### 2/5 — C-

*2026-06-30, version 8.3.1*

Webroot used to be A++. I don’t know what happened over the last decade. Anyways. This app is useless. The free “trial” will just waste an hour of your time and not even provide a single example. It’s also way overpriced, whereas Webroot used to be affordable. I will be canceling and deleting this app. The free trial does nothing to indicate it’s worth the money. If anything, the price seems to have gone up while the security and quality has gone down.

### 4/5 — Apple issues perhaps

*2026-02-18, version 8.2*

Tim Cook sold schematics in past to FBI. Nowadays all are codes converted to public then several corrupted files and codes started to pour into. None of any anti virus or mobile security will remove anything from Apple due to apple's policy from Steve Jobs era which is not applicable to today's Apple devices but again Tim Cook is most idiot leader at this company but thanks for his investment is all why.

### 3/5 — Not sure yet

*2025-11-24, version 8.2*

I downloaded Webroot on my phone from the App Store, but I cannot locate the product key code Required to create a new account. Not helpful. Chat sent me to Geek, but I didn't buy this from Best Buy. Not helpful at all.

### 1/5 — Won’t open

*2024-12-20, version 7.5*

Have downloaded latest version. Click open. Sort of pretends like it’s starting, then back to the icon. Nothing.

Shame bc their pc version is great.

### 3/5 — Finally learned what the problem is

*2024-12-12*

The last review I made about the Webroot app was about how it’s scan misreads iOS/iPadOS versions when it has three numbers. It seemed that way while I was using iOS/iPadOS version 18.1.1, but now I know I was wrong. I installed iOS/iPadOS 18.2 today and it still told me to update to iOS/iPadOS version 8.1. The current version of Webroot can’t see any iOS/iPadOS versions released after 18.1 as newer systems and it always gives a notice saying you still need to update it to 18.1 even though it’s outdated software.

### 3/5 — Safari Extension Greyed Out

*2024-12-05, version 7.5*

On iOS 18.1.1 the safari browser extension appears to be disabled/greyed out in the off state. No option to enable it. Please fix

### 2/5 — Can’t even get logged in

*2024-11-22, version 7.5*

I can’t even login in because I can’t get passed the subscription terms, there is no agree button to click.

### 3/5 — Problem after iOS and iPadOS 18.1.1 releases

*2024-11-21*

After I updated my iPhone and my iPad to iOS and iPadOS version 18.1.1, the results of the scan says to update to 18.1 and it’s an older version now. Right now, it seems to me that Webroot misreads iOS and iPadOS versions when there’s three numbers. Can you fix this problem and make it so that this doesn’t happen again when any future iOS and iPadOS updates are released?

### 3/5 — Can’t renew Webroot mobile security on iOS devices

*2024-11-06, version 7.5*

I renewed our subscription and I cannot renew it on my husband’s devices , when I click on the go button to renew it on the mobile security, a pop-up message says authorization request does not include a URL.

### 1/5 — Surprisingly bad from a first sight

*2024-09-26, version 7.5*

Well. I received an app code as a gift from BestBuy. After installation on the security checkup screen I get info that my iOS (18) is not latest and latest version is 17.x.y.
TBH I have some doubts that guys who are not able to compare software versions correctly are able to write something worthy.

### 1/5 — Nothing works with your account

*2024-08-28, version 7.4*

I got a message that says my webroot account expired. Something is so screwed up in my account ever since the changed their website. My account doesn’t even go to my email address. I had to contact support but they sent a link to connect but still could never access my account. On my computer that’s connected to my same account says I have 661 days left in my subscription. I have never had such crappy problem and their IT people don’t even fix the problem. So now I put my code in and comes back as an error! I don’t Recommend Webroot anymore because you can’t even get ahold of support because that also gives an error.

### 1/5 — It was included

*2024-08-02, version 7.4*

This product was included when I purchased their AV software for a family members PC. So I decided to give it a try, I guess I am supposed to have this warm, fuzzy feeling inside knowing that they’re protecting me from the outside world however I feel this product is nothing more than a security blank that my kids cares around to make him feel safe and secure. I have worked in network and cyber security for several decades and find this product for anyone who is semi conscious in the security realm of life. This product offers no meaningful value and I will be deleting it. Please note this is not a slam against their computer AV anti virus product.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-07-23, version 7.4*

Keeps requiring login. Can’t do anything once logged in.

### 1/5 — ？？？

*2024-05-28*

### 1/5 — Can’t login

*2024-05-21, version 7.3.1*

I thought I’d try it and lo and behold I experienced the same issue as many and can’t login. I’m not going to spend any time trying to figure it out, it’s just a big disservice.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2024-05-01*

I purchased a Webroot subscription yesterday and installed it on my computers. Those worked perfectly. However, I bought extra device slots for my iOS devices. I tried to register my license key and email to create a new account through the Webroot app, but the registration window closed and I got a pop-up telling me that the authorization failed because there’s data missing. Then I tried to use my old Webroot account. This account is linked to an old email that I wanted to get rid of, but I couldn’t because this Webroot account is the last thing that’s keeping me from doing so. It gave me the same exact pop-up. (This app was from the Apple App Store) Is this kind of thing happening right now because I live in the US? What data is it talking about and when will the app be fixed?

### 1/5 — What is this for?

*2024-03-31*

Docomo made me pay 550 yen for this app..Iphone has its own system though so I don't think it is a necessity.

### 5/5 — Log in solution

*2024-12-30, version 7.5*

Some reviews were complaining about having issues with logging into Webroot. I figured it out when I asked Webroot for help. The way Webroot accounts work is actually a bit unusual. Webroot actually has separate mobile and desktop accounts that are linked to a single email. All you really have to do to get the mobile app running is to change your mobile account password. You can only do this directly through the mobile app. The desktop website won’t fix the problem. Once I did that, the iOS/iPadOS Webroot app worked. Even after you change the mobile password, the desktop password is still the same since it’s a separate account.

### 5/5 — Webroot is okay

*2024-08-05, version 7.4*

### 5/5 — Request to Webroot

*2023-08-17*

Thanks to corruption that has pretty much destroyed iOS security as a whole, antivirus protection has pretty much become necessary on iOS devices. I believe that Webroot made the right call in creating an antivirus app to address this issue. However I think they should have created a new app for this instead of completely erasing their web browser. Recent reviews show how much people relied on Webroot’s browser. I hope that Webroot sees those reviews and remakes the browser to make things better for those customers. I personally believe that Webroot should have both a web browser app and an antivirus app available separately for customers to use.

**Developer response:** Sammycat2005, thank you for your question. My apologies for the late reply.

1. Do these features include the security filters on search engines, like google, on the safari app just like the old secure web app did? The new Webroot Mobile Security does not provide annotations on search results pages but will stop you from going to a malicious site.

2. Do these features include any type of ad blockers? At this time, we do not have ad blocking capability.

3. Do these features require a Webroot account in order to use these features?
After downloading the new Webroot Mobile Security app you are have all the features that are available.

### 5/5 — Questions

*2020-10-20, version 6.1*

I’ve used Webroot for many years and I’ve always been satisfied with it. I’ve used the old secure web app for iOS specifically for the security filters that are involved with search engines, like google, to see what websites are safe before I go to those sites. For the new Webroot app, since it now has features that are compatible with Safari, I have some questions...

1. Do these features include the security filters on search engines, like google, on the safari app just like the old secure web app did?

2. Do these features include any type of ad blockers?

3. Do these features require a Webroot account in order to use these features?

### 5/5 — Best antivirus, Works on safari, I have used for 15 years

*2020-10-11*

For those of you who didn’t read the instructions, IPhones go to settings, safari, content blocker, turn on Webroot for safari.
For my personal and business high end PC’s, MacBook Pro, and iPhones, 15 years of using Webroot. Never have had a virus, ransomware or hacker on my equipment. Using this app and the WiFi security on my family’s IPhone XR’s. I purchased 3 years of Webroot service because they have always protected my equipment, identity and have exceeded my expectations.
