What's New in Web of Medicine

1.0.2

August 13, 2026

New specialties Eleven surgical sub-specialties and Medical Physics now have feeds of their own, taking the total from 48 to 59. Ranking that knows your field Each specialty is now ranked by a clinician persona for that field, so a paper has to be relevant to how you actually practise, not just match a keyword. Case reports no longer lead the day, and evidence level counts for more than a score. Faster sign-in Signing in with Google now uses the native iOS sheet instead of handing you off to a browser. Fixes Confirmation and password reset emails now open properly when you read them on a laptop. Sign-up catches a mistyped email domain before the account is created. The journal picker no longer comes up blank for some specialties. Notification settings now say exactly what stops when you turn a switch off. The article of the day no longer repeats a question you have already seen.

User reviews

The best medical app ever

As an oncologist I could not have asked for anything better than ‘Web of Medicine’ , this is the best a medical update app can be !!

An outstanding app for evidence-based clinical practice and academic learning.

The interface is intuitive, the information is reliable, and the medical calculators are incredibly useful for day-to-day decision-making. One of its biggest strengths is how quickly it incorporates new research, making the latest evidence readily accessible across most specialties. It also significantly speeds up literature reviews, making it an invaluable academic resource for medical students, residents, researchers, and senior faculty alike. A truly indispensable tool for modern, evidence-based medicine. Highly recommended!
