## What is Web Subscriber?

You don't have to check your favorite websites one by one!
Web Subscriber is a web-feed reader that lets you subscribe to many websites and blogs in one place.

Web Subscriber shows you all articles of websites you subscribe to as a unified reading list. You can also organize your subscriptions by tagging them.

If you start having lots of subscriptions, Web Subscriber helps you by providing smart and interesting streams of articles:

- 'Slow Feeds' singles out your low-volume subscriptions, so they don't drown in the noise of high-frequency news sites.
- 'Hot Links' shows you what gets linked to from multiple articles to help you find what's important.
- 'Images' lets you leisurely browse your reading list like a photo album of article images. See if something piques your interest!
- 'Micro-Blogposts' Tweet-like untitled posts with max. 280 characters.

Web Subscriber supports any website or blog offering a web-feed in the RSS, Atom or JSONFeed format.

## Key features

- Unified reading list
- Organize subscriptions by tags
- Slow Feeds for low-volume content
- Hot Links for trending topics
- Image browsing mode
- Micro-Blogposts view

## Pricing and in-app purchases

Base price: Free.

**One-time purchases**

### 4/5 — Wish it had a dark color scheme option

*2024-08-08*

I tried the developer's other RSS app (Slow Feeds) but it wasn't the same. I think the interface is excellent.

### 4/5 — Good but...

*2023-02-06, version 5.1.2*

This is good, but... the contrast between read and unread is too little: dark grey and a slightly less dark grey. And I prefer to read the system font. Customisation options would solve both of these.

I also expected to see an option to display the images alongside the titles in the article list. This is the deal breaker missing feature for me.

### 1/5 — Seems app is dropped

*2020-09-07, version 5.1.2*

Simple doesn’t work

### 2/5 — needs work

*2019-10-08, version 5.1.2*

No way to set reader mode, no night mode, many sites do not update after being read.

Very limited options and settings.

There seems to be no way of reaching the developer. The money i spent on the full version was wasted.

### 5/5 — Good alternative of Reeder 3

*2018-06-03, version 5.1.2*

The latest version improves sync speed a lot, and Slow feeds is a bery helpful feature for ppl subscribed large number of feeds.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2018-05-21, version 5.1*

It does what it says on the can. It works really well, disregard bad reviews.

### 4/5 — Awesome concept, just needs a dark theme and “Mark All as Read”

*2018-02-20, version 4.6.4*

All feed readers should incorporate this core concept, i.e., offer an “Infrequently Updated” feed view. I have been manually creating something of the sort by simply marking high volume feeds as read in Reeder without even reading them so I could be left with a “Slow Feeds”-like view. The only thing this app needs is a dark theme and a “Mark All as Read” function to be perfect.

### 5/5 — Fantastic and underrated

*2017-11-08, version 4.6.4*

This is an awesome RSS reader and even more so with the timely update for the X. I subscribe to mountain of RSS feeds so lots of interesting articles can get lost in the torrent. This helps to bring up the slowly updated feeds.

Been using it for years and glad that the developer remains actively updating it!

### 5/5 — My Favourite RSS Reader

*2016-05-05, version 4.6*

I love the concept. I love the font. The app is quite nice.

### 1/5 — Weak

*2015-11-27, version 4.5.1*

I bought this app because it was supposed to support FeedWrangler. It does not. Any catégories created in FW is lost.

It has one nice feature : all the slow feeds are put together. Unfortunetly, it does not perform well.

It also crashes on a regular base.

Looking for an alternative.

### 5.0 — 2018-04-01

EVERYTHING is new in this version!

Yes, 'Web Subscriber' is the app formerly known as 'Slow Feeds'. Slow Feeds are still there (with an adjustable threshold even) - and so are Hot Links and Images, all part of the 'Discover' section.

Instead of High Volume feeds, you now get 'All Articles' and - completely new - you get to tag and browse your feeds manually as you like as well.
That's a lot! But is it too much? Don't worry: Instead of 'Zen Mode' you can now completely customize the sections you want to use if you want to reduce noise. You can even use single tags as top-level navigation section.

Other new goodies:
- More list view options, everywhere (read/unread, with/without excerpt, reverse sorting)
- Use Web Subscriber without 3rd party feed reader service

### 4.6.4 — 2017-11-06

Layout Fixes for iPhone X
