## What is Watten Games?

Austin's home is threatened. Help him clean up the Wadden Sea of garbage. 

Austin is an oystercatcher and his home is the North Sea, in the middle of the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea. Every year a lot of garbage is thrown into the sea and into the beaches. But what can you do? To ensure that the North Sea and the Wadden Sea will be litter-free, Austin need your help! Your task is to clean the Wadden Sea by playing the games “Litter Fisher” and “Beach Collector”. He will count on you!

In the Litter Fisher game, you have to tap the screen to move the net to collect the litter before the cod eats it. You can advance to different levels while playing. The aim is to unlock additional animals, such as a seal or porpoise.

In the Beach Collector game, your aim is to remove the washed-up litter from the beach. To do this, you have to tap on the litter items as quickly as possible, before the next wave arrives and washes the litter back into the sea. Here to, you can play your way up to different levels. As a result, additional beach areas will be unlocked for cleaning. 

The more you play, the more litter disappears. Additionally, you will unlock success bonuses which you can access at any time. These success bonuses hide impressive pictures or “De Nümigs craft sheets” as well as other exciting information that you can share with your family and friends.

The App was created by the “Wadden-Agenda” project. This project is being carried out as part of the Interreg V A programme Germany-Netherlands and co-financed with contributions from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Lower Saxony Ministry for Federal and European Affairs and Regional Development as well as the provinces of Fryslân and Groningen. It is accompanied by the programme management of Ems Dollart Region (EDR).

Die Spiele machen echt Spaß und sind zugleich ja auch noch ne super Chance, um die Leute spielerisch an das Müllaufsammeln am Strand zu gewöhnen😁 
Vielleicht sind Ostfrieslands Strände damit bald nicht mehr nur die schönsten, sondern auch noch die saubersten Strände Deutschlands😍
