Weddar is the first weather service powered by people.

—

In Weddar you have real people reporting on how the weather feels, not machines, bringing a personal touch to weather services.

Instead of the usual and generic “New York, 93º f, 73% humidity, NE light wind.” reports, in Weddar, someone, somewhere in Central Park will tell you that the weather “Feels Perfect”, while another one near the river will tell you that it “Feels Good but windy”, because weather conditions really are different within the same city.

If you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or an iPad, you can now contribute location-based weather reports from where you are.

You can also make “Weddar Requests” for specific places anywhere you’d like to go or when planning your vacations anywhere in the world. A “Weddar Reporter” will answer it.

With almost 1.000.000 Reports in more than 13.500 locations of 147 countries around the world, the Weddar community is growing stronger each day.

With the new update, Weddar is now available in Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Thai, Malay, English, Portuguese (from Portugal and Brazil), Japanese, French, Spanish, Korean, Italian, German and Hungarian.

### 4/5 — Apple can you stop repeated developer emails

*2017-04-03, version 1.9.86*

Apparently the email spam I am getting about my previous review is a new feature added by Apple, the result is that I get repeated requests to update my very old review. There is no way to block this from Apple and it is very annoying. This could easily be abused by a rogue developer, but I am confident in this case it just a glitch in this new Apple feature.

Update, I got yet another email from Apple today, a repeat of the last one, so there is some kind of glitch for sure, most annoying. Not the developer's fault, but it has to stop and I hope that Apple realise this.

Update 2 : I see the reason that I got another Apple email today was that the developer kindly made another comment and that seems to have kicked off another email to let me know. Beginning to understand what is going on.

Apple just need to give a selective or global opt out of developer responses in the email or in the settings in iOS to make this problem vanish. I can't believe that they let this get through their beta testing.

Many thanks for the developer's polite replies to my earlier rants about this APPLE glitch.

### 5/5 — Useful, and fun

*2017-02-27, version 1.9.84*

Been using Weddar since launch and always enjoyed the fun element of plotting the weather where I am. However, beyond that it's also a useful way of finding out what the weather is like elsewhere by requesting a report.

Have even met other Weddar users because we happen to be so close.

What I like is you get a ’feel’ of what it's like rather than the cold forecasts offered by the usual apps.

It's updated often, and even if you don't bother with the points system, it's still a great little app that deserves a wide audience.

### 4/5 — Welcome back Weddar!!!

*2015-06-17*

My favorite weather app is back!! I'm so glad I checked out of the blue to see that the app has just been updated after a crazy-long hiatus. So happy to have Weddar back in my life. Just add support for iPhone 6/6+ display size and it's perfect!

**Developer response:** Thank you! :)

### 4/5 — Getting better!

*2013-11-28, version 1.8.5*

I feel rather bad because I gave Weddar a rather negative review last time, and one that was rather unfounded.

Well, it's getting better now! Privacy has been fixed and minor but helpful improvements have made it a better app.

There are still not very many people using Weddar - maybe better advertising is needed?

One thing I would recommend for Weddar was to expand on the points system. Maybe make it into a bit of a game, to keep users coming back?

Well done, please keep working on this.

### 4/5 — Prochaine MAJ

*2013-08-04*

Mettre la possibilité de la température pression sinon bien :-)

### 3/5 — You now have some privacy

*2013-07-23*

You can log in with email rather than Facebook or Twitter. You can also enable anonymous reporting.

But connectivity has problems. Always has problems "connecting to the interwebz". Maybe they'd have more success if they tried to connect to the Internet. Some of the jokes are funny, until the app stops working right.

Also, the reporting system could be improved. I think the levels for wind, rain, etc. are effective. But the differences between "ok", "good" and "great" are too subjective and could mean anything. My "ok" could be the same as someone else's "hell", so even if I look at the reports around my destination, they are actually not helpful at all because I have no idea how I should interpret the feelings of strangers. Basically, the system itself renders the app useless.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2013-03-19, version 1.8.2*

I use this app very often. It's simple and surprisingly fun to use. I only wish more people used it!

### 1/5 — :(

*2012-11-04, version 1.8.1*

No one in my town uses this...

### 3/5 — Bonne idée solitaire

*2012-11-01*

Dommage ...

*2012-06-24*

Rien d'intéressant. Personne ne participe en france. Même sur paris : une personne

## Frequently asked questions about Weddar

### What is Weddar?

Weddar is a weather service powered by people. Instead of relying solely on machine data, it uses crowdsourced reports from users describing how the weather actually feels in their location. This provides a more personal and hyper-local perspective on weather conditions.

### How does Weddar's weather reporting differ from traditional apps?

Traditional weather apps provide data like temperature and humidity. Weddar focuses on the subjective experience of weather, with users reporting if it 'Feels Perfect' or 'Feels Good but windy'. This offers a more relatable and nuanced understanding of local weather.

### Can I get weather information for places I'm not currently in?

Yes, Weddar allows you to make 'Weddar Requests' for specific places anywhere in the world. A 'Weddar Reporter' will then answer your request, providing a crowdsourced weather report for that location, which is useful for travel planning.

### Is Weddar available on all devices and in multiple languages?

Weddar is available for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The app has been updated to support a wide range of languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Thai, Malay, English, Portuguese, Japanese, French, Spanish, Korean, Italian, German, and Hungarian.

### Is Weddar free to use?

Yes, Weddar is a free app. The description highlights it as a 'free app' and does not mention any in-app purchases or subscription models, indicating it is available at no cost to users.
