### 5/5 — It’s amazing

*2026-04-10, version 2.0.1*

It’s effective in blocking ads and trackers. Only improvement I would recommend is adding the ability to see what’s being blocked in the toolbar.

### 5/5 — Works Great and FREE

*2026-03-31, version 2.0.1*

App works really great plus its open source and free. Thank you dev for this.

### 5/5 — Game Changing

*2026-03-28, version 2.0.1*

The only real true iOS alternative to ublock origin

### 4/5 — Suggestion

*2026-03-23*

wBlock needs a DNS server feature to encrypt website traffic, using (at least) Cloudflare, Quad9, Google and OpenDNS servers. I recently switched from AdGuard, which has a DNS feature that allows access to websites and site features I can no longer access since switching to wBlock without a DNS route.

**Developer response:** This is something I've been considering, actually. It would unfortunately require maintaining server infrastructure on my end, which would be a recurring cost. I don't want to force users onto a subscription model, but if I do implement it, it would probably be done as a supplemental paid feature unless I find an economically viable alternative.

### 5/5 — Better than all others

*2026-03-23, version 2.0.1*

literally the best adblock app on ios

### 3/5 — Would be my favorite blocker but running into issues

*2026-03-21*

Lately I’m having it not load video properly compared to ublock origin lite. Not sure why cause I went through and disabled to see if I could find what was causing it and nothing fixed it. So maybe if we could get a report issue. It seems like sometimes it’s blocking too well or there is something on the back end that ublock is doing better.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2026-03-10, version 2.0.0*

This app was such a nice surprise to find! Updated frequently, iCloud synch, Userscripts integration, and lightweight. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Amazing AdGuard Alternative!

*2026-03-09, version 2.0.0*

Works so much better than AdGuard or other paid ad blocks out there. Thanks!

### 4/5 — Need more info

*2026-03-07*

App has appeal. (1)I must need how-to to use Greasemonky to insert scripts, no clue on using it; (2)Confused about message "hidden rule saved for this site" after using zapper; (3)Works well in addition with AdGuard. What I don't enable on AG I enable on WB. Helps AG work better too.

### 5/5 — The very best

*2026-03-04, version 2.0.0*

I am so incredibly grateful to the developer of this marvel. You are a hero, and everyone should know about Wblock!

I’ve extensively used Wipr, AdGuard and Ublock lite, all great in their own ways, but Wblock is the best; clean interface with deeper options available, lighter on battery than the others, and userscript support thrown in too! I was running Tampermonkey in Safari too, now all I need is Wblock. I’d love to see iCloud sync for the Userscripts, it’s my only issue for now.

I hope this goes from strength to strength… and never becomes a pay-monthly app, although I’d be more than happy to support it financially with one-offs.

### 5/5 — Seems solid

*2026-02-25*

Very much like the simplicity of the app. Works great other then if possible would be nice if it could be stronger at blocking redirects.

### 5/5 — Exceptional little gem!

*2026-02-23*

This ad blocker provides ease of use combined with extensive customization options, all while sporting a modern beautiful interface.
Additionally, its memory footprint is negligible and it is an open source application that doesn't collect any user data.
Outstanding product by a very talented developer.

### 5/5 — Perfect Adblocker

*2026-02-18, version 2.0.0*

Love the rate of development and the amount of love put into this. Paywall filter is perfect. V2.0 is even better!

### 5/5 — Top adblocker

*2026-02-16, version 2.0.0*

With the addition of the element zapper in version 2, this is now my favourite adblocker on iOS

### 3/5 — fantastic on mac, doesn't work on my iphone :(

*2026-02-16*

works beautifully on my macbook! fast, lightweight, easy to use. sadly it blocks very little on my iphone. switched to UBOlite for my phone, but sticking with wblock on my laptop. would really love if the mobile version was more effective since i want to run some if the more unique blocklists that UBOlite doesn't support. my thanks to the dev :)

**Developer response:** Most users have no issues on their iPhones. Could you update to 2.0.0 and then make sure that every extension is enabled, especially that "wBlock Scripts" is set to "allow", not "ask", for all websites? If that doesn't work, what helps some people is going into wBlock -> settings -> restart onboarding, and selecting "minimal," which is sufficient to block basically all ads.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Did not work on Safari, at all.

*2026-06-05, version 2.1.0*

Did not work on Safari. Gone thru all settings and applied. Did not work at all.

### 1/5 — Didn’t even work for a minute

*2026-05-23, version 2.1.0*

The very first website I went to had ads.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2026-02-27*

This thing blocks to much, I can’t order food from anywhere unless I shut this thing off because it blocks credit card payment and Apple Pay , also blocks pretty much everything on google and other sites that shows text only making this thing pretty useless unless you like read only.

### 1/5 — Update Feb 26 Removed Google Logo!

*2026-02-16*

Just started using this block a month ago. Loved it. Until this morning a new update removed the main google logo on my home page! I can’t see it say “Google” or see any of their logo changes. There is no way to disable this and no way to contact anyone normal for help. Support takes me to some giant website for tech geeks and requires me to sign it and a layman would have zero idea what they are talking about. No way to email someone for help. Put back my Google logo or I will have to dump this Ad Blocker.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2025-12-24, version 1.1.0*

Get a constant reminder that I have unapplied filters despite them already being applied. Also NOT blocking all ads on sites despite having every single filter enabled.

### 1/5 — No good

*2025-12-15, version 1.1.0*

Causes a fight between browser and website

### 1/5 — Can’t get it to work

*2025-12-06, version 1.1.0*

Migrating from AdGuard on iOS.
Promising however unable to block any ads. Onboarding process is the same for the two applications but wBlock blocks zero.
App UI is buggy - 1)warnings about filter numbers out of the box when the no. of filers is well under threshold 2) manual rule and filter list update shows no errors but logs show filter apply errors..

Will check this again in a few months to see if it improves. Thanks and good luck.

### 1/5 — Isn’t blocking Ads

*2025-11-22, version 1.1.0*

Seems to not be blocking any Ads when everything is enabled and checked. Sometimes I get multiple errors saying that filters aren’t updated or applied at infinity.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t complete install on Tahoe

*2026-04-08, version 2.0.1*

I cannot complete the install of version 2.01 on macOS Tahoe 26.3.1 on an M1 MacBook Pro because it won’t let me click “Apply & Finish” after everything is set up. I have to Force Quit wBlock. Relaunching it then puts me back at that same point.

### 2/5 — Close but not quite

*2026-01-17, version 1.2.1*

Switched for lightweight benefits but performance is not on par with more established ad blockers. Just too many things would get through, despite tweaking with filters. Could be good app in the future

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works great

*2026-07-07, version 2.2.0*

Works great and it’s free and open source!

### 5/5 — Just enough and out of the way of the user!

*2026-05-25, version 2.1.0*

Simple to use and not constantly annoying!
If it misses some-things how am I supposed to know these things. Im not a programmer!
Sales pitch of other software relies on us dummies!!!! Some webpage content can not be blocked so don’t bash this product unless you understand this concept! Looking at you Youtube! Lol..

Thanks Alexander for this simple and effective software.

### 5/5 — Best available option

*2026-05-24*

I’ve used uBlock lite, Wipr2 and some other options. This is currently the best option for adblocking on iOS and the closest to the functionality of uBlock Origin on desktop. Element hider actually works!

### 5/5 — A Spectacular FOSS AdBlocker!

*2026-05-20*

This has to be one of the best AdBlocker solutions for Apple platforms. And an even bigger bonus that it’s FOSS (free and open source)! Plus its filter rules update independently from the app, which means updates can come quicker than uBlock Origin Lite on iOS! A must download for anyone needing a reliable AdBlocker on Safari.

### 5/5 — 自定义脚本问题

*2026-05-20, version 2.1.0*

开发者您好！请问自定义脚本在那下载？支持哪些格式？有官方论坛，TG类似的官方讨论平台吗？谢谢！

### 5/5 — Best available

*2026-05-19, version 2.1.0*

This is by far the best adblocker available on iOS.

### 5/5 — Incredibly Effective at Blocking YouTube Ads

*2026-05-18, version 2.0.3*

I’ve used uBlock Origin Lite since it just became available for iOS and, while it’s a fine Adblock in its own right, wblock just works better for YouTube. wblock just blocks all the ads without breaking the page. With UBOL I would often have to refresh the video for it to properly load. Not with wblock, which is more effective and efficient overall. It’s become my go-to ad blocking app and I’m thankful to the developer for making it available to all of us for free.

### 5/5 — Beyond useful

*2026-04-22, version 2.0.2*

Super props to this developer. The VERY BEST blocker available.

### 5/5 — Best adblocker for safari

*2026-04-16, version 2.0.1*

Have been following this project from its alpha days, exactly what an ad blocker should be!

### 5/5 — Practically Flawless

*2026-04-16*

I can’t think of a single problem that I’ve encountered because of wBlock. This is the best adblocker since the death of proper extensions on Safari and the userscript manager is the cherry on top for convenience. Works perfectly on both MacOS and iOS. Great job.
