Sometimes “live” current weather reports are incorrect because they are professional stations dozens of miles from home. I cannot get local weather stations set up by the community; the app won’t include them. The app layout is useful. The app uses more data than it should, but it’s still less than other weather apps. But if you’re getting the app just for the widget, it will always be wrong. ### 2/5 — Radar stopped working *2026-07-11, version 5.118.0* This has been my go-to weather app for years. Suddenly the radar stopped working. I tried deleting then reinstalling the app, but it still does not work all. My non-elite version of WeatherBug still has a functional radar, but not the elite version. Time to find a new weather app. ### 4/5 — Other areas covered *2026-06-18, version 5.118.0* I can also keep track of Son’s ab grandkids’ weather issues in Detroit area along with my local weather here in Edison NJ - not to mention most/all relatives’ (PA, etc.) weather. The future forecasts are pulled from commercial sources, so they’re usually accurate. Sometimes “live” current weather reports are incorrect because they are classroom observations on a hot roof or in a closet, but most observations are accurate. The app layout is useful. The app uses more data than it should, but it’s still less than other weather apps. But if you’re getting the app just for the widget, it will always be wrong. ### 2/5 — Lagged data! *2026-06-02, version 5.118.0* I’ve had this for about a decade. At least. And lately there is a significant delay in the radar and lightning. This is the main reason to have this app. When outdoors hiking, it’s imperative that the lightning and radar are in real time (or very close). The access to these views are all on the Home Screen. I purchased the WeatherBug Elite upgrade 10 years ago and have not come across a better app than WB Elite. If you want to know if it’s raining, you’re better off looking out the window. There’s a long delay in the radar. I’m listening to a torrential downpour of rain hit my home. The gutters are overflowing it’s raining so hard. But according to the radar it’s not raining at my location at all. Do not depend on this app giving you accurate information. I’ve used this app for years. So disappointed in what it’s become. ### 1/5 — NO RADAR *2026-04-02, version 5.118.0* So the Elite app radar doesn’t work and has been having issues for a while. Please do better. ### 1/5 — Down hill *2026-01-29, version 5.118.0* I have used Weather Bug Elite for many moons but the app seems to be languishing and falling behind others. A big benefit has always been the ability to create an account and sync saved locations across multiple devices like iPhone & iPad. With the latest iOS 26 and iPhone 17, the login process is broken. It doesn’t work and locations will not save. I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I then noticed that the same problem was duplicated with updated iOS on my iPad. You clearly know about some of these bugs based on other reviews but haven’t updated in weeks. I have had to stop using this app in favor of Apple Weather and AccuWeather. I won’t try your app again until you update the app and fix all the bugs you have especially with logins. The biggest snow storm of 2026 not even close with forecast. Deleting was LONG TIME SUPPORTER ### 1/5 — Used to be the best *2026-01-14, version 5.118.0* *** EDIT: We’re now on iOS 26 and watch complications still don’t work, even those it’s advertised as supporting apple watch. *** New iOS 17 came out over a week ago not to mention public test at least a month earlier and still the app is broke. I tweeted the WeatherBug account who told me to email support. Canned response and still the widgets don’t work. The weather data seems to be getting worse and worse as well. I’ve used elite for years and years but I’m going to have to find a new app because it’s just so bad now. ### 1/5 — they don't care it seems *2025-12-28, version 5.116.1* dec 2026. Don't get invested in these guys they don't care anymore. they aren't fixing bugs in the app such as restoring the ability to remove locations. also refused to take good advice and make historcal temperature data available so that traveling users can go back 18 or 24 hours and see if temps have been going upward or downward in their area. This app for sometime no longer displays wind gusts. It displays wind speed only. Winds are a very important part of displaying weather information accurately. For this reason this app is useless. I contacted the developers more than two years ago and they said he fixed was coming.
