Every season and not just twice a year, which always occurs far later than the season’s onset. No one wants to look at snow and ice in June. We need more people to vote them out of office because they’re not looking out for us. They’re looking out for themselves. I’ve been here all my life and Vermont has never ever been this bad until the Democrats took over. It’s been a blue state and it’s now time to turn it to a red state and get Vermont back to the way it was. I understand that advertising is necessary but couldn’t you give some indication about which stories are true news items? The numerous click-bait ads are nothing short of annoying. ### 2/5 — Clickbait *2023-08-21* Dear WCAX, I am deleting this app because of the clickbait. Good journalism does not include the use of old stories to get readers. Today’s clickbait was a story from 2017 about an accident that happened during Addison Field Days. You folks can do better than this! I know the channel is careful with the televised offerings. It’s a respectable source of news. Frankly, the app is unreliable as a source of current VT events. WCAX, get a grip! What you present matters in app or televised. The brand deserves a better effort! To the curious, VT Digger is a great source of high quality, unbiased, timely reporting. Don’t bother with this app. Digger is completely free even via email. They are truly worthy of your reading attention. ### 1/5 — Not happy. *2023-07-21, version 2.0.8* I tried to see the live stream and watched an ad, then the ad ends and the stream stops. Try to restart and get another ad. Never did get to watch the news. ### 2/5 — Adds *2023-05-29, version 2.0.7* If you’re going to require we look at the adds before even getting to your sight, please at least enable readers to click out of add. Most of the time I cannot get out of the add to read the news stories. Seems this defeats the purpose. A bit confused and annoyed… ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Very poor app *2026-03-08* I have tried to watch the news while away on vacation, the picture is way ahead of the voice and the closed caption blocks the view of the video. One segment and then breaks for commercials, which causes a very irritating sound while waiting for the commercial to complete. If you are going to have an app, a total upgrade is needed. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-02-28, version 3.0.1* This new website is not user friendly, please go back to the other website. I also don’t get the updates sent to me automatically. What’s up!!! ### 1/5 — Pop-up ads *2026-02-28* There are much better ways to advertise than highjacking the users entire app experience. I delete apps with ads that take over your whole screen without warning for far too long. I get they need to sell ads to make money, but they need to find a better way to incorporate their ads. Not using the app until they fix it. Way too annoying. ### 1/5 — New WCAX APP *2026-02-24* You recently changed the app. It seems like some young computer programmer wanted to show everyone how incredible he is and made a total mess of your new site! The new site is packed with advertisements all over the page, and the news now has tiny pictures some on the right and then on the left, and sometimes large pictures in the middle! What a mess!! I’m 81 years old and don’t want to spend my entire day looking for the news on the new format. What a mess you have made of your site!!! Thank you for listening! On our fire stick we get the most inappropriate adds and have to mute them for our young kids. Doesn’t even work on my phone since the update. Often the ad will run and the video new story will be a blank screen.
