### 3/5 — Confusing

*2025-11-02, version 4.7.0*

The layout is confusing, hard to find the reports and adding vitals, health information and confirming taken medication feature.

### 4/5 — Great app, wish it had a watch version

*2024-07-09, version 4.1.16*

I love this app - it’s very useful for keeping all my health info in one place so I don’t have to use SO MANY other apps to keep track of everything. I just wish there was an apple watch version. It would be really helpful to be able to mark meds as taken and input other data from my watch so I don’t have to always pull out my phone if it isn’t convenient to.

### 4/5 — Very Good! However...

*2023-11-19, version 4.1.1*

Something I would have to suggest for this app would be easier back-dating; i deal with major dissociation issues due to my mental health, and sometimes, even tho i'm symptomatic, i'm not entirely present enough to remember to input my symptoms. it would be nice to have an easier option to go back a day or few, and input the symptoms i felt that day.
My other suggestion would be to have a widget function, either via lock screen or home screen; something i can visually see with my symptoms, or with a chart, or maybe even something saying "have any pain/symptoms today?" and i can be like "oh! yeah i do! let me record it".

Otherwise, amazing app, and i prefer it to any other tracker out there.

### 2/5 — Symptoms disappear after updating phone

*2023-03-11, version 4.0.30*

I started using this app to track my symptoms which was fine until I realized that every time ios updates, all the saved symptoms disappear and you have to re-enter EVERY SINGLE ONE of your symptoms. And many of us chronically ill folks have many many symptoms and do not have the physical capacity to be re-entering symptoms every time ios updates. I do not have the ability to use my hands very much and re-doing all the symptoms would just cause a flare at this point so I’ve stopped using the app. This is extremely upsetting as I put a lot of effort into logging my symptoms and I really thought this app would help on my recovery journey but it turned out to just be a huge waste of time and physical energy.

### 2/5 — Symptoms are glitchy

*2023-02-14, version 4.0.24*

User friendly interface and I like how you can rate your condition as a percentage. But the main reason I downloaded this app was to track my symptoms, and they keep disappearing. At first, they were all there for a few days. Then they all disappeared. I added them back. They disappeared again. I added some back. Then they were gone every time I opened the app, custom and app-listed symptoms. It’s just too time consuming, plus there is no way to chart these symptoms.

### 2/5 — Premium is disappointing, will not continue.

*2023-02-07, version 4.0.22*

While it’s a fairly user friendly UI and it’s great to add so many custom symptoms, those symptoms will consistently disappear causing a lot of frustration and repeated entries (which will sometimes randomly show up again so you have double custom symptom options). On top of that, generating a simple report on specific metrics is the opposite of simple and defeats the purpose for tracking and sharing custom progress. I’ll be canceling my subscription and using another app, overall disappointed and would like a refund for the last few months I tried to give it a chance.

### 3/5 — Needs Improvement

*2023-01-09, version 4.0.20*

I have been using this app for a week now. There are positives as it tracks many issues. However if you make an error in the sleep tracking and try to correct the times it keeps adding up the hours. Yesterday I apparently slept for 33.5 hours😂😂. For this reason I would never pay $10.99 for a false report.

### 3/5 — Not really user-friendly

*2022-10-12*

It is too finicky, and it prompts me for details that aren’t relevant to me. It’s fine if you don’t have an easier alternative.

### 4/5 — Helpful and free, not without its bugs

*2022-06-16, version 4.0.10*

I like using Wave because it doesn’t require me to be diagnosed with anything or on medications to use it. I love adding my own symptoms and I basically use the app like journal for my physical symptoms throughout the day. However, I have often experienced that my symptom list gets erased if the app crashes. It can be really slow sometimes (like when logging bowel movements, etc.) and having to relist all my symptoms frequently annoys me. Other than that you aren’t going to find a better health tracking app for free!

### 3/5 — Set symptoms disappeared randomly

*2022-05-28, version 4.0.8*

One day all of my symtoms disappeared as options when I get my notification to update how I feel. They still show on the charts view, but I can't actually update them and now have to manually add everything back. Would love a backup option or something to make this easier.

Additionally, it would be great to get better data visualization or at least averaging options for symptoms. The chart view is very difficult to actually see trends on and a rolling average might improve readability.

### 3/5 — Contacts!

*2021-12-16, version 3.0.15*

So far I think the app is great minus the fact that I can’t seem to add but only one contact (doctor)??? Those of us with chronic illness have multiple doctors. Please fix this, or let me know what I’m doing wrong.

### 3/5 — Good but….

*2021-12-13, version 3.0.15*

I’m not sure if my phone is the issue here but this app is incredible for anyone with invisible/chronic illness and wanting to track symptoms.

I noticed when trying to edit the medication that it would not save the edited information despite me changing it.

This has only happened starting today but it’s started crashing every time I open the app and I lost all my profile information despite having set it all up.

Without these issues, the app is great. Though I wish it worked a bit better.

### 4/5 — Great for symptoms tracking, medication reminders too basic

*2021-10-11*

I am using this app to track daily symptoms due to chemo and it is BRILLIANT!
To get the full power of the charts and corresponding insights, the medication reminder functionality could be improved as currently is too basic for anyone with a chronic condition and multiple meds to be taken several times a day, most at different intervals and sometimes on specific days only.
I have to use a separate app for my meds reminders (“pill reminder”, brilliant for that!) which is a shame as would love to use WAVE as a one stop shop.

**Developer response:** Hi, Thank you for kind words and for letting us know about the medication tracking reminders! We are actually rolling out a brand new redesigned and revamped version of Wave very soon. Keep in touch and we'll let you know when and how we've addressed your concerns. Best, Claudia

### 4/5 — suggestions!

*2021-10-09, version 3.0.9*

just started using this and i love this app so far! there are a few suggestions i have after playing around with the app that i think may be helpful:

a. not select a start/end date for medication. i’ve been on medication for years so i don’t remember the start date and there isn’t an end date in sight for my meds. i also take supplements and those don’t really need a start/end date

b. make a 3rd gender option for those who don’t identify as male or female

### 2/5 — nah

*2021-07-10, version 3.0.7*

just another app that requires you to make an account using your email in order to save logs, but then ends up being super basic in terms of features. and you have to do the paid version in order to get reports.

i have some complicated health issues though, and personally im sick of needlessly handing out my email and stuff to companies just for an app that ends up being useless to me. but maybe it works well for people with more basic problems they need to keep track of.

### 4/5 — Great app! But I have a suggestion

*2021-07-03, version 3.0.6*

I absolutely love this app!!! I have POTS and ADHD and a few other things. That’s where my suggestion come along. I’m not sure if we can but if not we should be able to select more than one condition. Other than that, it’s a great app for spoonies! I recommend!

Edit: thank you for letting me know how to add a condition! I’m still new to this but I’m liking it a lot!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Privacy nightmare

*2024-08-08, version 4.1.18*

I deleted the app after a couple weeks because it was giving worthless info.

Now they’re sending me multiple weekly emails with no way to unsubscribe, violating the decades old CAN-SPAM Act.

And look at all the info they collect about you. That is not protected under HIPAA.

These are not the practices of a trustworthy company.

### 1/5 — Can’t tell if I like it

*2023-09-09, version 4.0.47*

It won’t let me get started. I got stuck on the level of anxiety and fatigue. My initial anxiety was none but it won’t show the circles for fatigue and won’t scroll up or go next. Increased my anxiety lol If it worked I might like it, couldn’t tell.

### 1/5 — Broken links

*2021-12-29, version 3.0.16*

I JUST got this app opened and partially set up, i go to add medications and it shuts down. Tried over and over and it keeps shutting down.

### 1/5 — Why isn’t PAIN listed on your symptom tracker?

*2021-06-10, version 3.0.5*

Your symptom tracker is a joke. I chose my condition (inflammatory arthritis), and was taken to the symptom tracker where there was no option for PAIN. Arthritis doesn’t give me diarrhea, or nausea, or constipation; I have CHRONIC PAIN!!! I’m so sick of health care and government IGNORING those of us with SERIOUS CHRONIC PAIN DISEASES!!!! I wouldn’t wish chronic pain on my worst enemy!!

### 1/5 — Better not have multiple conditions

*2021-06-09, version 3.0.5*

This app seems fine if you don’t have comorbid conditions. I have several but I can only select one condition to track. That’s just not helpful

### 1/5 — Would have given more stars but app just crashed twice in a row

*2020-12-06, version 1.8.1*

It would be great if my text showed up, but I guess this app is poorly developed

### 1/5 — Deleted more than a month of symptoms

*2020-09-08, version 1.7.8*

I’ve been tracking my symptoms for over a month to show to a specialist at my next appointment, and when I went to update it today, everything was gone! It’s hard enough to get doctors to believe there’s a problem because I’m young, but now I’ve lost any records too. I’m never using the app again.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2020-05-19, version 1.6*

Can’t even select a primary condition !

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2020-04-03, version 1.5.2*

I was so excited about this because I’m managing three chronic illnesses. The main one being endometriosis. Why isn’t this listed as a condition you can track?

### 1/5 — bad recent update

*2020-01-21, version 1.5*

overall the app is great. especially for spoonies, it’s awesome to have a single place to track almost everything.

adding custom symptoms sounds great, but every time you edit which symptoms you teach it erases all your custom symptoms. so if you can get it perfect the first time, more power to you i guess

i wish the app included some sort of period tracking functionality, because hormone fluctuations tend to exaggerate symptoms.

the new version of the app seriously limits functionality in the “chart” section. instead of being able to pick and choose symptoms/medications to view, it arbitrarily chooses five symptoms/meds, max, and there is no way to choose different symptoms/meds to look comparatively at. it makes it much more difficult to get information quickly, which is one of the reasons i use this app in the first place.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Really helpful for sleep and wellness tracking

*2023-03-16, version 4.0.30*

I’m in my 50s and struggling with sleep disruption due to menopause. I found it gave me some good insights that I was able to share with my doctor. Mental health tools are also a plus.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2023-03-11, version 4.0.30*

This app is simply amazing! It has provided me with beneficial tips on improving both my physical and mental health. The helpful content and the daily insights keep me on track so that’s a huge plus for me!

Also, the support team is quick and helpful in regards to questions and feedback!

### 5/5 — Great Symptom Tracker!

*2023-03-10, version 4.0.30*

Super useful to track symptoms on a day to day basis. The analytics and charts make it really easy to spot trends and detect what activities or actions help managing my condition.

### 5/5 — Great for managing my Rheumatoid Arthritis

*2023-03-02, version 4.0.28*

Wave health was a great tool for getting me the content I needed. Felt like I was in control and could actually understand what was causing my flare ups!!!

### 5/5 — Customer service is wonderful

*2022-11-08, version 4.0.14*

Overall, I find the app moderately helpful. I am in my first 14 days of trying the app and it’s ok so far. Also, the customer service is really good. I had trouble with the app and I emailed the customer service e-mail. They got back to me really quickly with a great solution. Couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

### 5/5 — Pretty good

*2022-05-08, version 4.0.6*

It’s a good application but a bit glitchy and slow
Besides that it really is good
I’m using it for recording my antidepressant withdrawal symptoms

### 5/5 — Wave health UX and UI

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-09-27, version 3.0.8*

My first day and it looks great so far. Will include a few easy suggestions to make it better…
- change “vaginal bleeding” to period unless that’s just a more global thing
- instead of “sad mood”, definitely change it to depression (more clinical) and add mania to the same area for better coverage of psych issues
- I have both monthly and weekly injections. Would you please add those time frames to the medication area for people who have injections or patches?
- add excessive hunger and thirst categories (diabetes and metabolic disorders)
- wasn’t sure if you knew it said breast swelling/tendernes”… it’s missing the other “s” on users daily window when you have it under tracked symptoms
- I’m not understanding the time frame of meds… I don’t remember when I started these years ago, nor do I need a finish date so it won’t let me enter them (should not be required to list the med)

Maybe harder but would be nice…
- I don’t understand add a meal. Is it just to say you ate that day? Could you instead have sliders for calories, fat, fiber, and carbs so we can look back and see that in conjunction with mood, headache, bloat and inflammation etc the next day?

Great work, just thought I’d ask about these changes. :)

### 5/5 — I love this app!!!!

*2021-06-04, version 3.0.5*

This app has been so influential in improving my mental and physical health. Wave makes daily self-check ins feasible and effective. I am so grateful for this safe space :)
