Decided to delete the app. ### 4/5 — If you want 5 stars you have to put a game in this app *2026-05-18, version 6.1.601* It needs a weather game for 5 stars ### 3/5 — Sadly Downhill *2026-01-13, version 6.1.101* The last 2 updates of this weather app have downgraded the better features of the app. While you can still name locations, when actually going to the radar map, you now must zoom in versus previously going directly to the localized portion I had set up. The map will not save my alerts for each location no matter how many times I put it in and hit save. I’m not sure what the upgrades were for each time, but I sure miss being able to hometown view with alerts enabled. That was the whole point of using this app for me instead of one of the built in recommendations from the App Store. This radar map now looks constantly zoomed out and generic for the whole US, and leaves me greatly disappointed. Wrong direction Wave3, and another update like these and I’ll move on to something else. Go back to more localized, you say you are the “local” station, so please be that again! Stop trying to compete in tech and stay hometown! ### 2/5 — Traffic update is terrible! *2025-12-19, version 6.1.101* PLEASE put the traffic map back to how it was. This update is horrible, and it is hard to figure out when there is no longer red, green, and yellow colors to let you know where the problems are. The rest of the app is ok. ### 2/5 — Radar changes *2025-12-10, version 6.0.1901* I mainly use this app to look at the radar, specifically to see the past-present. Seems like there’s no way to see just the past-present anymore. It always plays a future cast animation when I hit play. Also, I used to be able to easily pause it at the current time and see the precip and the alerts at the same time, but looks like that’s not a thing anymore either. ### 2/5 — I don’t like the latest update *2025-11-21, version 6.0.1901* I don’t like the removal of the radar animation options. I do not care about future radar, because it’s unreliable. I want to be able to see past to present radar animation like before, but it appears they removed the ability to select this. I don’t understand why they removed this option and made it less functional. ### 3/5 — I love ya, but… *2025-10-21, version 5.17.706* I love Wave 3 Weather but lately, there are too many catchy notifications that end up being click bait for not-so-relevant news “alerts”. I’m here for important weather changes. ### 2/5 — Deleting once again! *2025-01-05, version 5.17.509* As hard as they push this app in the broadcasts and commercials, you’d expect it to maybe give the actual news forecasts with expected snow totals etc. Instead you get the morning weather update that has a weatherman talk about traffic for 3 minutes and ending with “we will have the predicted snow totals coming up” , then another lengthy plug for this app (one the app) and then NO ACTUAL FORECAST! The next weather forecast video is 5 hours later and is once again the weatherman talking about traffic for 40 seconds along with an hourly bit showing snow every hour until freezing rain, but no totals predicted. This app was trash long ago and I deleted it long ago. I downloaded again ahead of this snowstorm only to find there is NO ACTUAL FORECAST AVAILABLE. It’s garbage and I’m deleting it for the last time. This is all besides the poor design, crashing and freezing that forces you to close and restart it, and most loathsome of all, they will only ever refer to the area in question as WAVE COUNTRY. Just how cheesy can you possibly get? Truly awful, lame, gag inducing, and makes me hate this app even more. Lots of endless loops so I need to delete and reinstall about once a month. While the world may have no problem with such ads, I do. I have deleted it the app. (Also I could not find any provision to comment on the app… went to their website, no provision there either for feedback. I guess they don’t want to know how they are doing) ### 5/5 — Wave weather app. *2024-10-04, version 5.16.1703* I love this app, just knowing that I have something to keep me informed about the weather 24/7 is very reassuring. Thank you for keeping us safe. ### 5/5 — Best weather app in Louisville. *2024-08-12* Finally found a local weather app that is easy to read and has the most information. Radar is miles ahead of the others. I can actually watch and see What the conditions are now and scroll through to see the next several hours. The only complaint I have is the repetitive advertisements. If you press the video a wrong way it will restart the entire thing along with the ad.
