Being able to use 1080p is great - especially as other apps require a subscription to do so. Choose your camera, choose your resolution and go. And for free? You could not ask for anything more. If future updates were able to incorporate 4K, portrait mode, light/image adjustments that would be amazing but given the price that other apps with those features charge, this is by far the best app to use. Most don’t work. The others charge you a subscription so high that you could buy one webcam a month. This app does almost everything and is free! Blows my mind. What’s missing? 4K video and toggling the flash/strobe...but hey you didn’t need that. You just needed a 1080p webcam. This is the app for it! On top of that, the configurability was perfectly aligned with what I needed giving me access to all my iPhone cameras and features. With all that being said, I really wish I could have used this. The issue was that when previewing on the app I could view myself and whatever my camera was pointing at but the apps I was using like PhotoBooth were not displaying anything-just a blacked out window. This is also after I saw and switched over to the camera option for this app. Definitely strange, because I know the data was being transmitted through my usb cable via the preview. Something just seems to be off with the interfacing and compatibility between this app and the apps on my MacBook. Any suggestions are welcome and I do really like this app compared to the others I’ve used . I would buy a Pro version if you add manual camera controls like Focus, Exposure, Aperture and Digital Zoom. It is currently July 2025 and this works absolutely brilliantly using an iPhone as a 4K input stream for OBS video. Ignore the other review, I’ve proved it does work very well indeed just set it all up and then point OBS to Webcam Plus and it will see it as a 4K video.
