It has taken me too long to start using. I like all the listed capabilities but it has been hard to use the app. ### 5/5 — IPad version *2020-08-08* Please make this great app available in an iPad version. The iPad version could take advantage of the increased screen space to display more bib numbers. Actually it is available for iPad ! **Developer response:** There is an iPad version of the app - for historical reasons it is a separate app, but has all the same features, and does indeed use the larger screen space to display more bib numbers. Search for Webscorer on the App Store - and install the app called "Race & Lap Timer for iPad". ### 5/5 — Flexible solution *2019-12-17* I time several races per year. With this app results are available for racers almost immediately. If you’re looking to save money from chip-timing your race, this app can scale up to handle 400 racers in a mass start 5k (that’s what we’ve done so far), and more for longer races where the finishers gets more staggered. ### 5/5 — Best mass timing app I've used or seen *2017-04-22, version 2.6.1* I have been a Webscorer user for several iterations now, and the sytem continues to improve. It is not perfect, in that there are odd situations that are not intuiitively addressed, but ther app is solid in functions and reliability, and the suport team is helpful. (A bit faster response time would be nice.) We are next embarking on chip-timing, and I plan on using Webscorer for the forseeable future. ### 5/5 — Nothing like this app *2016-08-23, version 2.3.0* Looked for days to find a simple app to record times for a mile run. Will use this app a lot! ### 5/5 — Excellent app with many options *2015-09-14, version 2.0.0* This app is great. Peebles Cycling Club used Webscorer to time 2 stages of our Under 16s MTB stage race. Really easy to set up races from the tutorials and help files, excellent customer service when I had a query with email answered within 24 hours. We paid for the PRO version which is a bargain at around £40. Thoroughly recommend this app. ### 5/5 — Fantastic customer service! *2015-06-13, version 2.0.0* As you might expect, learning the ins and outs of setting up race registration and timing can be a bit tricky. Fortunately, Webscorer provides a lot of video tutorials that, aside from the dorky music, are very helpful. And, if you need more help, Webscorer email support is terrific. Easy registration tool, great timing features. Ive timed super d and xc mtn bike events, open water swims, gravel grinders and been very happy not to have to print results! Highly recommended. Outstanding support to boot. Low registration fees, integrated registration and timing AND easy series scoring all on an easy to use platform without the hassle of expensive timing systems or outdated software. I've used the PRO version of the app for running, biking, skiing & swimming, it is so easy to use! I especially love viewing/posting live results on the Webscorer website, as well as posting results, photos & commentary of my races on my personal profile...great way to keep an eye on your competitors & network with other racers worldwide. Webscorer blends functionality & smart/intuitive design to meet the needs of racers/spectators in a sporting app that has been far overdue. Thank you! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Did not work on race day *2017-06-11, version 2.7.0* As runners started crossing the finish line I was shocked to discover the app wasn't working. I tapped on the bib numbers and nothing happened. Do not count on this app on race day. ### 3/5 — Good for results - Missing registration *2016-10-15, version 2.4.0* The app should enable in app registration and offer Pay payment option to facilitate transactions for event organizers rather than having them provide their own processor or resort to PayPirates... uh PayPal. ### 4/5 — Needs one update *2023-08-17* Love this timer, however…having the lap button at the top of the screen is awkward and problematic. If the user gets any notifications they pop up on the top as well blocking your ability to hit the timer. The program developer regularly updates the app with improved features and user requests. I’ve used the chip timing integration since the beginning. It is easy to use, less expensive than other systems, and extremely flexible. The QR Code self-timing system was also key for our FLRC Challenge virtual race series that has continued well beyond the pandemic. Finally, Webscorer support is unparalleled—few companies are anywhere near as responsive. ### 5/5 — Great customer service *2023-09-03* I’m new to the race timing world and Vesa at Webscorer has gone above and beyond many times now. He’s helped me with with all the issues I’ve had, stayed with me the entire way. He’s great at trouble shooting. It is excellent, easy to use, easy to correct mistakes. With just 250 people and a small budget this app is so affordable. It has enabled us to look like a more sophisticated larger race without the overheads. It is super easy to use, easy to show someone else how to use it too. There are loads of videos to watch, templates to follow. Why I really love it is the service. Being a tech company I wasn’t expecting such fantastic customer service when I had questions mostly due to my errors. The Webscorer team have always been great to deal with , friendly, efficient and when I really stuffed up this year saved the day.
