However, the app is irritating. To listen to the live radio feed, you have to see a 30 second ad every time. Then this is followed by an audio ad, then you get to the live feed, which may be ads or actual talk show. I had an alarm go off on my phone, when the app came back. It was playing the audio ad again. Rather irritating. ### 3/5 — Annoying Ad *2025-05-07, version 12.0.45* I like the app but am giving it 3 stars because I am so tired of the Certified Financial Group 30 second ad. It is a poorly put together ad with music that is “off key” and the ad is boring and not compelling. They’ve been running this same ad almost exclusively that it feels like WDBO has totally sold out to Certified Financial Group (CFG). Ads are supposed to be creative, humorous, compelling (think Geico, etc.). It is possible to be off putting to your customers by over running an ad, and that’s where I’m at with this ad. I don’t even want to open the app anymore because I know right off the bat I will have to watch this boring ad. I’m actually kinda resentful towards CFG at this point lol. It’s time to retire that ad, guys. If you want to improve this app, switch up the ads please, or allow us to skip this one 5 seconds in. Also, I appreciate the $1,000 keyword drawing but can you guys please simplify the process? Many of your listeners are driving when the keywords are given. For safety reasons, do you really want a bunch of people that are driving to rush to try to fill out a form? Perhaps make it so that our info is saved in the app itself and we submit through the app without it redirecting every time to a webpage. ### 2/5 — Too many commercials *2024-10-07, version 11.17.80* I loved this app for hurricane coverage and I just downloaded it again and had nearly 10 minutes of commercials. When wearing headphones it gets annoying having to keep turning the volume up or down. When it goes up it does so abruptly and hurts the ears. This definitely needs to be addressed. Both new stations have terrible reception. It forces people to either use the delayed app or listen to static. Ridiculous. The app works most of the time..... but even with AT&T and Verizon.... it still cuts out on occasion and is delayed. However, it’s seemingly a way for a major corporation to limit conservative broadcasts. Nonsense. ### 3/5 — Needs work *2020-07-09, version 11.14.4* I like the content and most things about it. However, on my IPad the content does not update automatically. The three things will stay the same for days. I have actually had to restart my IPad to get things to update. Most recently I get a message that I have a slow connection and I have to press play over and over before it will live stream. Sometimes when I pause and then press play commercials come on before the live stream. Once I let them go and finally after about eight commercials in a row I restarted. Some of the links on the app do not take you to active pages. So although I love the station and the overall content of the app, it frequently frustrates me when it fails to work properly which lately is several times a day. You’re in the right place *2025-12-11, version 12.0.70* Absolutely terrible app. I spend a lot of time on the road and have used the app to listen while not in the Orlando area. Every phone call I get resets the app and makes you listen to that awful ad for Certified Financial planners. The ads is over 30 seconds long so if you are on the phone frequently you end up listening to that ad way more than anything on the radio. I really miss Dana Loesch in the afternoons but o don’t mind the new guy. ### 5/5 — App makes up for changed broadcast radius *2021-03-01, version 11.14.36* Thank goodness for the App With the change in stations ( no more 96.5) on FM and evidently also less old WDBO AM broadcast radius ( I at least think it was better on old 580 before extended to FM), the app still allows being able to tune in when not close to Orlando city limits. The Jacksonville sister station reaches all the way to the Orlando side of Daytona, but WDBO fades out along I-4 way before I-95. And the often occurring repeating of bits and pieces of the transmission has almost completely been eliminated. I could get it in Melbourne north to St Augustine west almost to Ocala etc.Then I moved to Mississippi that’s another story. I was so excited to move back and listen to WDBO again. I now live in Deland and I can’t begin to get a clear unbroken signal until I get to Exit 111 -108 on I 4 in the early morning. This upgrade has been a down grade. I count on traffic reports heading West I love Joe and the morning group I thought the old WDBO was a 50,000 clear watt channel. I vote to go back to the old FM station.
