### 5/5 — This is how weather forecasts are meant to be shown.

*2026-03-21, version 1.9.9*

If you love data and design, this is the weather app for you. Once you learn how to read the strip, you can get everything you need to know about the weather for the next hour, day, and week in one second. Everything is thoughtfully laid out in terms of visual hierarchy. The widgets are thoughtfully designed. I live my life by this app. This is what technology is for. Thank you to the developer!!

### 5/5 — Really good app

*2026-03-19, version 1.9.9*

Does everything I want a weather app to do, somehow without feeling cluttered at all. Makes every other weather app seem chintzy and confusing and leaving out data. When other people check the weather and say something different from what this app says, I don’t gloat because I don’t want to be a jerk, but I know they’re trusting bad information. Makes me calm even if the weather news is bad. This is one of a few apps I pay for and i never remotely question whether it’s worth it.

### 5/5 — Just wanted dew point more accessible, now I’m hooked

*2026-03-08, version 1.9.9*

I was looking for a weather app that could show me the dew point in a widget, and this one popped up. Although not exactly what I was looking for, I’m glad I stumbled on this little app. It’s a genius, clean interface with all the information and none of the annoying, hard to read tables most apps have. It really speaks to my engineering background!

### 5/5 — Clear & Concise

*2026-02-23, version 1.9.9*

So good, my app-hating wife even loves it. We depend on it daily.

### 5/5 — Mishap

*2026-02-14, version 1.9.9*

So I had an account and now it’s telling me to sign in after like a few days and I’m like why is it telling me to sign up when I already have an account so now I’m like wait how and why is it telling me to sign up when it’s supposed to be free and it is to installand it’s not costing money to install so like why are they telling us to use a new account?

### 4/5 — Best weather app!

*2026-01-26, version 1.9.9*

Best weather app hands down! Most intuitive graph. By far the best iPhone widget. Having the whole day on a single hourly view (vs every single other app only showing six or eight hours) is great. Tapping on the temperature to see the other temp scales is really neat. I recommend Weather Strip to everyone as often as I can.

### 5/5 — I paid for it

*2026-01-18, version 1.9.9*

Can’t believe I paid for a weather app but here I am. This is so useful, especially as a widget! I’ve been using this for a year and it is one of my favorite apps. It’s shocking how accurate it is especially where I am - it’s notoriously hard to predict the weather. The best is that it shows the probability trend. Unlike other apps, I focus less on the raw numbers and e.g. whether it’s trending towards more or less rain in the next few hours. I also love that new features are being added. My favorite one is that it predicts rainbows! My kid loves it :)

### 5/5 — Just really visually appealing

*2025-12-20, version 1.9.9*

My eyes like coming to this app to get information I need and just absorb different sights on my phone. Very soothing.

### 5/5 — Visual Weather at its Best.

*2025-11-18, version 1.9.8*

I have been using Weather Strip for nearly 3 years now and it has become my #1 Go To to for my weather. For those who like/need Graphic visuals for better understanding and comprehension, This app Just Works Best.
It’s well maintained by the Dev’s and constantly updating and improving. So, being able to visualize your whole day, and week/weekend Wx makes all the info so much more useful. Try it out, it really works well in practice. 5 ⭐️’s

### 4/5 — Solves weather-at-a-glance, but not UI

*2025-10-14, version 1.9.7*

You have to use the chart to believe how good it is! The combination of texture, weight, contrast, and selective details really lets me “see” the day ahead with barely any attention, yet surfaces specifics when I need them. The widgets are equally as good, which makes them far better than any other weather widgets I’ve seen.

However, the typography is a little plain, and (in my opinion) the perpetually-half-light-half-dark theme holds the overall experience back.

### 5/5 — The best I have found

*2025-07-25, version 1.9.6*

I have tried lots of weather programs. This is by far the best.

### 5/5 — Thoughtfully Crafted

*2025-07-24, version 1.9.6*

After years of trying all kinds of weather apps this one really hits the nail on the head. This is by far the best way to demonstrate weather information and it makes me seeing my day and week in a glance so easy. Paired with a radar app this does everything I need it to do. Not often I leave a review but I felt the need here.

### 5/5 — My favorite weather app

*2025-07-18, version 1.9.6*

This is the easiest way to consume all the info you want to get from a weather app. Precipitation, temperature, feels-like, cloud cover, sun rise/set? You can get all of that info with a glance at a phone widget on your Lock Screen! All I want now is watch widget pretty please!

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-06-22, version 1.9.6*

This visual design is simply the best way to see the day’s weather at a glance. And the developer continues to refine things. I also love the widgets.

### 5/5 — Nothing like it

*2025-05-30, version 1.9.6*

It takes a couple of minutes to get used to the presentation, but I love how incredibly dense the information is in the charts. There’s really no other app that lets me have a widget where I can see everything I’m interested in about the weather all in one compact view.

### 5/5 — The Perfect Weather App

*2025-04-03, version 1.9.5*

This app is exactly the native app I once sketched out to build to reproduce the usability and information density of Weather Underground’s 10 Day forecast charts that for some reason no other weather app maker wants to provide. :rage:

But I never got off my butt to build it and now I don’t have to! Happy to pay the annual subscription to cover data costs and support the dev!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nah

*2026-07-30, version 1.9.12*

One star for too many review prompts

### 1/5 — Broken Widgets

*2024-11-22, version 1.9.2*

The app is great, but the widgets are totally non functional.

### 1/5 — No map

*2023-07-04, version 1.8.2*

This is a very nice looking weather app but you really shouldn't be charging a subscription for a weather app with no map. I was going to do a 3 star if it wasn't for the misleading App Store screenshots that show a map, it's not a weather map it's just a location map, you were fully aware that screenshot was put in because people would rightfully assume it's a weather radar.

### 1/5 — Платно

*2023-05-26*

Одно из сотни приложений, показывающее погоду. Интерфейс убог, функционал тоже. Проще воспользоваться встроенной погодой в айфоне, которая в разы функциональнее чем эта поделка с подпиской!!!

### 1/5 — Not free.

*2023-05-25, version 1.8*

If you are not a free app that’s fine. Don’t pose as free and tell us we have to sign up for free trial and pay up soon

### 2/5 — Pretty inaccurate

*2021-08-22, version 1.1.1*

I’ve wrote a review before noting that I was getting rained on by heavy rain and the app didn’t change status at all and I’ve been completely dry and hot outside with the app telling me 65% rain and heavy rain. I like the look and flow of the app but ultimately I can’t use this on its own or rely on it for accurate, right now, weather. I have now passed my free trial and can’t even hang around to see if it gets better. Although cheap, I can’t allow myself another in app purchase for something that I can’t say actually brings me any value.

### 3/5 — Concept is good

*2025-08-23, version 1.9.7*

After using for three years, I still encounter a few bugs which makes me question validity of forecast, and I need to cross verify with other apps. Decided to cancel subscription. Too bad; the concept is good.

### 3/5 — Too expensive, but great potential

*2025-07-30*

Very intuitive data visualisation, for me among the best weather app concepts out there. Everything on one screen without flooding me with figures, icons etc. I think the overall design has a nice feel to it, I really like it! But then there is the subscription. I‘m aware that Apple takes its share and that weather data costs, and I like to support indie developers – but both data providers (Apple, Foreca) offer their own weather apps for free, including radar and translations. So I find it hard to justify 18€ a year for this app, which I think is essentially a different (but imho much better!) skin for those two apps mentioned. However, I wouldn't mind 1€ per month if there was a German translation (maybe community-assisted via the poeditor website?).

### 3/5 — Please add a visibility layer

*2025-03-01, version 1.9.5*

This app is great, it would be perfect if it had a way to indicate visibility like apple weather.

Please do this. :-)

### 3/5 — Inaccurate

*2025-02-02, version 1.9.3*

Forecasts just aren’t accurate for me. It always overestimates rain, or missed it entirely. No radar map. Was hoping this could possibly replace Dark Sky but not there, especially for the price

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Innovative and Informative!

*2026-07-26, version 1.9.12*

A perfect weather app. The innovative, beautiful graphics convey a tremendous amount of information easily digestible with a quick look. The numerous widgets are well conceived and nicely designed. Every weather geek should have this app!

### 5/5 — Best wx app ever

*2026-07-08, version 1.9.12*

This thing is spectacular and I literally cannot imagine a better overall weather app for interested people or wx geeks. The information density is so high yet it’s incredibly intuitive and usable. Truly best of breed.

### 5/5 — If you prefer visual representation of information…

*2026-06-09, version 1.9.11*

…my favorite weather app…

### 5/5 — Unique

*2026-06-08, version 1.9.11*

Easily the most enjoyable and unique weather app out there, worth it to support this developer.

### 5/5 — Very Cool!

*2026-05-26, version 1.9.10*

5⭐️

Fully functional in iOS 16! 👏🏻

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2026-05-20, version 1.9.10*

Chance of rainbows!

### 5/5 — Best weather app

*2026-05-08, version 1.9.10*

A weather app that respects you. Gives you lots of data in a thoughtful, beautifully designed way. Love this app. Thanks for making it.

### 5/5 — My favorite weather

*2026-04-15, version 1.9.9*

The most reliable weather app for Apple products. I base my plans on the reports I get from Weather Strip. The extra features such as rainbow and aurora potential are a real treat. Becoming a subscriber isn’t an expense, it’s an investment

### 5/5 — Brilliant. Best weather app!

*2026-04-09, version 1.9.9*

With Weather Strip, it’s so easy to understand what the weather forecast includes at a quick glance.

### 5/5 — Love this for solar energy prediction, and the widget is especially useful.

*2026-03-24, version 1.9.9*

As a solar panel user I need to know if it’s going to be cloudy tomorrow, so I can charge my batteries overnight and save money. This app very clearly shows the cloud cover for tomorrow so it makes it easy to assess how much to charge my batteries. It’s also very useful that this app has a widget which can show at a glance what’s coming. Very impressed.
