## What is WaveRec?

This app allows you to record and play your voice or any sounds you want. Before recording, you can choose a sample rate between 8 kHz and 48 kHz which allows you to control the audio quality. A higher sample rate will result in better quality but a higher file size at the end. Audio recordings are stored in wav format.

As you record, you can see the audio signal that represents your voice. You can stop recording at any time and continue later on the same recording if you want, even after closing the app, as you can load the recording from your storage.

You can also play the recording. If you want, you can change the playback speed to either accelerate the audio or slow it down. When playing, a cursor allows you to accurately choose the position in the recording where you want to play. This can be helpful if you plan to make long recordings.

All recordings you make are available at any time from the app. You can open them, continue to record, play the audio, share them with your friends, or delete them to free up storage space. You can also choose a title for your recordings to better identify them later.

Moreover, the app contains a speech recognition feature that allows you to transcribe your recordings to text. With this feature, you can see the words you said in the recordings. You may even share or save the transcripts themselves and thus use this app as a transcription app.
