## What is Waypoint?

Waypoint is a map utility for people who need more than a pin and a
direction. Explore, save, measure, convert and plan — with no account, no
ads, and no tracking.

EXPLORE AND SAVE
Tap anywhere to see exactly where it is. Search any place by name. Save the
spots that matter with your own name and note, and group them into
collections — a trip, a job, a season.

PLAN A TRIP, NOT JUST A ROUTE
Build a journey through as many stops as you like. Drag to reorder them, or
let Waypoint reorder them for you into a shorter route. See the distance and
driving time for every leg and for the whole trip.

MEASURE ANYTHING
Trace a path to get its length. Close a shape to get its area and perimeter,
in metres, hectares, acres or square miles. Useful for a field, a roof, a
route or a boundary.

EVERY COORDINATE FORMAT
Read and write the same point as decimal degrees, degrees/minutes/seconds,
degrees/decimal minutes, UTM, MGRS, a geohash or a Plus Code. Paste any of
them in and get the rest back. Copy or share whichever you need.

SUN AND MOON
Sunrise, sunset and solar noon. Golden hour for photographs. Civil, nautical
and astronomical twilight. Tonight's moon phase, how lit it is, and when it
rises and sets — for any place, on any date.

YOUR DATA, YOUR FILES
Export your saved places as GPX, GeoJSON or CSV, and import them back. Move
them to Garmin, Strava, QGIS or a spreadsheet whenever you like.

WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL
The converter, the measuring tools and the sun and moon almanac are all
calculated on your device. They keep working when the map tiles cannot load.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No sign-up. No analytics, no advertising, no trackers. Your
saved places, trips and history stay on your device.
