You can’t even skip it anymore which sucks so much. I’m now changing it to a 1 star review because the amount of ads are disgusting. There’s literally rotating ads on the damn page itself. My eyes are constantly distracted because an ad will randomly pop up on the bottom of the screen and then cycle through ads so that the Brian can’t just learn to ignore it. It’s so dystopian to think that ads are so inescapable that they’re now on reading pages. Evil evil app. I swear no one actually consumes the content being advertised anyways. Wattpad does not care about its users whatsoever ever, just like every corporation these days. Wattpad used to be a place for writers and now it’s a business. Further proof that capitalism kills everything, including creativity and leisure. I’ve seen the loss of messaging, the loss entirely of just free books, and especially the loss of an AD free experience. I don’t care about having to pay for certain stories but those ADs just make it a horrible experience. Half of the time the app freezes up in the middle of an AD too. So, I have to close the app entirely. Just please stop the ADs or move them elsewhere so people who want coins could watch them.
