The instructions are not complete when you try the 'manual' method. Weconn you need to sort this out I have three plugs I can no longer use! ### 1/5 — not working well, difficult to configure *2018-03-14* very poor online documentation, tiny print on vague instruction sheet, so I can't tell if I'm doing things totally correctly, but I can only get this app to control a Weconn-type plug in 'direct' mode -- for this you have to first log in to your 'account', then connect in Settings to the plug (as AP I guess), then you can switch it ON/OFF. I've had no success, in dozens of tries, to connect the plug to my local wi-fi network. Probably needs a firmware update, but maker's site (Ogemray) has no firmware, or any help at all, for this puzzled user. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not smart Plug *2023-12-22, version 4.25* It can’t connect to Alexa or Google assistant. Advised by Amazon that no longer work on BT network so I need to purchase new. Two ordered but no discount but lots of sorry. They USED to be connectable via the app and then work well in conjunction with any Alexa/Echo device. Now, I can set the plugs up on the app with relative ease but there is no way I’ve found to connect the plugs through to Alexa. They are just not discovered and the app shows them as local (controlled by the app) only. So basically... utterly unfit for purpose now. Thoroughly disappointed in both the quality of the app, the functionality of the plugs and app in combination and the fact that I’m stuck with tech that doesn’t do the one thing it was designed for... ### 1/5 — Why delete all the plugs on an update? *2019-01-13, version 4.14* Which cretinous moron thought it a good idea to delete all my working sockets when I update the app? It’s difficult enough to connect the sockets anyway but to have to reconnect just because you update the app is moronic!!! Thanks for the bug fix.
