Small town feel with large bank perks like many branches throughout the surrounding states when we travel. Thank you ### 1/5 — Awful *2022-11-04, version 9.6.5* You would think after many months of problems and complaints with the biometrics they would fix the problem. The Face ID does not work any longer. At first I thought it was my devices since I called and technical couldn’t fix the problem and it seemed to be isolated. I have since downloaded this on so many devices. I’ve tried the passcode option which actually had me locked out of the app on the first attempt. I’ve called again to to get someone who hates her job bark at me and clearly knows about the problem. So after months now they still haven’t fixed this issue. After years of it working and now doesn’t. Not on the old not on the new. Now I just upgraded my phone thinking hmm maybe it’s a new phone thing. I know crazy. However I use this app all the time and it’s so annoying to constantly put my info in. It always says sorry can’t get in right now with your face. Then I have to put all my info in a million times over. If it was any other app but this one maybe I wouldn’t be so obsessive over it but I literally use this ALL the time. So how hard is it to fix it. I’ve tried deleting it from my cloud. I’ve tried installing it on old devices you name it I’ve tried it. It’s there problem. This bank is ticking me off with there sudden charges and now there crappy app **Developer response:** Hi queen7338. You can reach us at 800.325.2424, we look forward to speaking with you! kc ### 1/5 — Can’t Deposit Checks Anymore from this App *2022-08-14, version 9.5.2* For some reason, with the latest Webster Bank app update, I am unable to deposit my checks through this app, it keeps giving me a message that says “error with request for submit deposit” I have been using the Webster Bank app to deposit my checks for over 3 years and never had any issues at all whatsoever! The weird thing is that the checks go through at my local Webster Bank, but the app is broken and it’s not letting me deposit them. This is really annoying and should be fixed for the next app update! ### 4/5 — Better, but still… *2022-07-26, version 9.5.2* The Face ID and other login problems seem to be fixed, but there’s still one really annoying bill pay “feature”; the default payment date is always an invalid choice. Just make the default date the first available payment date, and save the user from going through the whole payment process before getting an error message and having to go back and fix the date ### 1/5 — One star *2022-05-23, version 9.5.2* Your local atm is Broken very often and when it is working it’s very slow. I just recently had to order a new ATM card and they told me 7-10 days, on the 8th day I called and asked where it was and they said it was never shipped. I had several issues with that card not working and people working the registers would ask me if it was a Webster card, which would lead me to believe that there is an issue with your atm cards. And I know there were other things that aggravated me I just can’t think of them right now. On the plus side the folks at the local bank are always friendly. ### 4/5 — Deposit checks error *2022-05-15, version 9.5.2* This is a twice weekly response I get with the app! The rep simply said some people are having this problem with the app, sorry! I am unable to help you. She said it could be because some checks are wrinkled some checks are not showing up clear in the camera… But whatever it is, there’s no help for it at this time. I FOUND THE SOLUTION! EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY STAMPED THE ENDORSEMENT IN RED- I WROTE ABOVE IT “Deposit Only” and all 3 checks went through (black ink was used) ### 1/5 — Behind the times *2022-05-06, version 9.5.2* Needs an upgrade in every way. UPDATE in response to developer question: start with modernizing bill pay. Payment times can be longer than USPS even for large institutional payees. Allow for e-bill relationships and automatic or periodic payments. Allow for paying multiple payees at a time rather than having to restart the process for each bill. Also, add Zelle for money transfers (website says Zelle is on app but it’s not). Webster in person customer service is tops - don’t change that - but do modernize your app. ### 2/5 — Mid compared to other banking apps *2022-04-21, version 9.5.2* The app isn’t completely terrible but compared to my chase banking app it definitely needs work. The app is slow to open and I constantly get error messages for what reason, I have no idea. I have to close it out and reopen it for it to go through sometimes. The app literally only allows you to see your account and open new ones, there no way to send money or manage your spending like other banking apps. I’m just hoping as time goes on that Webster can catch up to the competition because right now it’s not even close. ### 1/5 — Won't let me view checks *2021-12-26, version 8.0.9* My issue : I am a customer for more than 20 years. I have several business and personal accounts . On one of my accounts I cannot view checks on the App. I can see them online but not on the app. I get " an error has occurred while trying to connect to the interface ". This is going on over several months . I have re installed the app and rebooted numerous times but nothing changes . Called webster and they said to post here . Would be 5 star except for the inability to view checks on one of my most active accounts ### 1/5 — Mobile Deposit Won’t Work *2021-05-11, version 8.0.9* I downloaded this app for the sole purpose of depositing my paycheck, as I’m waiting for a new debit card to do it at an ATM, and because the branch in Sharon closes at 3 (ridiculous). When I tap to take a pic of the check, I tap ok to allow access to the camera, but nothing happens. I checked the iPad settings and camera is turned on for the app. Go back into the app and try again, doesn’t work. When I tap front or back to take a pic, nothing happens. I can still tap deposit amount and change that, but tapping front or back of check to take a pic does nothing. Nothing at all.
