### 2/5 — very disappointed

*2026-02-22*

app loads very slow. data constantly missing or not showing up. radar is constantly not available. very few instructions are available For the high annual fee , all be
of the above should be working

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback and I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Many improvements over the past two months have been made around performance. Additionally, missing radar data has been fixed. Lastly, in an update being released over the next few days, I’ve worked on creating a help guide (located in Settings tab) that outlines how to use various features of the app. I will continue adding tips and help content to make the app easier to understand and use. Your feedback matters and is exactly what i need from users, especially since this is a one-person company. I hope you give WeatherAI another chance in the future! - Tim

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the positive feedback!

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2025-05-18*

Love the app. Better design than the default Apple weather app. Love how it has customization for the radar colours. Love that you can see recent earthquakes. The only thing I wish it had was widgets. Still give it 5 stars even if there are no widgets. Love supporting a indie developer.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind review! Widgets are something I’ve been thinking about implementing, so I’ll get started and you’ll see them soon :)

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.08.4 — 2026-08-14

This update rebuilds the wildfire maps, makes every list in the app read the same way, and lets you share any chart as an image.

Redesigned Wildfire Maps (U.S.)
• Markers are sized by acreage and colored by status, so a spot fire and a megafire no longer look alike
• Perimeters are drawn by activity: ground that has already burned is hatched, and active edges stand out
• Larger fires carry their name and acreage right on the map
• A tray lists every incident currently in view, tap one to jump to it
• A new minimum size filter hides small incidents on the map, and the incident list still shows everything

Consistent Lists Everywhere
• Weather alerts from Canada, the UK, and Europe now show severity and timing, which only U.S. alerts did before
• Severity levels now carry a distinct icon shape, so they read without relying on color
• Earthquakes, fires, METARs, tides, buoys, rivers, storm reports, volcanoes, and tsunamis all read the same way
• Empty screens now explain what is missing instead of showing a generic icon

Clearer, Shareable Charts
• Long press a chart, or use the share button, to send it to the share sheet as an image
• Scrubbed values now appear in the chart header instead of a tooltip covering the title and legend
• Axis labels and legends carry their units, at a precision that fits the data
• Reference lines like Now and Midnight are easier to tell apart from the data
• A smoother, more readable wind direction chart

Tropical Improvements
• Wind Speed Probability now uses the National Hurricane Center's own color scale, with all ten bands in the legend instead of four
• Areas below a 5% chance are no longer shaded, matching how the Hurricane Center draws them
• Storm wind speeds now match the published advisory numbers exactly

Siri and Shortcuts
• Siri now recognizes "Weather AI", so spoken phrases match far more reliably
• "Show radar for" a place now centers the radar map on it, even from a cold launch
• Asking a question without a subscription now gets a spoken explanation instead of an error

A Livelier Sky
• Rain, snow, and hail are much denser and fall more naturally
• Clouds have more depth and detail
• The moon's phase and tilt now match where you are standing

Everywhere Else
• Location, METAR station, radar site, and volcano lists now use the standard iOS search field
• Every embedded map now opens a larger version the same way, from alerts to fires to earthquakes
• The AI summary card shows a placeholder while it loads, and offers Try Again if it fails
• Small icon buttons are easier to tap, with more VoiceOver labels across rows and charts
• New Help and FAQ answers, plus a section on customizing the app
• Fixed an air quality dial that showed a category milder than the reading
• Fixed pull to refresh spinning forever, or reporting success when the refresh had failed
• Fixed landing on the wrong screen when Earthquakes or METARs is your default tab

### 2026.07.2 — 2026-07-31

This update follows tropical storms much more closely, brings your chosen weather source to your widgets, and rebuilds the sky on the home screen.

Tropical Storm Notifications
• Storm News: new storms forming and intensity changes across the Atlantic and Pacific basins
• Local Threat: an alert when your location enters a storm's forecast cone
• Turn either one on in Settings under Notification Settings

New Tropical Layers on Radar
• Wind Speed Probability: your chance of tropical-storm-force winds, tappable for the exact number
• Arrival Time: when those winds are most likely to reach each area, labeled along the map

Widgets Follow Your Weather Source
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets now use the weather source you picked in Settings, instead of always using Apple Weather
• Your widget and your home screen finally agree on the forecast
• More reliable location handling and refreshes, with fewer stale or blank widgets

More Tropical Storm Detail
• Tap a forecast point for maximum sustained wind, gusts, central pressure, Saffir-Simpson category, heading, and lead time
• Storm markers are colored by category, so a storm reads the same on the map and in the list
• Advisories, cyclone updates, and forecast discussions are formatted into readable sections instead of one wall of text

A Deeper Home Screen Sky
• The sun is drawn with true light falloff instead of a flat disc, and the moon shows its current phase
• Clouds sit in near and far layers sized to the actual cloud cover, drifting at the real wind speed and in the real wind direction
• The sky now extends behind the status bar and into the refresh pull-down area

Radar Legend and Map Panels
• Choose where the radar legend sits: floating over the map, or docked with the playback controls
• The docked legend shows its scale values without needing to press and drag
• Keeping it off the map also means your finger no longer interrupts a two-finger zoom
• Radar panels, legends, and the map inspector now follow light and dark mode instead of always being dark

Everywhere Else
• VoiceOver improvements across charts, alert lists, forecast rows, and widgets
• Tropical and fire data refreshes more frequently
• WeatherAI Forecast accuracy has been improved, with more enhancements on the way
• Fixed a rare issue where some time zones could keep notifications from being sent
