesting app to monitor usage for a while. But due to either a Tapo firmware update, or Watt, I now don’t see any data now from plugs. ### 2/5 — Started ok. Now unusable. *2023-03-02, version 5.0.0* Been using this app for a few years mostly for energy tracking features. It never worked ‘great’. But with the last update it just doesn’t seem to toggle my smart strip’s individual outlets properly. It makes a click noise but does nothing. That’s great the author updates it with features that nobody asked for while it’s inherently broken while saying it’s improved. Amazon Alexa tracks energy better so that’s what I’m using. It’s not improved. It’s different: in the wrong way. The charts never seemed to have the appropriate data when you launch it. It may or may not populate after it figures out what it’s doing with itself: So don’t depend on this app unless you’re standing next to your device so you can manually toggle it when this app doesn’t work. ### 3/5 — Peak and Off-peak per kWh *2023-03-01, version 5.0.0* Needs functionality to add per kWh unit cost peak and off-peak hours and what times these are. Half hourly segments as times do not always start and end on the hour. ### 4/5 — Watt was he thinking? *2023-01-15* I very much appreciate the app and the development effort. I am a new user. I don’t understand why the chart doesn’t fill the whole screen. Why are you using such a small font on the chart? And why use a white font on a light background? I am 66. Us seniors can’t read it! Regarding the chart not filling the whole screen, there is an easy solution, you can rotate the screen to landscape and have a full-width chart. All Siri ever does is say “Something went wrong. For the money rather get a Raspberry Pi zero, learn a bit of Python and DIY. App is fantastic for monitoring your energy use if you bought into the Kasa Smart Plug ecosystem. Very intuitive UI to check your usage per device, room, or home. The app has to use your kasa login, so ended up separating things like cameras into another kasa account. Wishlist: 1. Ability to rename devices. 2. Ability to give a custom name, independent of the official custom name set via Kasa. 3. Ability to tag devices, and filter by tags. 4. Directly show independent plugs, in the case of the kasa power strip. 5. Ability to graph per space, and not just one graph for everything. ### 5/5 — A smarter App than TP-Link’s *2023-02-11* Smart! Lots of clever functions! A deeper reach into the capabilities of these Smart devices. Kudos to newly issued version 5 (February 2023). There’s a minor BUG to report though: for the new TP-Link EP25 energy monitoring plugs, the consumption charts of Week, 30th, and Month are not properly updating the plotted data beyond the second day of monitoring. I’m seeing only the two data points. Whereas the Year chart is OK; it is at least labeling the future (albeit zero) monthly data positions. No similar issue with the charting in the cleverly implemented HS200 switch’s consumption plots. So apparently the charting bug is only related to the recent EP25 plug. (Actually I don’t have any older version EM plugs, so there could be others.) ### 5/5 — Great features *2023-01-31* The Watt app adds a bunch of features that Kasa was lacking, like Siri integration, night mode, power monitoring, and turning all devices off simultaneously. I'd love to see Kasa light strips (KL400L5) added as well. **Developer response:** Hey i have good news, the new Watt version 5.1.4 support the KL400 :D ### 5/5 — What’s gone wrong - but now fixed. *2023-01-07, version 4.5.10* Update - all promptly fixed by developer. Now all working smoothly All working but suddenly all plugs showing not accessible. Asking for support for this app is more than justified. ### 5/5 — Brilliant *2022-07-30, version 4.5.2* Tired this app out of curiosity as I didn’t realise the new smart plug from TP link was not compatible with the previous ones. With this app I now know my carbon footprint per device, over a period of time. My modem is contributing 10kg of carbon a year and that’s a lot.
