I have been using it for years now. It is a great pity that, though expensive, the authors no longer respond to tech enquiries. As of the latest version, there are outstanding issues, so we just have to wait and hope. ### 3/5 — Bonne appli mais upgrade trop cher! *2022-01-03* L’appli donne toute satisfaction même si l’ergonomie n’est pas toujours intuitive. La puissance de l’appli donne envie de prendre la version Weather4D Routage & Navigation mais… l’upgrade (bundle 17€) pour la version Weather4D Routage & Navigation est impossible à activer ! Il faut donc payer toute l’application à 55€… Cela fait cher quand on a déjà acquitté les 38€ de la version Routage. ### 2/5 — Made a mistake upgrading *2018-07-02, version 2.0.40* Hello folks I updated my Routing version, cannot access waves anymore. Need to provide user and register an account. When I try to register or create an account, it always say "invalid account". Tried to get one valid account from support and their responses does not work... ### 2/5 — What gives *2018-06-17, version 2.0.40* I just upgraded and now using the new version. I'm only able to access one weather model, GFS only. One only, many of these models are free - elsewhere and were free on my previous version of this app. This sucks. Money grab? Shame on you! ### 4/5 — Cautiously optimistic *2018-04-14, version 2.0.39* Update: While the new app is not intuitive and lacks the useful, exportable grib files via email, the responsiveness and helpfulness of customer service from Frederic to solve problems and assist in learning this new software is EXEMPLARY. We are hopeful that once we learn the new functionality of Weather 4D we will like it as much as we did Weather 4D Pro (the older version) ### 4/5 — Schönes Programm *2018-03-28* Es tut es es soll und die Benutzeroberfläche ist ansehnlich. Le problème d'exportation de route venait en fait de l'application isailor. Merci à l'équipe de w4d de m'avoir répondu rapidement. Der Kauf kann nicht rückabgewickelt werden!? ### 5/5 — Gorgeous... *2013-10-16, version 1.3.7* Weathertrack just got some competition! Weather 4D pro is lovely to use. It's amazing to watch the animated displays and the customisable options means you can display the weather just as you want to and watch it move across the screen in a way which makes it very easy to understand. Suggestions for improvement include - let the app remember the clock speed, so if I set the rate to 0.25, it remembers that value next time. Also, when loading a 'zone' it should default to todays date and time on startup. Finally, the display is somehow dark quite often. Compared to other weather apps I always feel like I need to turn up the brightness. Perhaps some brighter, bolder colours? Generally, though, I've never been able to visualise the weather so well as with this wonderful software, which has now become my favourite weather app. ### 5/5 — Weather powerhouse *2013-10-11, version 1.3.7* The most powerful weather app out there. I have tried most of the better weather apps on the App Store and none of them come close to matching W4D Pro. The routing feature for sailors is excellent (although it needs some documentation and refinement). If you're not a sailor, get the standard version. Recommendations to the developer: it needs to have a basic route editor within the app rather than relying on imported routes only. I would like to see a much wider choice of polars to chose from, and possibly an in-app polar editor. The app needs better documentation. Finally, a refresh to the top bar, replacing the low res buttons with high res, iOS 7 like appearance. Awesome app, worth every cent. Impossible d’accéder à l’application, comment faire ? ### 1/5 — Frustrating! *2018-05-07, version 2.0.39* I've used weather4d for a couple of years and appreciated its interface and detail. However, the app was recently updated and is now virtually un-useable. Within minutes of switching on the tool bar changes so that it shows the time of the forecast but not the date and the option of creating new weather charts just disappears. I've deleted and re-loaded the app several times - the same happens, works for a few minutes and then lose date and options part of tool bar. ### 1/5 — Nouvelle version horrible *2018-04-29, version 2.0.39* Alors que Weather4D pro était sans contredit la meilleure appli météo, la nouvelle version est incompréhensible, rien á faire, image qui défile sans la date, touche retour qui ne fonctionne pas. Svp revoir. Having sent them money via the App store, this isn't right ### 1/5 — No support! *2014-11-04, version 1.4.2* I;’ve been trying to write the developer on their website but their stupid CAPCHA system is so hard to read (3 friends tried too!) that I have to leave my support request here in the hope he will answer: ======= I bought your program and have used it since v1. Since I upgraded to IOS 8.1 I get a message now about having to pay you $33 for a HD weather forecast or else the program stops working. It[’s useless now unless I pay you an additional $33. I just need the basic weather not any HD stuff. I already paid your $30+ for the program. Can you look into this for me? Rebooted my iPad but same. Corrected fault by switching downloads via mobile data ON. No further problems so far. Great app well done... ### 5/5 — Excellent *2018-08-19* Appli extrêmement complète pour naviguer au quotidien, avec météo (plusieurs modèles au choix) et routage de qualité. Pour la prise en main, il est indispensable de suivre le tutoriel complet réalisé par Francis Fustier, mais ensuite, l'appli devient facile d'utilisation. Does a beautiful job of requesting compressed grabs over the sat connection and displays the data in a most useful and also beautiful format. Being able to plan out the best route days in advance given wind conditions and avoid choppy waters has come in handy on many occasions.
