Upon re-opening app it doesn’t let me re-join meeting, and makes me pay the reader for the full session despite not completing the entirety of it. Please fix. ### 3/5 — Inconsistent notifications for readers *2024-03-27, version 2.1.1* Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don’t. Same goes for email and sms notifications. It’s really a problem, everything else is fine. ### 3/5 — Can’t access tapes *2023-07-24* There is a current issue which renders self taping with the app useless. It’s been incredibly convenient to book a reader at a moments notice. And its also been a lot of fun assisting other actors with their auditions (as a reader/coach). Most have been amazing humans, however, a couple have taken advantage of the system (and ME) and did not pay for the session. I have emailed support several times… ZERO response. Which is very disappointing. Clearly they are making money off of this concept. Investing some of it in I customer support would be great! ### 4/5 — Phone recording issue? *2023-03-11, version 1.18.1* Love the app but have been experiencing issues with recording my sessions using my phone. I don’t have a laptop so I have to use my phone for self tapes. The past 3 sessions on the phone I’ve been unable to record - I just get error messages. I thought I was signing up for a community of actors who take pleasure in sharing and reading for other people for free and get to have readers for free in return. I came across zero free readers. ### 2/5 — Bugs bugs bugs *2022-08-18, version 1.12* Hey there! Love the app BUT I’m getting some major bugs 1. I can’t upload scripts from my iPhone 2. Videos will just disappear from time to time and It’s causing real issues. Please fix! Thanks ### 2/5 — Wonderful concept but lots of awful bugs and glitches *2022-08-14, version 1.12* I love the idea of this app and it’s come in handy so many times as a working actor. But there are SO many glitches that sometimes makes my tapes unusable, which often means I have to pay my reader AGAIN to reshoot or has even sometimes meant that I couldn’t submit my self-tapes in time. For example, when I record my self-tape on the app, if I get a notification on my phone or if my reader refreshes their screen, it messes up the reader’s audio timing and it ends up playing with an extremely un-synced lag in the recorded video (but not during the session, so neither of us can tell that it’s ruined). My reader’s audio would play 10 or more seconds ahead or behind my own, sometimes even becoming a double-track that plays on top of itself. This makes the self-tape completely unusable as we end up talking over each other and the scene doesn’t make any sense at all. Other bugs/glitches: if I try to preview the recording before the session ends (usually to check to see if the above glitch happens), the app crashes. My readers often say there’s an echo on my end, which I’ve learned has to be fixed by plugging in and then removing my earphones. If I forget to stop the recording when the call ends, it doesn’t save at all. Sometimes I send a request to a reader (who I’ve worked with before so I have their contact info) and they say they don’t see my request at all. These glitches make it really difficult to use this app for me. At this point the only reason I’m staying is because I’ve built good professional relationships with my readers and I really like the work they do. I just have to say a prayer every time I try to record, because it often doesn’t work. ### 2/5 — Like the concept needs improvement *2021-12-18, version 1.03* Love WeAudition and have been using the website for years. But now that the app is more convenient, I’ve had a ton of connection and sound issues. I’ve asked readers to schedule and record off the app because FaceTime or zoom works better — and multiple instances where my reader could hear their own voice echo, which doesn’t both me but I want them to feel connected. Conceptually great but looking forward to more bugs fixes. ### 5/5 — WeAudition Hits it out the ballpark! *2021-10-29, version 1.0* WeAudition is a standout resource for the global acting community that has revolutionized the audition process, whether you are seeking a rehearsal partner or a reader for your self tape audition, and offers actors the opportunity to monetize their skills. This mobile app deserves more than five stars, it commands an innovation gold medal. This is an invaluable tool for actors created by actors. I am standing and applauding you. It should be as easy to unsubscribe as subscribe. The teleprompter portion of this app is very poorly made as well. Zoom screen share is 1000x better. Still figuring out how to cancel tho! ### 1/5 — Audio and Video Don’t Match Up *2024-12-11, version 2.4.0* Please fix that, otherwise it’s kind of useless. ### 1/5 — Can’t Log in *2023-12-29, version 2.1.0* I can’t log in on any device. When I subscribed I was logged in on my iPhone, and support told me to log out of all devices, and reset my password. After resetting my password multiple times, I am unable to log on with any device. What a waste of $10. ### 1/5 — Poor Imterface *2023-11-03, version 2.1.0* The app didn’t save any of my recordings so now I have to self-tape all over again. Also, I was unable to see my reader on camera: ### 1/5 — Glitchy app, nonexistent customer service *2023-03-14, version 1.18.1* DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS. All my devices are up to date and I’m still experiencing bugs on the most basic things like not even being able to upload my headshot. Contacted customer service twice and no response. ### 1/5 — Won’t upload photos *2022-08-16, version 1.12* I downloaded this then quickly canceled my subscription after a few attempts to just edit my new profile and upload my headshots. Wouldn’t even upload them. If it’s gonna cause issues from the moment I subscribe then I don’t need to pay money for it. Forget it. ### 1/5 — Useless. *2022-03-12, version 1.08* Constant audio issues. And I’m not the only one experiencing it. Write to them about it and they never addressed it. Nothing like recording an audition and hearing loud screeching noises behind your voice due to the app. ### 1/5 — Is this a joke? *2021-11-27, version 1.01* This app is horrendous. Consider going through some QA testing before the big release. Tons of bugs; shuts down constantly, video and audio are poop, the list goes on. **Developer response:** Sorry you feel this way... we've worked hard on this and gone through numerous QA testing, however, we are continually releasing updates and bug fixes. The quality of audio and video though is dependent on many factors outside our control including the device, iOS version and internet. That said, we appreciate your feedback and will work on improving it. ### 2/5 — Looking for Reader NOT Coaches *2025-06-04, version 2.7.0* My only complaint is too many readers assume we’re seeking coaches. When I sign up, I’ve already made my choices and I just need a reader to do myself today. I wish that there was more of a disclaimer for our readers not to offer coaching or feedback unless we ask for it so we could use our time effectively. ### 2/5 — Could Use Improvments *2025-05-20, version 2.7.0* I am not sure if I would rate this as a good app or not. Someone is available to help you at all times if you need to rehearse self tape or just need a little coaching. My go to app for all my auditions. I love We Audition ! Also an excellent way for actors to help other actors. It's so easy to use, so convenient, and a great way to make some extra money if you want to be a reader. My wife hates doing auditions with me, so I can easily jump on WA and find someone who is passionate and super helpful. I don’t mind paying the annual subscription and then compensating great readers for their help. As an actor I fully appreciate and understand the actor journey. This is an awesome community where I know I can go to find reliable readers whether for an audition taping or just rehearsal. Also it’s stellar on the road!!!
