Разработчики куда смотрят не знаю ### 1/5 — Still Doesn’t Work *2021-10-11* Despite using the proper frequency on a mobile device, the app fails to recognize the 2.4GHz network, thus you cannot connect and move forward in link your PWS with Weather Underground. Further, the app is broken- when using other functions of the app, such as registering for a PWS ID from Weather Underground, you get the message: “An unknown error occurred, try again.” The apparent problems that plagued the app (as many have mentioned prior) have obviously continued to; the Weather Connect has not been updated in several years. Disappointing because I’d love to utilize the data and share it. ### 1/5 — Is This A joke? *2021-08-09, version 1.2* Useless app and no support. The experience of using this app is simply awful. The apparent requirement of a 2.4 GHz network means I’ll have to do some reconfiguring of my network and even if I do it sounds like there’s a good chance this still won’t work. This app feels like a summer project for a distracted high school student that never went through any review or QA. I have spent more than a hour trying to get it to work but it still always has some sort of issue this app hasn’t been updated in years and I doubt the developer will fix anything. The issue seems to be that the app can’t find the WiFi network but I don’t know. Terrible app. ### 1/5 — App won't recognize WiFi network *2023-12-09, version 1.2* The app is pretty straight forward, unfortunately it doesn’t work at all. I tried both the IOS and Android versions and neither will recognize my 2.4GHz WiFi network. When your iPhone is connected to your local WiFi network, this app is supposed to display your network SSID and allow you to enter your base station password. Only then can you enter your Weather Underground credentials. But, you can't get that far if the app won't find your network and only displays “Wi-Fi” in the network name field and won't let you edit it. I'm a retired network pro, so I have a clue about WiFi, IP addressing, etc. This app fails miserably. I will never buy another Lacrosse product. ### 1/5 — iPhone weather connect app *2022-06-23, version 1.2* Attempted to use Weather Connect on my Iphone 13Pro Max to connect La Crosse V40A- Pro weatherStation to the weather underground. After numerous attempts I got a failed message every time. I called La Cross tech-support they had me jump through all the hoops I had all ready done and then admitted basically it’s not supported much anymore and hasn’t been updated in five years. I had an idea to get out my Samsung tablet since the IOS app was missing a screen that was supposed to show my available station. I downloaded the Weather Connect app on the Samsung tablet android Opened it and selected main menu put in my weather station ID number KO7ASTOR32 on the first line login and the second line password my station Key number it should be a 8 character code. And viola it said success. Two hours later I was broadcasting my station to the weather underground. Bottom line is iPhone app does not work with Lacrosse but android Weather Connect does. Hope this helps somebody. I had no problem connecting my La Cross station to WU, and it has worked flawlessly so far. I suspect some people are not waiting long enough for their stations to connect. It may look like the app is continually requesting information about your network, but just be patient, it may take a while for your station to appear on WU. ### 5/5 — Not connecting *2018-02-09* Scanned unit, connected to WiFi got weather underground I’d and password and now will not connect to WiFi to share weather I had my mifi jetpack jet up with the primary at 5 gig and the guest set at 2.4 Weather connect app couldn't find my station until I changed the primary ot 2.4 connected to primarray first try. evidently it didn't like being a guest lol ### 5/5 — Easy to use *2018-01-12, version 1.2* Great app. Easy to use. ### 5/5 — Got it working! *2017-05-14* It took a couple calls to La Crosse, WI, but we figured out that I needed to use the 2.4 Ghz radio only. We have Aruba 205's so I made a new SSID named Lacrosse and set it to only use the 2.4Ghz band. After that, I had to disable ARP broadcast blocking on this SSID to proceed to step 2 on the app. ### 4/5 — Thanks KCS84 *2017-07-04* If it were not for KCS84's post below, this was going in the trash. I bought this to replace an Accurite station, install is super simple. Documentation does not exist, there are no instructions for recommended mounting positions. I had the same issue with my setup (Airport Extreme) 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz both on, the station would connect to my wireless, but the app never indicated so, it would always show fail. Per the info in KCS84's post, I disabled the 5GHz on the router, and the app worked instantly. I re-enabled the 5GHz and still works just fine. ### 3/5 — Says it won’t connect to WiFi but ignore this *2018-12-23* This probably took me three hours to figure out but in the end it worked. I tried everything to get the app to connect to my WiFi including turning off the 5ghz part of my router but it continued to say it failed to connect. Finally I discovered that as long as my phone and my weather station were connected on the 2.4ghz frequency of my router I could just ignore this and click the back arrow (top left) and move onto the next step. All that needs to connect device is to hold + and - buttons together until the wifi icon blinks. Then enter password if you are password protected then hit confirm. First page on app helps you set up the device ID and key. Then wifi icon will stop blinking. You are connected. I gave it a rating of 2 stars as LaCrosse instructions are not as detailed as they need to be to use this app. ### 2/5 — Won't connect to WIFI *2017-04-22* As others have reported, will not connect to internet. Tried 5 times before I saw the reviews. This is my 3rd Lacrosse weather station. First one with wifi. The wind registration has didn't work on the first two.. Just got this one.
