The flow is a little quirky and having to ask, guess to put their plus one’s name in a memo. Other than that, there are a lot of great features in the WeddingWire website. Blaa ### 1/5 — Wedding vendors can remove negative reviews *2025-08-11, version 9.22.1* I had a semi negative experience with a vendor I found on wedding wire. I left a fair review and the vendor responded. However because the vendor tried to steal from me she had the review removed and wedding wire does nothing. Beware of all the positive reviews you see. ### 1/5 — App is non functional *2024-11-09, version 9.18.0* When planning my wedding, I picked wedding wire because of the able to hide my wedding date. With a longer engagement, I wanted to share some details before the date was solidified and wedding wire was the only site to allow that. That has been the only positive. The app frequently crashes when trying to perform basic functions. Additionally, I used the online invite function and many of my guests reported never receiving their invite. I would not utilize Wedding Wire again nor can I recommend it ### 1/5 — App takes down negative reviews even after dispute process *2023-06-20* I used wedding wire to find most of my wedding vendors. Some were amazing and I left great reviews. However, two of them were awful and caused a lot of issues on my wedding day. Of course the vendors disputed the poor reviews and wedding wire takes them down until you go through their dispute process. Wedding wire only contacted me on one, which I provided proof of what happened, and they reinstated me review. A week or two later, the vendor disputed the same review AGAIN and got it taken down. After trying to reach out to the dispute team I got no response. No one ever reached out to handle the other poor review even though I had proof of that as well. I wouldn’t want any other brides to have to deal with some of the things I did on my wedding day, and it’s sad that wedding wire’s dispute process is such a joke. I found a Reddit of a bunch of other people having the same complaints. Just be sure to check other sites such as yelp and Google reviews instead of solely relying on wedding wire if you choose to use them. ### 1/5 — No Help At All *2021-12-16, version 9.4.5* This app is annoying to deal with and not helpful at all. Like so many my date has changed multiple times but there is no way to update the to-do timeline making the entire purpose I downloaded the app useless. Couples need help planning what to do by when and there is no way to change the checklists after your first use. They update their systems every so often which has caused me to lose my entire guest list and then entire account, made me register a new account but was unable to do anything with as the email was already in use? I had to deactivate, uninstall, reinstall, and reactivate the account to get everything to work again. All things I trial and errored on my own. There’s just too many issues, it makes planning more stressful and annoying to have to deal with. Theres so many other better options out there. ### 1/5 — Not honest reviews *2021-12-05, version 9.4.5* Wedding wire and the knot have a rule that you cant give a venue a review unless you have a contract. What does this mean? It means all of those who had a bad experience with sales staff are unable to write a review. One venue we looked at was not inclusive to other cultures food. This was sad, the sales person said her chef was not interested in trying different cuisine (Indian food). Even said he would just follow a recipe and it may not be good. This shows a lack of skill on the chefs part. This was the Inn at Boltwood in Amherst, Massachusetts. We tried to leave a review and the wedding wire removed it and told us we can’t place honest reviews because we did not have a contract. It did not matter to them that we clearly reached out to the venue because we would have wanted to get married there. Clearly the wedding wire has a lot of “5 star” reviewed venues. That’s because the wedding wire and the know don’t give you honest reviews. ### 1/5 — Not very user-friendly *2018-04-12* So I have started discussions on topics that don’t even apply to me anymore, and I honestly do not want the discussion up at this point. I read a reply they wrote saying “we don’t delete forums because it could be valuable information and help for our brides.” Ok, but if I want to delete MY OWN forum discussion, I should be able to do so. I say run. This app is complete garbage and more of a headache than any sort of help. I tried to find a way to delete it and if there is one, it didn’t show up anywhere on my app. Not only that, but I decided to try and delete it because I just don’t want it anymore, and in my account settings a deactivate option is nowhere to be found. There are other small quirks with the app that I have decided to look past as well, such as how it’s impossibly annoying to even try to get to your own forum discussion, etc. However it’s just getting to the point where I don’t even want the account anymore. Very frustrating that there seems to be no way to delete the account on the app, as if trying to make it more difficult to do so. And I’ll agree with the other review I read about the rude people on forums, you ask one simple question and these rude females fly way off the handle acting like Dr. Phil. When you have a moment, please reach out to us at support@weddingwire.com and we would be happy to help you with this. ### 1/5 — Bad customer service/false advertisement *2018-02-27, version 7.7.8* I used wedding wire because they said that you got $25 for every vendor you booked by finding them on their app. I found my bakery and contacted them via phone number and then proceeded to message them to follow up. After contacting support about my reward, Wedding wire staff said they must be messaged first in order to receive the rewards. This is not explicitly stated anywhere in the rewards description so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager proceeded to state the same thing and even after explaining that I had simply got the number off of WeddingWire and called before messaging them, she refused to give the reward. I wouldn’t use this app again, I would use the knot app instead. The rewards are a HOAX and I am very dissatisfied with this fraudulent behavior. If I could rate a zero I would. ### 1/5 — The app is great. The users not so much *2017-11-13* The app is great. It helped us find our vendors and the timeline is super helpful. The users however are downright mean. Any idea you have or question you ask gets you ridiculed and judged. It’s my wedding and I asked a question about something in the forum. The entire community told me it was tacky and I shouldn’t do it. It was rude and made me feel attached. I reported it and the team told me everyone was entitled to an opinion. But I had users telling me my wedding would be horrible and they wouldn’t go if they were invited. It was non-stop and I didn’t think the support team was helpful. It wasn’t just me, I read other peoples forum questions and they all had people arguing and putting peoples weddings and ideas down. So I’d recommend it for everything, but skip the forum. They are only hurtful. I’m reading other reviews and they are similar to mine. “Hateful community” “disrespectful” “makes you feel bad about your budget and cultural beliefs” one of the reviews is an example of how the hateful brides are. Something along the lines of “if you expect us to tell you a cash bar is a good idea your wrong. Not everyone is nice WECOME TO THE INTERNET” those are the kind of responses you’ll get.
