EV Route Planner and Charging Assistant WattsUp is the app that you’ve been waiting for and a revolution in how rapid charging options are presented to electric vehicle (EV) drivers. Enjoy the ability to easily view a chosen route knowing that the information is comprehensive, up to date and includes all major network operators. Features -------- WattsUp will show you all of the rapid chargers on your journey. Regardless of network operator, if it has the connector you need, you’ll see it. Missed the announcement of a new charger? Don’t worry, it will be there. We’ll automatically show you actual driving distances to chargers whilst en route. Choose a charger but see all of the alternatives using our intuitive status bar. Be forewarned if a charger isn’t working and choose an alternative *before* you arrive. WattsUp will show you the live operational status of a charging location (when available). Apply Filters to fine-tune your results to suit your preferences. Sadly it freezes and refuses to work in CarPlay I’d added three ‘favourites’ then chose one. The button flashed blue but nothing changed. The same for all the other controls in the app. Just stayed frozen. Update: Tried it again for a trip to Cornwall and there’s no improvement. Completely hangs while searching. Deleted again. ### 1/5 — Can’t use, my car isn’t in the database. Still not in db despite the response saying it’s added! *2025-02-26, version 2.30* As per title, the Renault Scenic isn’t available. The house has been here for over 15 years…. Sort it out! No excuse for this! And yes my address has been in Apple Maps for 10 plus years so stop being lazy and blaming Apple! 2. Car database …. Shoddy and needs a major update and keeping updated! Again no excuse for this! Why should I have to email you… this is a basic fundamental you need to sort! 3. Crashes when you try to update the database…. Poor code quality, sort out your testing 4. Routing - pretty good, implementation of selecting stops doesn’t update the route. Makes the app pretty pointless and the routing is painfully slow. 5. User interface- not great needs more work 6. Value for money …. A complete waste of money. How do I get a refund! It changes the way I think by offering the quickest route and then suggesting the chargers en route. Never again will I be dictated to by charging options.
