Seriously way too many ads. I just tried to read a story but I didn’t even get to finish reading the first line. The app will stop then restart and you have to listen to another pitch while you missed an important comment. ### 3/5 — Difficult to stay with *2021-06-17, version 6.20.0* I really like the guys in the morning, but at times the commercials are way overdone. RedEye radio especially has a short time for content, and they are about the best at analysis, information, common sense and truth. The app starts with commercials and shuts down; then on restart, more adds that override the ongoing conversation. I appreciate commercials that pay for the talent, but please let the guys work. ### 3/5 — Tooo glitchie! *2021-06-07, version 6.18.0* This app is horrible 😥. Has the developers tried to actually open and listen to it’s live content? Is it so hard to put a “listen live” button in a prominent location on the page? If you press the wrong area.... you are in a commercial circle.... constantly. ### 2/5 — Pitiful! *2021-05-10, version 6.18.0* I used to depend on this app but lately, the buffering is horrible and I’m so sick of the financial ad being played when you initiate the app and during the programs. The app will cut off, then I have to go through that stupid ad AGAIN. It will be non-responsive and I can’t listen on the App, I have to swipe it off instead. And it’s been like this for a few months now. And even before that it was up and down. Hope y’all can get it straightened out soon plz plz plz!! If y’all get it righted, I’m happy to update review accordingly. ### 1/5 — Need to FIX !! *2020-08-30, version 6.16.0* I don’t live in the DFW area and so this app not working means I can’t listen. I cannot get it to work on my iPad or galaxy phone - app loaded on iPad but all that plays is an ad, while the app won’t download at all from the play store on my phone. Something is bad wrong here, hoping it is fixed soon! ### 1/5 — Can’t play it now *2020-08-26, version 6.16.0* Ever since your last update, it will not play. I get the ad, but no news. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. I listen to the ad and then expect the show to begin and nothing happens. I deleted and reloaded, hoping that would help but it didn’t. I’m now listening to WBAP on iHeartRadio. I’ll check back in a few weeks and hope the bugs in the app get fixed. ### 1/5 — App used to work ok but now no sound *2020-08-21, version 6.16.0* As of last update i get the add sound and all but when i hit x to go to radio, nothing! I can go to weather, fine. Radio nothing. I hit play symbol, nothing. This app gets worse! It died a lot in past and then you had to listen to ads all over again. Ugh. I have tried closing app, pressing play does not start, priming it to play something else first. I’m not sure what you all have changed but this app has become REALLY buggy and frustrating. And yes, I always check to see if an update is available. Half the time it does nothing, after I get through the ads. I understand if you have to have ads, but the app needs to work better. I end up clicking the Talk Radio app and I get on immediately without any bugs. 🤷🏼‍♀️ ### 2/5 — Deleted app *2020-08-18, version 6.16.0* I deleted WBAP app because of the “third party” thing and for many of the reasons I read in other reviews.! Too many commercials, having to reboot all the time. I miss listening to WBAP but it has gotten to where it is boring to listen to all the extra commercials!!! ### 1/5 — Commercials are out of control *2020-06-30, version 6.12.0* I have used the app for a year. Great for the most part. I recently opened the app and prepared to go for a walk and the host of the program went to a commercial break. It was 18 min later before he return. Listened to several commercials twice! Deleted until they assess the value of their advertising. If no one is listening does the advertising work? ### 1/5 — Wbap app Wow *2020-06-29, version 6.12.0* Listen wbap on the app today, 2 trips today over 15 min each. All wbap played was commercials. Never got to the show. Listen often, just started today with the endless commercials. The app has not loaded for three days now. Going to have to find another place to listen. O and you can not report it because it times out before you can let anyone know there is a problem. ### 1/5 — Poorly Written App *2022-04-25, version 8.1.0* Possibly the most ridiculous app remains number one crap. Your update did great, now you get to listen to two commercials at once when launching. Not a surprise. ### 1/5 — Podcast access *2021-11-23, version 6.20.0* I find it impossible to find a link to a specific half hour of the Chris Crock program to send that link that specific part of this program to a friend. It’s nuts to just send them out to the website which is all I can see to do. And then have them go through and find the show that I want to listen to. I want to be able to get the link to the show and send that specific link. ### 1/5 — HELP *2021-10-08, version 6.20.0* Crashes every time I try to open. Good ad generator I guess…….. ### 1/5 — Last Resort Only *2020-10-13, version 6.18.0* Use this app only if you’ve exhausted every other option to get WBAP. No longer funny and turn off when he is on the air ### 5/5 — Latest App Issues *2020-08-25, version 6.16.0* I’ve read the other reviews and can empathize with them all. I had the same problems, but this is what I’ve noticed. Most of the current issues started after the last iOS update. This morning I deleted the app and then reinstalled it and it works as intended so far. One issue I’ve noticed is that the stream stops as I leave for work and my iPhone switches from wi-fi to cellular. Restarting the app solves this issue. Second issue, when on unsecured networks (public), it is somewhat finicky. Sometimes it streams and sometimes it won’t. Switching to cellular solves this issue(unlimited data plan helps). Third issue, if I interrupt the opening add, sometimes the app won’t start and no amount of pressing the play icon will start the stream. Restarting the app solves this issue. And I haven’t noticed any greater amount of commercials through the app than over the air broadcast. This is how radio pays its bills after all. If you like the programming, then you have to listen to the adds to get it. The best feature of this app is giving me the ability to listen to the programming when out of range of the 820 AM station broadcast and do it mobile. ### 5/5 — No Landscape on iPadOS *2019-10-16, version 6.6.0* The app works well on both my iPhone and iPad. However, I normally have my iPad standing in landscape but the software doesn’t rotate from portrait mode to landscape mode. It is annoying. I have it on IOS and IPadOS 13.2 beta 3 and no problems. Landscape please!!! ### 5/5 — Great *2018-06-01, version 5.2.2* Drive for a living, go outside of the area quite often. Nice to be able to continue to listen to my radio programs anywhere I go. By the pool or out of town, great to keep up with my radio hosts. Would like WBAP to mention more about this app. But no problems with the app thanks ### 5/5 — Crew Chief *2016-08-12, version 5.1.21* Does exactly what it says. Local news and weather at a touch. Radio starts right up when started. I could not even plug in the charger and listen to a full episode of Rush Limbaugh. But not now! It barely uses the battery at all now. I live in FTW and really like how I can listen to WBAP no matter where I'm at. Also, like the program schedule that scrolls in the app. Top notch...if you like WBAP this is a no brainer get it!!
