### 2/5 — No evening use

*2026-07-05, version 2.1.8*

This app doesn’t seem to work in the evening. I just get a spinning circle. Then it is back in the morning. Do you turn your server off?

### 4/5 — New User

*2026-06-21, version 2.1.8*

Overall I find it’s a good app but occasional when I want to change a temperature setting I get a notice saying it can’t be done, device error. Fine but which device? The thermostat or the app? It’s annoying and getting to the point of prompting a downgrade in my rating. I’ve tried many things including uninstalling the app rebooting my phone then reinstalling the app. It still comes up with the message

### 2/5 — App is very glitchy

*2026-06-20, version 2.1.8*

Not a great app.

### 2/5 — Nothing great

*2026-06-09, version 2.1.8*

Use this App in two locations. Works fine for hydronic floor heating system. Second location it controls Mitsubishi VRF split system with Condair steam humidifiers. Terrible. Connectivity is pathetic. Zones constantly dropped. Slow and inconsistent communication which appears to be at the server level NOT a local WiFi problem. Design could be better as there is no way to tell if humidifier is running. Also use Honeywell TCC app in another location to control forced air system with humidity. Not perfect but better than Watts home for more sophisticated systems. When the Watts app first came out several years ago it was a disaster. It took two years but it was improved. Looks like company has fallen way behind again. Let’s hope it doesn’t take two years to get this app to deliver adequate functionality for anything but the cheapest and most unsophisticated hvac systems.

### 2/5 — Many options unavailable

*2026-05-14, version 2.1.8*

Seems to work. But the font give you access to very much via the app.

### 3/5 — Hybrid system records

*2026-04-17, version 2.1.8*

Please add the capability to trend multiple heat sources separately and show cumulative time “on” for each separately - eg. A gas furnace paired with a ashp.

Thank you

### 4/5 — Snow melt

*2026-03-04, version 2.1.6*

I use the app to control a snow melting system with Tekmar
controls. It tells me the temperature and wet or dry status of the driveway. It also lets me start or stop the system and reports the hours of operation. I wish it allowed me to actually adjust the system settings because I live away during the snow months.

### 2/5 — Software is a pain to set up

*2026-02-03, version 2.1.6*

I have no experience with the hardware, but creating an account and registering the device was way more difficult than it should have been. If there was any issue with a particular step, you had to start again from the beginning.

### 3/5 — Why can’t I program this thing to turn off at a certain time?

*2026-02-03, version 2.1.6*

Major downfall to this device.

### 3/5 — Basic

*2026-01-22, version 2.1.6*

Basic thermostat, does the job… It would be nice though if the app could determine and log what source is being used to heat the house… I.e. heat pump/furnace

### 4/5 — Firmware update

*2026-01-19, version 2.1.6*

I wish that on the newest update it will show the floor temperature on the wall thermostat itself. The way he shows the targeted temperature.

### 2/5 — Inaccurate usage or scheduling is not working.

*2026-01-01, version 2.1.6*

I have no clue how my usage for the day exceeds what I have set in the schedule. I set my nightly temperature extremely low so it doesn’t turn on overnight. I then set my morning temperature at 6am and to lower back down at 8am. What should be 2 hours of usage turns into 6 hours.
I am checking the usage at 7:30 am which would mean the system has been on all night since 1:30 am. The temperature in that room around 11pm is 70. There is no way that room drops to 50 between 11pm to 1:30am, especially when I have my whole house heating no lower than 64 overnight.

* finally figured it out. The scheduling turns on once it hits midnight and seems to think the wake temp is what it should be. It literally ran from midnight to my scheduled wake time and that was why I saw an usage of 6 hours.
Can someone fix this app?

### 2/5 — Inaccurate usage or scheduling is not working.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stop asking for a review

*2026-07-31, version 2.2.0*

Stop asking for a review. It is every few days.

### 1/5 — Took away features

*2026-04-15, version 2.1.8*

Not sure what happened but this app completely sucks now and is pretty much useless. Zero customer support response to issues.

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2026-04-12, version 2.1.8*

I no longer have control of my device settings from the app, it tells me I have to go to the device itself. What’s even the point of an app if you have to go to the device itself!? Also, and this is super annoying… the screen in the device no longer goes dark, it stays out all the time with the power button illuminated. What’s the point of a screen timeout or nightlight mode, if the screen stays lit all the time? I had to tape a piece of cardboard over the device because our bathroom doesn’t have a door and the light from the screen is super bright. Neither of these issues were present before so I’m guessing some “update” has made things worse for our unit instead of better.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2026-02-21, version 2.1.6*

Way too complicated. I just want to turn the heat on

### 1/5 — Could be better

*2026-02-16, version 2.1.6*

Constantly disconnects from my device. Then have to reconnect it.

### 1/5 — Might work. Who knows? Never connects with home internet

*2026-01-05, version 2.1.6*

This app hasn’t worked since we replaced our Google Nest (when we found out Google nest was on its way out)… and because we installed a heat pump and this is the app they use. But it is garbage. You have to use the wall unit because the app never connects to your house Internet… making the app useless

### 1/5 — Fed up

*2025-12-11, version 2.1.6*

This system is ridiculous!!! I have had people with university engineering degrees try to set up a stable schedule. Not happening! Give me back my basic thermostat. When I had that, the temperature in my house did not jump to 82• in the middle of the night!

### 1/5 — Offline routinely

*2025-11-13, version 2.1.6*

Consistently and frequently “Offline”. On the third Controller now, since initial install 10mos ago. No sense of having a smart thermostat that isnt. Its not the Wi-Fi ot data provider either

### 1/5 — Update

*2025-10-29, version 2.1.6*

The update stopped app from working.

### 1/5 — UPDATE FAIL!!!

*2025-10-29, version 2.1.6*

Do the latest update so your system FAILS. With fail, when you do a recommended app update you get system failure and have to figure out how to do a default to factory settings/reset/ reboot and dick around whereas everything worked perfectly before the update. DO NOT UPDATE YOUR APP IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY YOUR DAY!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Hard to use

*2026-08-05, version 2.2.0*

Hard to use

### 5/5 — Reliable and Functional

*2026-07-05, version 2.1.8*

Don’t know what I would do without this app. Allows me to manage and monitor my second home’s HVAC seamlessly and effortlessly.

### 5/5 — Hydronic Basement Floor Heating

*2026-06-17, version 2.1.8*

Keeps great control over all of the floor. The thermostat has a remote sensor inserted into the concrete floor and starts the pump as required to keep the floor temp at 22 degrees.
Very dependable and accurate. It displays the outdoor temp it gets from the internet.

### 5/5 — No NB

*2026-05-23, version 2.1.8*

Very cool helpful for remote second home.

### 5/5 — Watts Home

*2026-05-15, version 2.1.8*

Excellent

### 5/5 — Easy read

*2025-12-07, version 2.1.6*

Installation was very easy, if you have some electrical background.
Display is easy to read. Scheduler works very easily. Wi-Fi set up is great.

### 5/5 — Will not stay connected to WIFI

*2025-11-26, version 2.1.6*

Very disappointed in the WIFI connection, does not stay connected, I don’t have any issues with other devices on my WIFI.

### 5/5 — Van life

*2025-11-11, version 2.1.6*

I have the Tecmark 562 Wi-Fi thermostat in my camper van. I heat with propane and use hydronic in floor heat. I have a secondary radiator with fan that turns in if 5 f below temp setting for 5 minutes. It’s great to be able to quick warm the van after a day of skiing!

### 5/5 — Jerban

*2025-11-05, version 2.1.6*

Nice new controller. Old sunTouch replacement. One more to go. Easy installation.

### 5/5 — Awesome app update!!

*2025-08-21, version 2.1.5*

It took a while but they finally updated the app so that the Floor temperature (for radiant heat) as well as Humidity and Fan Speed are now displayed on the main thermostat page with easy access to the Floor heat settings. THANK YOU!!! This is so helpful and makes the whole system easier to use and much more functional. We really love the Watts app and the TekMar thermostats. (Using model 563) 🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

App updates keep getting better and better! Now with the Dark mode and feedback on the dashboard that shows which zones are currently cooling or heating, as well as the temp and setting. Thanks for continuing to make improvements!

Highly recommended!
