There are a few charts I like to look at to see what the chance of observing the aurora borealis is and these charts are published to the web as JPEG images. I simply paste the URL of these images into his app and I can track them on my Home Screen, that way I never miss an opportunity to photograph the aurora borealis. Its also great for weather data (some wind charts published by NWS), water level data in the river near my house (some charts published the USGS), satellite images and even webcam images. ### 5/5 — Just what I needed *2025-02-18* I’m keeping an eye out for the northern lights at a place where I am going to in a couple of weeks and I am using this to display the YouTube thumbnail of a live stream. Please please can you add another optional metadata so I can add the full YouTube link and then when I tap on the image it could open the YouTube app? I also use it to track space weather data. I enjoy putting a few tiles of live camera feeds that the app refreshes with an image every so often. It gives most of the same functionality but via Home Screen widget instead of dashboard widget. I’m fairly certain that it would work in 17.2 as well but I’ve noticed inconsistently that sometimes a reboot is required after initial installation of an app with a new widget. I’ve seen that behavior with more sophisticated apps than mine as well. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 4/5 — Very Usefull *2026-01-24* I think it's a shame that you can't use the in-app purchase as part of family sharing. So each family member has to buy separately, which then becomes very expensive. **Developer response:** I appreciate your feedback and rating. I decided to keep the app individual rathe than family sharable because the purchase buys the app for life. There will never be ads/subscriptions etc so I hope that keeps it affordable beyond the initial cost. I like the default satellite map, but I’ve also included several cameras around town so I can see traffic conditions, weather conditions in the harbor and other things. The trick is to find the right camera URL but email the developer and he will help.
