First up fix the dang CC!!!! About 95% of the time it won’t turn off no matter if you go into the settings & turn it to off or what you do. Quite irritating!!! Also 2-3X a week it’ll want to play the previous newscast segment sometimes including the previous day. Once in awhile you might get lucky if you close it out a couple times you MIGHT get the news that’d be currently streaming. ### 2/5 — Slow to update! *2025-07-26* The news they push on the App is slow! The age of technology has not caught up with WEAR. Weekend updates are even slower; expect 1-2 news worth updates but delayed from 48hrs of happening. One would think they can update the same time as their live news feeds at a minimum but not this one. Most of their news worth evens are negative: crash here/there, arrest, etc. WEAR is political…they will push Democratic info. ### 3/5 — Needs work on old articles at bottom of stories *2024-10-14* Almost seems like fear baiting. You will read an article and at the bottom there are past articles posted. These are usually past hurricane articles that could be deceiving to someone not clicking on the story and seeing the date. The WEAR web news team gets it first and gets it right! This is the best way to get Pensacola breaking news. The WEAR webpage and app gave the quickest and most accurate updates to that horrible murderer on the loose situation last weekend. I noticed the Associated Press used their reports 'word for word' across the US. Yours is so antiquated it takes twice as long to show a “breaking news story “ and that’s IF you ever do get it. I’ve added it to my app page a couple times and it just mysteriously disappeared. I have channel 5 loud and clear but that’s all I get forthe Gulf Breeze area where I live. I also have apps for Arkansas, KARK, KATV and KTHV. They all perform properly with breaking news except yours. Please help .
