## What is Waves Women?

Most guidance for hormonal symptoms is built from averages and general recommendations. Waves Women helps you build evidence from your own experience.

Hormonal symptoms can move on two timelines. Some shift from day to day. Others develop over weeks or months. Waves Women looks at both through two separate systems: a structured 4-week program and daily symptom check-ins.

START WITH A WORKING HYPOTHESIS
Answer questions about your symptoms and cycle information. Waves Women suggests your most likely hormonal pattern from the five patterns covered by its programs. This is a working hypothesis, not a diagnosis.

TEST WHAT SUPPORTS YOU
Your 4-week program includes three practical experiments related to food, sleep, movement, or stress management, matched to your working hypothesis.
Use quick daily check-ins to create a record of how your symptoms change. At Days 14 and 28, review what moved, what did not, and what appeared to help. Before each new program, your pattern is reassessed so the next hypothesis reflects the information you have shared.

FOLLOW DAY-TO-DAY CHANGES
Separately, log your symptoms each day. Waves Women analyzes your check-ins over time, cycle information, and other factors you choose to share. Its proprietary algorithm draws on established scientific evidence about associations between hormonal changes and symptoms.
When your information meets the required confidence threshold, Waves Women may show an estimate of which of five hormonal states you are likely experiencing, symptoms commonly associated with that state, and practical options that may support you today. If the available information suggests that your state may be changing, the app labels that shift as an estimate.

WHY TWO SEPARATE SYSTEMS?
Your 4-week program focuses on a slower pattern that may be associated with symptoms developing over time. Your daily state estimate focuses on changes that may occur over shorter periods.
Your program continues independently of your daily state estimate. Your daily check-ins do not wait for your program to end. This lets you observe both timelines without treating them as the same thing.

BUILT FOR HONEST RESULTS
Waves Women is designed to show uncertainty, keep estimates labeled as estimates, and include results that did not appear to help. The goal is not certainty. It is better evidence about your body.

WHO WAVES WOMEN IS FOR
Waves Women is for women experiencing hormonal symptoms at different stages of life, including perimenopause. Symptoms may include fatigue, disrupted sleep, mood changes, hot flashes, changes in concentration, and cycle changes. You do not need a diagnosis to begin.

IMPORTANT HEALTH INFORMATION
Waves Women does not diagnose or treat any medical condition and does not replace professional medical care. Talk with a qualified health care professional about symptoms or concerns that require medical advice.

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend!

*2026-08-11*

I started using the app about 2 weeks ago and after the initial observation week I was diagnosed unsurprisingly with high cortisol. After 5 days of the experiments the app recommended for me (16oz of water in the morning and a morning stretch routine) I feel like I fall asleep easier and don't face the usual morning fatigue and sluggishness. I was also able to opt out of an experiment to limit my caffeine intake because I don't drink caffeine normally anyways, so it is easy to personalize your plan. The daily check-ins are very quick and easy and give me an actual record of my symptoms instead of just a recollection making it easier for me to address them. I would recommend this app to any woman who feels a little out of sync or doesn't feel like a normal period tracking app tells the full picture of their hormones and cycles.
