I use it because it was bundled in a multi-year subscription for webroot antivirus. Very satisfied with Webroot antivirus but this VPN drops connection *consistently*, throughout day, everyday. Regardless of wifi or cell service locations, it’s bad. Different connection times between devices as well. PC can take minutes to establish/re-establish. iPhone/ipad: <5 seconds. But this new WiFi product is very hit and miss, mostly miss. I will avoid for now!! Plus it is impossible to get tech support. I am extremely disappointed and surprised. Two thumbs way down. ### 2/5 — Don’t purchase *2020-05-22* It’s connects.. then doesn’t. It tries to load as you stare at it for 3 plus minutes “spinning” then errors out. I’ve had Webroot for quite some time, but this aspect of their platform is virtually useless. I wish I could return it. Webroot can you issue me a refund? ### 1/5 — Will not stay connected *2020-05-18* Will not stay connected and when trying to reconnect you get an error message saying to try again later. Sometimes this goes on for days. Called support only to be told a tech would call me back. After five days got an email saying we see you logged in and your problem was solved. No it wasn’t and from the reviews I can see I am not the only one with this problem. Try another app. ### 2/5 — Wouldn’t Recommend *2020-05-16* It worked fine until coved19. Now it appears that with the additional people working from home and needing VPN’s, that they have oversold and their networks can’t handle it. When you sign in you wait and wait and wait, then you get an error message stating that there was a log in error, as though it’s your fault. Problem is, it happens over and over again so that you can’t get logged in. What good is a VPN if you can’t get logged into it? I suggest you move on to a different company that will let you get logged on! ### 3/5 — Mostly ok if you mind waiting several minutes. *2020-02-28* I subscribed to this app VPN service for about 18 months and recently cancelled my service. This app works if you have time to wait for failed connections, troubleshooting, and app crashes that cut off internet access. Recently, I’ve started using more two factor authentication (2FA) through my work and personal accounts. When this app crashed (about 4 times per week) it would prevent my 2FA login attempts and cause a lot of frustration. There are many excellent VPN services now and I got tired of troubleshooting connection failures and crashes with this app. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2020-02-23, version 1.0.7* I will be replacing today and write the expense off. 1. Doesn’t stay auto-connected. 2. In middle of logon get pop up that says no internet connection which is wrong. I do without their protection. 3. Get pop up that says they can’t connect to their server. There problem. Not mine. Good luck WR but your too buggy for me and I don’t have time to spend with your developers fixing what should known issues by you based on other feedback. ### 2/5 — I wanted to love this but it is buggy *2019-12-23* It crashes a lot. Tries to restore the connection and then drops it again. If the constant disconnects are not fixed in the next ten months I will move over to another VPN service. They have very poor customer tech support. Why do you security questions like a number code to ask for help? Don’t buy. ### 1/5 — Garbage vpn save your money *2019-12-01, version 1.0.7* I’d give this less stars if I could. Were should we begin! 1.) it took me three months to get access to my purchase for a year because it didn’t register that I bought it even though it took my money. 2.) it only works 50% of the time and when it does work it’s not that fast. 3.) it doesn’t allow you to use any of the streaming services at all. I can’t get it to work with Hulu, Disney +, prime video or any of them. And you can’t even open a ticket on the forum because it requires you to pick a topic but when you pick a topic it takes you to a page that thinks will help you instead of letting you post your own. It would work on some of the laptops but not others, and would work on some of the iPhones but not others. I spent an hour on the helpline with a technician who was very nice and methodical but could not figure out why it would work on all of the iPhones. It is a terrible waste of money and I’ve been told by my IT manager that there are better products out there. So shame on me for believing in the Webroot name and buying it. Also, as an almost comical point, I was told I had to set up two separate accounts because I purchased a total of 10 product subscriptions and they said I could not link them all to the same account. How hard is it to tie the various product codes to a single account??? Hey, maybe I can set up a new account for each one, so I can have lots and lots of usernames and passwords just to manage this product - even though it does not even work as advertised. Webroot should be ashamed. I have used Webroot Anywhere for years and when I saw Webroot Security VPN I bought it. Everything works well. As for support, the Webroot Community and Support works well. The only thing that is annoying is that on the PC version, it asks me to agree to the terms every time. The Apple App version doesn’t. Other than that everything is great at home and everywhere I go. I see this as a “must have” especially to compliment the other Webroot products.
