## What is Web Clips?

You deploy web clips on your students' iPads using your MDM solution because you need them in the daily life of your school. You do not allow students to install their personal apps on MDM-enrolled iPads, or you do not allow the use of these apps during school hours.

But students found a workaround? They create their own web clips from Safari and have "just like the real app" on their iPad.

The solution could be to block web clips from your MDM solution. But the problem is that it also blocks the useful web clips deployed by the school.

The Web Clips app is the solution! You can permanently ban web clips and still distribute your web links through a single app.

Web Clips gives students and staff access to the school's web resources in one place. No ads, no distractions: just the sites you need, accessible in one tap.

**TWO OPERATING MODES**

Web Clips automatically adapts to your context:

**Managed mode (MDM)**: as soon as a configuration profile is detected on the device, the app switches to read-only mode. Content is entirely controlled by the administrator — users cannot modify anything. Ideal for school-managed iPad fleets.

**Free mode**: without MDM configuration, each user can manage their own list of links — add, edit, reorder and delete their web shortcuts. Perfect for personal use, outside the managed school context.

**DESIGNED FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS**

Administrators deploy and update the list of web resources remotely via an MDM configuration profile. The app is operational as soon as the profile is installed on the device.
