### 3/5 — Ok but unstable

*2026-07-14, version 6.12.1*

Love the app but frustrated by crashes mid workout. On the free version and would like to go to paid. But not prepared to pay for unstable app.

### 3/5 — No Apple Watch connection

*2026-04-16, version 6.12.1*

Maybe the bike I’m using is essentially old tech, but there seems to be no way to connect my Apple Watch to it. I have the watt bike hub app and everything as far as data exchange between apps is ticked. Pretty annoying.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2026-01-24, version 6.12.0*

Although it works when it works, every time there is an upgrade there is a bug that limits the use of my custom workouts. The app won’t allow for me to scroll up and down, accessing the rides that I’ve paid to create. This has happened with the last two updates, leading me to feel like I’m wasting my money on paying for a subscription.

### 1/5 — Custom Workouts - Unable to scroll through.

*2026-01-23, version 6.12.0*

Since the latest upgrade, I am now unable to scroll through any of my custom workouts ? Scrolling through the standard workouts works as expected however ?

### 1/5 — Custom Workouts

*2026-01-21, version 6.12.0*

In this app release the Custom Workouts for the Hub+ subscribers are not scrollable anymore. I’m only able to pick the ones at the top of the list.

### 1/5 — Dumps workouts, asks for login

*2026-01-19, version 6.11.0*

Take a great bike, add universally awful software....
Logs me out, sometimes during rides. Dumps all my data.
Asks for login most times I start it.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2025-12-18, version 6.11.0*

Not fit for purpose, support is non existent. Lost an hours worth of data this morning.

### 3/5 — It hangs

*2025-12-10, version 6.11.0*

After installing, I did my first ride and after I stopped, it wouldn’t just stop. Also, no Apple Watch support so I can’t record my heart rate alongside. A bit disappointing in today’s time. This is a new bike recently installed in my gym and it doesn’t have Apple Watch support.

10Dec2025: We need Apple Watch support in your app. It should record my heart rate else it’s useless.

### 1/5 — Logging on such a slooow faff - just KISS it please

*2025-12-07, version 6.11.0*

I have watt bike at home and in my local gym. Having to log in every time is so slow and tedious, even when use Apple or FB for faster login. Takes ages so too often give up on it. Just want to get to my wattsbike and burn . Wattbike picks up my heart monitor great but the easy fix is a non login option ie Guest. Works for Otheg kit and YouTube why not a simple bike app ?
Or do Wattbike mandate login for data harvesting ? Who knows esp with compulsory sign up to Wattbike TC.

### 3/5 — Impossible d’utiliser la molette à droite

*2025-11-27*

Bruyant

### 3/5 — It hangs

*2025-11-23, version 6.11.0*

After installing, I did my first ride and after I stopped, it wouldn’t just stop. Also, no Apple Watch support so I can’t record my heart rate alongside. A bit disappointing in today’s time. This is a new bike recently installed in my gym and it doesn’t have Apple Watch support.

### 2/5 — App needs a lot of work

*2025-11-22, version 6.11.0*

There are a lot of heartrate monitor and generally connection glitches and now it’s hard to connect to a real person to solve it. For the money you pay for the bike and the app subscription it’s quite poor service and not user friendly at all.

### 3/5 — It works

*2025-11-19, version 6.11.0*

It works, but it’s due an upgrade since its original development on the Spectrum ZX ❤️

### 4/5 — Great workouts

*2025-11-16, version 6.11.0*

Love the workouts which have hugely improved my cycling. 4 stars as Apple health sync could be better. Upload is missing sample data so heart rate and move contribution are missing in fitness app.

### 1/5 — Cannot use on more than 1 device

*2025-10-22, version 6.11.0*

I have an iPad I use while on the Wattbike, but I often use my phone to check stats/create workouts before and after a ride. Unfortunately, if you log in on your phone, it will log you out of the iPad, and vice versa. Every time I use each device, I have to login. Not only that, the login never works the first time - I have to force quit the app and reopen it to get it to work. Please fix it!!

### 1/5 — Recent update radar not working. Gearshift wrong

*2025-10-09, version 6.11.0*

After the recent update the radar display is a circle with 100% power. The gearshift should be 1 to 22, but at 10 it is almost maxed out

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Hardware ok. Software really poor.

*2026-07-02, version 6.12.1*

I don’t think I could recommend buying a Wattbike based on years of misery using the Wattbike app.

I was convinced it would improve over time but the other brands have just run away.

Rarely does everything connect easily, certainly not for multiple rides in a row.

For example you came have multiple HR straps connected to your phone and visible but Wattbike can’t see anything…. Same for the shifters.

Overall youll spend so much time trying to delete and reconnect things it’s just not worth it. Try a different trainer with better software.

### 1/5 — Useless with WB Proton

*2026-06-12, version 6.12.1*

App drops out randomly between 11 and 15 mins. Waste of time as I never know exactly how long my work out will be. To top it all support page on app goes nowhere. WB need to invest in sorting connectivity or I’m off to get a Zwift bike - much more reliable!

### 1/5 — Don’t buy a Wattbike.

*2026-06-12, version 6.12.1*

Purely based on years of misery using the Wattbike app.

Rarely does everything connect easily, certainly not for multiple rides in a row.

For example you came have multiple HR straps connected to your phone and visible but Wattbike can’t see anything…. Same for the shifters.

### 1/5 — Cant login using apple ID

*2026-05-17, version 6.12.1*

Security certificate seemingly expired, unable to login on ipad or phone - can’t now use bike. Absolutely rubbish.

### 1/5 — HRM connection is worse than poor

*2026-05-09, version 6.12.1*

Many reviews on here about this problem. Struggles to connect, disconnects mid ride, major frustration. It has soured my whole experience with WattBike.

### 1/5 — Frustrated. Can’t connect bike and contact support feature doesn’t work.

*2026-04-18, version 6.12.1*

After briefly connecting the bike out of the box, it stopped working. No matter what I do I am unable to connect my proton with the hub app. Even more frustrating, the contact support feature in the app doesn’t work. Guess I will have to go digging for another way to contact them. Hoping they will reach out as a result of this post and then I can change my rating.

### 1/5 — Log out every time

*2026-03-30, version 6.12.1*

This app logs me out every time I close it. I need to log in again every time I run the app. Incredibly frustrating.

### 1/5 — Abysmal

*2026-03-25, version 6.12.1*

DO NOT USE
Years of trouble gets better then gets worse and worse now I’ve done the same ride on uniform services plan 4 times can see it on log and Strava but won’t let me progress

### 1/5 — Connectivity issues

*2026-03-23, version 6.12.1*

Really struggles to connect and track accurately across the cycle. Has the initial connection but doesn’t track the workout.

### 1/5 — Poor App

*2026-03-19, version 6.12.1*

For a bike you spend several thousand pounds on, the app is poor to say the least. Can’t complete a workout without it dropping out let alone get a sensible out which reflects the monitor.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — HIIT Intervals

*2026-06-26, version 6.12.1*

Weeeooow! 🥵🥵🥵

### 5/5 — Zwift conflict

*2026-02-23, version 6.12.1*

Wattbike is functional but would be so much better if it could connect properly to Zwift. It connects Power and Cadence but transmits no data.

### 5/5 — Nice equipment but app often crashes…

*2025-12-19, version 6.11.0*

… worst of all doesn’t save progress or allow resumption!

### 5/5 — Updated Review - Support fixed it

*2025-12-06, version 6.11.0*

Update 06/12/25

Support sorted all my issues and it’s rock solid!

New Proton using Wattbike Hub - Every ride suffers heart rate dropout and a few have had surges to power or cadence; rendering the workout useless if your tracking data. This is advertised as a family bike so are you telling me, to get a reliable app, I also need to pay for Zwift etc for 5 users??
Needless to say, the bike is on notice if it doesn’t improve.

### 5/5 — How good

*2025-03-21, version 6.7.0*

So good easy and free definitely recommend 100%

### 5/5 — Wattbike

*2025-02-20, version 6.7.0*

Best cycling training app

### 5/5 — Wattbike

*2024-11-24, version 6.4.0*

Awesome kit ⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Lots of Training Options and Challenges

*2024-10-30, version 6.4.0*

The Wattbike maintains summer fitness right through winter. The Ride training plans are a brilliant discipline to follow and it’s great to be able to throw in the odd special mountain section. The bike is easy to tailor and after just over 18 months and nearly 200 rides it hasn’t missed a beat. A great training aid.

### 5/5 — Love My Wattbike Atom

*2024-10-16*

After months of research into which device to use with ROUVY, I decided to go with the Wattbike Atom. I live in the suburbs of Chicago and shipping took about three weeks. Three months later, I am completely thrilled with my purchase! Setup was easy and I've had no issues with my bluetooth connectivity. Wattbike Atom/ROUVY integration has been completely seamless. I've ridden nearly 1,000 miles on my Wattbike Atom in ROUVY and I've gone from 217 pounds to 200 pounds. I've only actually used the Wattbike hub app to change the gearing from 11 to 22 gears. If you do any steep mountain climbing in ROUVY, you will definitely want to go with 22 gears.

### 5/5 — Good, could improve

*2024-10-15, version 6.4.0*

Improvement should be made on workouts in general, wether it’s plans of summer/winter specials. By just adding for instance intervals off the saddle, and even more importantly, make the prompt very loud and lasting longer on the screen.
