Using the entire screen perimeter for directional control is not a great experience. ### 4/5 — Short but sweet *2023-05-16* I thought this was going to be like a puzzle game or a zen mode game where you wander around endlessly— however it’s different than I expected- but not necessarily in a bad way. You wander around collecting a number of poems scattered around the area then put them into a tree to make it grow, and that’s pretty much it. Just a suggestion, but a non-quest or endless mode with different worlds with corresponding (but equally aleatoric soundscapes) would make for a lovely companion piece to be used purely for meditation. Given the time and energy expended to create this immersive audiovisual environment with its shifting landscapes and quirky semi-interactive animated creatures, I would happily turn to this during times of stress or anxiety simply to wander randomly and soak up the ambience. Then there’s this really cute animation of a poem and a tree… then black again. No map, no character. Only instructions, pause button and a button with a symbol. It’s a shame :( ### 1/5 — Beautiful but really boring *2022-10-19, version 1.0.1* I thought something might happen when I found those things that needed to be found but that was it. The whole game consists of finding randomly placed artefacts in a plane area. No gameplay at all. At least it lasted only a few minuets. The music sounds really and the sound effects sound good. ### 2/5 — The sort of ‘worthy’ game aspiring middle-class parents think their children should play *2021-12-19, version 1.0.1* New-age values; Eastern-bloc cartoon aesthetic; next-to-no gameplay; ‘poems’ (in the loosest sense) to collect. * Moving vaguely near things to collect them, without any difficulty (let alone difficulty progression), does not really constitute a game. * Wishy-washy, unchallenging & very (& I mean VERY) short. * I was distracted by something more interesting in the real world while leaving my finger on the screen & still completed that level. 2 stars, solely for the art style - I just wish the developers had made something approaching an adequate product with it. If you want to do your bit to help the environment, don’t waste electricity downloading, ‘playing’ & ultimately deleting this damp dishcloth of a game.
