WebTIPS is a personalized app that aims to prepare and support children & families for surgery

Home Before Surgery
● Learn how to manage anxiety using coping techniques at home and on the day of
surgery.
● Watch testimonials of parents whose children have undergone surgery.
Surgery
● Master tools to distract your child’s attention from their procedure.
● Watch a video on anesthesia induction!

Recovery Room
● Learn how nurses and doctors will manage your child's pain.
● Practice using the anxiety management techniques you learned at home before surgery!

Home After Surgery
● Is your child experiencing pain at home? Become an expert at assessing the
signs at home!
● Identify when your child should take medication for pain management.

Web-T
● Take a 360° tour of the surgical floor!
● Allow your child to familiarize themselves with objects they may see on the day of surgery. Play the Mask Game, Sleep Room Game, and Wake Up Room Game!
