## What is Web Inspector?

Web Inspector expands Safari on iPhone and iPad with a set of web development tools:

Elements: Browse the DOM tree and tap elements on the page to inspect them. View node details, styles, and computed values. Search the DOM, edit an element's HTML, and copy or delete nodes.

Console: Type JavaScript commands to debug, modify, and get information about your webpage.

Sources: Read the webpage's source with syntax highlighting.

Network: See a list of network requests made by the webpage, with headers and responses. Filter requests, or copy one as a cURL command.

Resources: Find details about the data stored by a webpage, such as cookies, local storage, and session storage.

### 3/5 — Issue, when clicking on element

*2026-08-01*

When clicking on an element on the page using the inspect element cursor, the actual web inspector inspector flashes on an off page. Unable to continue using it unless you reload. Cursor doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-07-14, version 1.2.7*

Useless. Reset after 2 seconds

### 4/5 — Works on iOS 26 but I can't use it on iOS 9 like the photo shown

### 2/5 — Good, but could be better. Doesn't work on Youtube.

*2026-06-25*

A much needed web inspector for iOS Safari. There are three issues that can be improved though:
1. Sometimes the web inspector just doesn't open. One review said that it's because the tab crashed, but I find that sometimes if I leave a tab open for too long the inspector also doesn't open.
2. No horizontal scrolling in the DOM viewer means that once you're 15 nested elements deep, the code gets squished to the right third of the screen with about 10 characters per line. Once you get to 20 nested elements you can't even see the code because it's offscreen. A weird oversight to have for such a useful plugin.
3. Doesn't work on Youtube.

### 3/5 — Counterintuitive

*2026-06-20, version 1.2.7*

Can’t close the extension after opening it, useless.

### 3/5 — Leider

*2026-05-10*

mittlerweile ohne Funktion.

### 1/5 — Poor app build

*2026-05-08, version 1.2.7*

Can open inspect menu but cannot exit or hide the inspect menu upon opening it therefore making it completely useless
