I tried sending USDT tonight (about $1000 worth) from KuCoin to my proton wallet and it never showed but was listed on etherscan as complete. Come to find out they were holding my funds! I had to go through an ID verification which I completed. But since I’m a NY resident & was honest with them they rejected my verification! Then instead of sending my tether back to the original address the representative told me they needed to review my case which might take months!! What!? Unbelievable. Never had a problem with a crypto wallet like this. They could have just converted the funds to BRC or returned the USDT to the original address. Nope. Customer service is available and usually they get back to you right away and you don’t need to talk to a stupid AI bot. That’s the good - What needs to be improved: Lacks a lot of cryptos that should be on there. No way to permanently delete an account once it was uploaded. No implementation with any tax software and that’s major. No direct downloadable file for all transactions. Would be great if I could decide what cryptos I can put into my wallet and which ones not.
