Stuttering frame rate and a ton of bugs (invisible enemies and chainsaw even...) sorry Dorkly guy. Keep the beard until you fix it. ### 2/5 — Fun for a short time *2018-06-04, version 1.0.5* But the I finished all the quests, upgraded to the invincible saw, have too much of everything to know what to do, and he developers seemed to have abandoned the game. ### 2/5 — Meh runner *2018-05-09, version 1.0.5* Just another runner with very little to distinguish itself from other runners. You run, collect coins, avoid obstacles and jump over things. Sure the world is colorful and bright but it’s not all that attractive and looks a little dated. The saw mechanic is basically just a boost or dash like in any other runner. The game doesn’t run very well on my iPhone 6s + and because of the slow downs and stuttering the game is a lot more challenging than it really should be. This game also really drains my battery fast (over 10% drop in less than 5 minutes of gameplay). Overall I feel like this game is a buggy, late entry into an already overly saturated “running game” market. I may adjust my review later if they update it a little more but as of right now this game is not worth the lack of ASP comics that we could have had instead. ### 2/5 — Mediocre *2018-03-20, version 1.0.2* it's meh in order to get the coolest stuff it takes a lot of grinding and the controls are unresponsive I flick up to jump to do the attack move the game play is repetitive and dull quickly. ### 3/5 — Fun but it gets old *2018-05-18, version 1.0.5* The game is cute and fun. But this game has its problems especially later in the game. This game loses its focus on a runner. It is more about collecting “nuts”. Also you really do not have the freedom to customize your character. The costumes and the awards give you better boost. So by the end, you’ll be wearing the best costume you have. Also the missions are insane. They don’t change the game whatsoever. They just get more annoying. I still play it because it’s a time waster, but this game has a lot that needs to be fixed. Hopefully there will be a second one that will fix all of these issues. ### 3/5 — Cute Endless Runner with Major Problems *2018-03-27, version 1.0.2* I really like the art design of this game, which is a given that I came to this app from the Drawfee Channel. Beyond that and the basic draw of an endless runner that you can pick up and play a little bit at any time, this game offers very little to me and actually feels punishing. The most glaring problem is that, even with Battery Saving Mode on this game drains my battery ridiculously quickly, making it hard to play. The game also freezes for a moment every time I get a checkpoint which often leads to me dying. The least serious problem is that the jump in requirements to unlock the next upgrades jumps significantly and quickly. I get that the draw of these games is to do good enough to earn the currency to get the next upgrade, and as a free game you have to do something to incentivize in-app purchases, so that's not a big deal. However, combined with the battery issue, it just feels like a slog to try to get there. ### 3/5 — Well designed, fairly lackluster *2018-03-21* For a second offering by a new developer, this game is impressively well crafted. The character concept is unique, the overall aesthetic design is fun, and the mechanics seem carefully implemented. That said, it’s a fairly run-of-the mill endless runner—right down to the in game currency and micro-transactions. To that degree, it comes across as very reminiscent of the Spider-Man runner, including how it controls for the most part. Even then, the tap-and-hold use of the “saw” attack isn’t very intuitive nor responsive, and only lasts for limited bursts. On the whole, I was bored within twenty minutes. It is a fine offering from someone new to mobile game development, but arrives years too late to the scene. The mechanics, in-app micro-transactions, and genre tropes used make this game a sadly generic and boring. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! We're always refining the mechanics in updates to make the gameplay and controls as intuitive as possible. We want Waynesaw to feel like a deadly dirtbike, so be sure to try out the hold-and-drag to chain enemies, in addition jumping ramps to hit high-up enemies. Also keep upgrading your saw as you progress so you can stay in "Saw Mode" as long as possible! Good luck out there and thanks again for the thoughtful review. ### 4/5 — Great game, but what just happened ? *2018-11-07, version 1.1.0* I don’t want anyone to judge this game based on my review; honestly, I would say 5 stars, but there’s a couple of problems that I’ve had with the game: 1. The Upgrade-to-Nut/Costume-to-Coin rates are kind of rough, meaning you’ll have to play a LOT to unlock things. This wouldn’t be so bad normally, but you HAVE to unlock costumes and upgrades to progress through the story. 2. I had an incident recently where I was on the App Store and a pop-up to sign in and confirm my card info appeared. Not thinking that hard about it, I entered my Security Code. An hour later, I discovered funds missing from my checking account; the deduction was labeled as an Apple Store purchase. When I looked into it, I realized that Waynesaw had charged me money without any prompt besides what looked like an update window. Keep in mind, I did not tap on the option to purchase in-game currency; in fact, the game wasn’t even running. I think it was simply my phone experiencing some kind of glitch. Other than that, this game is awesome. Thank you, Based Helpful Tony. ### 4/5 — Nice spin on the runner genre *2018-04-08, version 1.0.4* The art style here is what really sold it for me. I’ve played a few runners before but never really stuck with them. However, the concept for this game is really fun, anthropomorphic chainsaw? Hell yeah. The mechanics are fairly simple and easy to wrap your head around, I also like the addition of a jump move in there.
