### 1/5 — Won’t create an account

*2026-02-28*

Won’t let me create account. Pop ups are not in English. App is t functional.

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2026-01-25*

This app rarely picks up my battery's bluetooth signal. It's basically worthless. Don't waste your time downloading it.

### 1/5 — Laughably doesn’t give bare minimum fonctionalities

*2026-01-21, version 25.12.13*

Worst UX ever. Shame on Wattcycle

### 1/5 — Barely functional

*2026-01-04*

Well, it works to at least see some limited information on your battery. I setup an account to “bind” my two batteries. Got logged in. Tried to bind my batteries. It said I needed to be logged in. Which um yeah I already am. Logged out and in again. Restarted app. Tried everything. Acts like it wants to bind after capturing serial number, but still says I have to login in the “bound batteries” section. It also pops up some kind of message in Chinese. It must say “F-you” since it just won’t work. Do you test your apps? I mean why even offer an account with binding? Also in general the app feels like it was made in 2002. Very hard to find info. Not intuitive. Anyways. Dumb.

### 1/5 — PIN protection missing

*2025-12-17, version 25.9.30*

PIN protection missing!!!!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-12-13*

This app is awful! I don't understand how someone can release an app that doesn't work and with zero help on operation. It was like pulling glass out of my eye to figure out how to connect to my battery. Now, the discharge is what I think always on! I can't tell because there are NO instructions. I'm assuming that light blue is off but you know what happens when you ASSume! Even when I get it to turn to light blue, the next time I open it. It's dark blue again. Google search said to update the app but..... there are no updates. This is insanity. I wouldn't suggest this battery at all! Don't get one with the "smart" on it because it's definitely NOT!

### 1/5 — Pin Schutz

*2025-11-19, version 25.9.30*

### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work

*2025-10-20*

It’s really a pain to use. Doesn’t reliability connect, need to be virtually standing over the battery before the app can see it. Sometimes connects and shows zero for every parameter. With two batteries in parallel sometimes shows identical data for both batteries including cell voltages. Means it’s showing data from the same battery no matter which one is selected. Not much usable info although the new update does add the ability to set parameters if you’re brave enough. Asks for Bluetooth permission every time. Does not allowed you to see both batteries on the same screen. I could go on…

### 1/5 — Parallel Mode not fixed

*2025-10-11*

Bought my 100Ah mini BT battery about a month ago and have had no issues. My intention from the beginning was to to load 2 100Ah mini BT batteries in my trailer. After reports of parallel charging and discharge issues, I wasn’t too sure. However WattCycle claimed that they released this new app to correct the issue. It’s not corrected at all. At charging, my second battery went into over voltage proctor mode (pack OVP). The battery was at 100% yet kept charging then shut down. Then when discharging, only one battery at a time will discharge. Apparently you have to draw over 50A in order to have both batteries share the load. What???

Frustrated and feeling like I’m out of $400!

### 1/5 — Lacking almost everything

*2025-07-19*

This app has a lot to be desired compared to other battery monitoring apps. It doesn’t show amps and volts when charging and discharging. You can’t view multiple batteries at the same time. It basically gives you state of charge. The manual listed is for the meta data app and not the new app. The meta data app won’t connect. Thete is no explanation for the charging/discharging switches in the app. And it only allows you to use their software when there are much better apps out there. I think their batteries are great. Probably the best value out there but the Bluetooth app is terrible. You’re much better off buying a non BT battery and using a smart shunt to monitor your system. The coustomer service is also pretty non existent unless you like dealing with AI.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t show correct information

*2025-05-13, version 25.5.9*

Application shows 13.6v when battery charger is at end of charge. Voltage meter measures 14.6 which would make sense why charging stopped. Please fix application as BMS Meta won’t connect to this WattCycle battery so my smart battery isn’t any different than non-Bluetooth enabled.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2025-05-09, version 25.4.11*

I can’t get the app to work. I can’t find any way to enable device location.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Seriously broke

*2026-06-19, version 25.13.7*

Had I known this would have never purchased your batteries. After purchasing 3 GC2 batteries I can only bind one of them to manage. If I change the name of one battery the other two entries on the home page repeat the changed name with the same MAC address. Obviously a major failure.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-06-14, version 25.13.7*

The app actually stops you from using the battery. Ghost codes on the app keep you from toggling on discharge button needed for power. NO customer service. AVOID!

### 1/5 — Update didn’t work

*2026-05-27*

Cannot connect to battery after latest update

### 1/5 — It’s Broken

*2026-05-27, version 25.13.3*

Latest version, 25.13.3 does not work. App crashes when Bluetooth connects to the battery.

### 1/5 — Unreliable Battery Control

*2026-04-30*

The recent update in March 2026 isn’t able to control “bound” batteries without a data connection. I had to take my batteries out of the camper and find enough data coverage to refresh the Bound Devices (batteries) and enable the outputs.

### 1/5 — Watt THE HELL?

*2026-04-21*

These batteries and app worked fine. Then the updates. Go to settings & see why nothing works battery parameter is max discharge temperature 149°F per manual, but in the app, it’s 32°F max temp and trying to fix any of these gives “out of range” notification. WHY DID YOU MESS IT ALL UP Watt Cycle?! All the parameters are wrong in settings tab and you can’t fix any of them!!

### 1/5 — Needs much more work

*2026-04-12*

Please document what you changed just say fixes made doesn’t do any good

### 1/5 — This app has been absolute garbage

*2026-04-02*

I have not been able to reliably get any readings on my two 314ah smart batteries. It’s very disappointing. It seems both appear to connect, but give me no readings from the BMS. I bought these just before the issues with the BMS software surfaced. I just want to be able to use these batteries, wish they had the dumb batteries available when I bought these. They are heavy bricks right now.

### 1/5 — Removed App Functionality

*2026-03-09*

App had the ability to turn off battery via Bluetooth without requiring an account. I don’t want to sign up for your marketing emails just to operate my battery.

### 1/5 — Missing or broken features.

*2026-02-28*

It’s possible for the “charging” screen button to get “stuck” in the off condition and there is no state of charge history only real time information. Both are unacceptable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to Use App

*2025-07-02*

Straight forward app.

### 4/5 — Good but could be better!

*2025-12-16*

I have been using the WattCycle app with a 12V 100Ah Smart Mini Battery for about 2 months in a small camper. The battery and app have performed well in a low load (~0-10Amp) environment. There are 2 annoyances I will like to see addressed: 1. When connecting to a battery with Discharge disabled, Discharge is ENABLED automatically. 2. Remove the selection confirmation screen when selected the battery / device to connect to. This is an unnecessary step.

### 3/5 — No Instructions?

*2026-02-28*

It would be nice if there were instructions for setting it up with my Smart Mini LiPo battery. And, something that describes what the buttons do would be nice. The app also seems to disconnect rather quickly. It would be nice to set a timer for when I am cycling/discharging the battery.

### 3/5 — Works on all 3 mini’s

*2025-12-08, version 25.9.30*

If You click on the voltage of the battery then it shows the cell voltage independent of each other. 4 voltages for 4 cells. Just clicked on the 13.5v next to the temp and it came up with all 4 cells voltages. I run mine in series and have had zero problems on the trolling motor for a year now. They have lasted an entire month without needing to charge them. Unheard of with lead-acid. And since I got them in January I beat the price increase. So at $130 for 100ah I am happy. App could be better but not the worst. If I never found the cell voltage by tapping the volts icon I would have been disappointed.

### 3/5 — Parallel mode

*2025-09-27*

He exact match mode won’t turn on. Only the compatibility mode turns on.

### 3/5 — 应用程序可以改进。

*2025-03-29*

这个应用程序信息丰富，但即使已经授予了蓝牙权限，它还是不断请求。请修复这个应用程序。

### 3/5 — No individual cell status?

*2025-03-20, version 25.2.10*

No individual cell status?

### 2/5 — Anfängliche Empfangsprobleme und fehlende Bluetooth-PIN

*2025-12-01, version 25.9.30*

### 2/5 — Need improvement

*2025-11-25, version 25.9.30*

While the app is stable, usability and security are still below expectations. Please add access protection (Bluetooth PIN) asap. And please consider setups with more than one Batterie, especially in parallel setups, there should be a view on both batteries side-by-side, As well as a capacity info bit each batteries but also for the combined batteries bank. Keep on doing the good work you deliver with the Batteries and the ECE-R10 certification. The app is as important as the hardware for improved adoption and usability

### 2/5 — Persistent Bluetooth Permission Popup on iOS 18.5

*2025-07-27*

Hi, I’m using WattCycle on iOS 18.5 and keep getting prompted to allow Bluetooth every time I launch the app — even though permission is already granted in Settings. I’ve tried reinstalling the app and rebooting my phone, but the issue persists. Can you confirm if this is a known bug or if there’s a fix?
