It ended up just adding stress. Some details, like the money getting "locked up," are just not helpful, but we were already too far in before realizing how much of a pain it was. I didn't realize a lot of vendors are really willing to negotiate on price (our vendors were in California), but since we had "pre-agreed" to an overall budget through Wedy, any money we saved didn't matter unless we wanted to add more somewhere else under our "plan". The "project managers" were very nice, but there were many cases where I had to correct or remind the Wedy team of key details that I had emailed them about previously. I never felt like the details would be correct if I didn't stay on top of them all myself. Wedy markets the service as you not having to worry about communicating a lot with the vendors. This was not the case; I had to get involved with each one because I was more responsive, and I ended up going over everything outside of making the payments with them. On top of the structure of Wedy, two weeks before our wedding, we had a video call with our day-of-coordinator, and had two not positive interactions with them, but we were stuck with them. We brought up our concern after the second meeting, and Wedy staff said they worked with them before and they are great - no other options. Day of they were subpar and definitely should not be labeled as a wedding coordinator, an assistant to one, maybe. We spent a lot of money, and using Wedy didn't really do anything to make it easier. They complicated our interactions with vendors, provided a subpar day of coordination, and had a habit of overlooking details. It was a lot of pointless stress. I would recommend controlling the planning yourself instead of using Wedy due to their lack of skill and professionalism. ### 5/5 — Amazing team picked by Wedy! *2024-04-23* Wedy helped me and my now husband plan our whole wedding and it was magical! We opted for a mini wedding of 25 guests. Carrie helped us with finding all our vendors from the venue to the food. My specific wedding included venue, photo, floral, makeup, and officiant. These vendors were amazing! The Wedy folks themselves were so easy to work with and incredibly helpful at making sure my dream wedding came to life while staying within budget! We live in NY and got married in California and it was actually crazy how stress free the whole entire process was for me! ### 5/5 — Breckenridge micro wedding *2022-12-15* We canceled our traditional wedding with guests and decided to have a private ceremony with just our parents as guests in the mountains. Honestly, I just wanted to show up and everything already be done. That’s pretty much what we got. After weeks of searching for an all inclusive package, I found Wedy. Our initial consultation was with Rumi. She’s awesome. We showed her pictures of the vibe we wanted, the scenery we were looking for, the types of photographs we wanted, and that was it. From then on, she would send recommendations of places she thought matched our vision. In fact, I couldn’t fully see one of the locations and wasn’t sure if our parents could walk it, so she had someone go walk it all the way from the parking lot to the point where we would stand and videoed the whole thing. The location was just perfect and everything we asked for. She also sent recommendations for photographers, hair and makeup artists, officiants, florists, picnic decor, and cakes. Everyone had IGs so it was really easy to see their style. Rumi would then connect us with the vendor and we would discuss. Once we picked all our vendors, Rumi sent us a timeline of everything and everyone. We just had to show up. My hair and makeup artist (Tiffani Star @makeupby_tiffanistar) was fabulous. I sent her IG pictures of what I wanted and she killed it. The florist (@theplanningco.co) was the bomb. Sent her some IG pictures and she made the most beautiful arrangements. Our photographer….I honestly don’t have the words for her. Taylor, @taylorhassebroekphoto, was the sweetest, chillest, down for whatever, photographer ever. The pictures she made are incredible. And I hate photos of myself. Hate. But I could stare at these all day. She was funny. Made us both feel super comfortable. We got a link to all of our pictures in less than a month. Our officiant, Jo @elevateweddingofficiant, is exactly the type of officiant we were looking for. Super warm energy and very smily. She can basically create whatever type of ceremony you want: religious or not, funny or serious, long or short, and everything in between. We also had a little picnic setup by the lake. It was super cute and the perfect little snack after eating air all day. They came and set up before we got there and took everything down after we left. We didn’t have to do anything. @theperfectpicnicdenver Everything was just easy. No stress. Which is exactly what we wanted.
