## What is Wearage?

Wearage tracks bicycle component wear using your Strava ride data — so you always know when to replace your chain, cassette, tires, brake pads, and more.

Connect your Strava account once, and Wearage automatically syncs your ride distances to every component on every bike. No manual logging. No guesswork.

TRACK EVERY PART

Add components to your bikes and Wearage tracks how far each one has been ridden. Set your own replacement intervals or use the built-in defaults based on component type.

KNOW BEFORE IT BREAKS

Wear progress bars and alerts tell you when parts are approaching their limit — before a worn chain takes out your cassette, or a cracked tire leaves you stranded.

SERVICE REMINDERS

For wax chains, Wearage tracks kilometers since last wax and reminds you when it's time. Log a service event with one tap to reset the counter.

### 1.8.0 — 2026-08-27

New in this build:
  - The Maintenance Cost screen now shows a total-spend summary at the top, plus each bike's own maintenance total right next to its name

  Fixes:
  - Custom components (like a dropper post or pedals) no longer turn each other off — you can now have multiple different custom parts active at once
  - Sync History no longer shows entries for rides that added no mileage

### 1.7.3 — 2026-07-19

New in this build:

- Components can now track wear by moving time (hours) instead of distance — useful for suspension, bearings, and other parts where hours matter more than km. Enable per component in Advanced Options
- Set an optional lifespan and service interval in hours to get a wear bar and service reminders
- Wearage now auto-syncs with Strava when you open a bike, so wear is always up to date before logging a service or retiring a component
- A sync indicator shows when a sync is in progress; action buttons are disabled until it completes
- Swipe left on any service history entry to delete it. Deleting the most recent entry restores the previous service state

Fixes:

- "Top up sealant" and "Replace sealant" now correctly appear in service history
- Wax/service interval no longer silently drops when a decimal value is entered (e.g. "300." now saves as 300 km)
- Service history entries now appear immediately after logging — no need to navigate away and back
- Deleting a service entry now removes it from the list (a missing database permission was causing deletes to silently fail)
- Permanently deleting a component now returns to the bike view instead of the garage
- Internal system events no longer show as "Serviced" entries in service history

- Tap any component to open a full detail view;  wear stats, specs, service history, and all actions in one place.

- Tubeless tire support; mark a tire as tubeless, set your sealant top-up interval, and Wearage will remind you when it's due. Log a top-up or full sealant replacement with one tap, and it goes straight into your service history.

Cost tracking; add a purchase price to any component or bike. Wearage calculates your cost per km (or mi) so you know exactly what your setup is costing you. A new Maintenance Cost screen in Settings gives you a full spending breakdown by year.

Component renaming; rename any component directly from the edit screen.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-05-12

You can now export all your component data as CSV or JSON directly from Settings — great for backups or analysis in a spreadsheet.

Added support for custom component types, so you can track anything on your bike, not just the built-in parts list.

Move components between bikes — if you swap a part from one bike to another, Wearage now carries over the accumulated mileage correctly.

New component options: disc brake rotors, plus front/rear/both position selectors for brake pads and tires.

Under the hood, the app is more resilient — database operations now retry automatically on poor connections.
