It’s great when it works, It glitches a lot. My seating chart keeps coming undone. If I delete something it will reappear and it’s impossible to make any changes.

I regret paying for this app because I’m confident there are much better options out there. The biggest issue is how glitchy it is. I’ve deleted tables and centerpieces at least 20–30 times, and they keep reappearing on their own. On top of that, the app constantly rearranges my table layouts without any input, which makes it nearly impossible to maintain an organized setup.
The guest list feature has potential, but it creates more problems than it solves. When building a seating chart, it duplicates guests—so you end up with two or three of the same person at one table. Even worse, if you group a guest with their plus one, it can remove the original name entirely and replace it with the plus one’s name.
Overall, this app creates more work instead of saving time. It’s frustrating and unreliable.

I am definitely glad that I had this app!  

There are a few things that I did not have time to figure out, so having basic instructions would be nice.  There were a couple of times that it seemed to glitch when I opened up the program and it looked like I had lost all my data, but I didn’t. It just takes a minute to load.

I would definitely recommend, because it is very easy to switch people from one table to another if you have last-minute guests respond.

I signed up for a free trial for three days and decided I didn’t want to continue use, so I cancelled my subscription while I was still in the free trial. Later that same day I was charged the $69.99 for a year subscription! I disputed the charge and it was deemed not eligible for a refund. Now I have to hope I can get my bank to help me. As far as how the app itself worked, it wasn’t terrible but I only used it for an hour and in that short time I did very little. I don’t like that the “undo” option seems to forget some of what you’ve done. For instance if you move a bunch of people around and decide to undo those moves, it might put people back where they were and start deleting some names. I wish I would have just stuck to creating tables in Excel so I didn’t have to have potentially given up $70 for a useless hour experience

THERE NEEDS TO BE BETTER INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO USE IT. but over all its great. the costomer service is excellent and always gets back tome quickly.  I wanted to add some things and they did.  I just have difficulty dragging and make the size right and making a template.  Mainly user error I am sure.

I read several reviews mentioning that you cannot rotate tables to angles other than 90. I also saw the app owner responding to use two fingers like in maps. But it doesn’t work for me. It will zoom in and out, select and unselect. But I absolutely cannot rotate a table. I also can’t choose where I want seats at a table. For example if I am butting the short side of a rectangular table against another to create a really large rectangle (family style dining), I can’t configure the seating to match. I didn’t even bother with the other features as I have them free in several apps. And I’m definitely not paying so much for this! I can use paint for free on my computer - and actually be able to rotate the tables!!

**Developer response:** Hey, thanks for the feedback. If you tap a table, there's a rotation field where you can type in whatever angle you want it rotated in degrees. The quick rotate button at the top does just do 90 degrees at a time. 
For seating customization, have you tried the "Fixed option"? It lets you say exactly how many seats go on each side of a table instead of the seats being placed evenly around.

If you are an event planner that will be using this app every day it maybe worth the cost, otherwise the cost is more than what you will get from it. Needed a layout design that would provide measurements for setup, which this does not seem to do. Layout design, while having tools to resize and assign seats, is hard to align design elements.

Even the free trial was infuriating. Says 3 days but then as you start to add tables it gives you a pop up telling you that’s too many button choices and you have pay to continue. Don’t waste your time adding this.

I want to love this so badly, but it just isn't functional. I set a wall down, and then I try to move it into place, and it doesn't move. None of the objects do. Once I set them on the canvas, that's it, they are there forever. It's too bad because this would be a great tool if it actually functioned.

This app is complete garbage. The free trial is more useful than the actual product. The features are limited, the quality is poor, and it's definitely not worth the subscription price. I accidentally got charged after the trial and couldn't get a refund. Save your money and look elsewhere.

It was great until it wasn’t, I’m glad I was able to realize before the trial version expired, i worked so hard on my chart, went back to it and it was completely ruined, every table had 100 chairs instead of 8! There were lots of glitches.

I have used seat puzzle on numerous occasions for events here and there but on May 8, 2025 on my Mac book I was prompted to resubscribe in order to add elements to one of my saved floor plans.

There was a promotion listed at $11/month in order to get me to resubscribe to the platform, which I decided to do based on that monthly price. As I proceeded to make the purchase I was then Notified that I was charged at an annual rate of $130/yr. 

I have attempted to resolve the issue via the App Store but my refund request has been denied. I submitted for an appeal and my request was still denied. I emailed the customer service email for seat puzzle and have yet to receive any feedback since 5/11/25. 

I understand subscription based services make money on the subscriptions especially the annual ones but the fact that I have not heard anything from the company since they misled me to subscribe annually speaks volumes. 

I would appreciate it if someone could respond to my concerns but I have low expectations out of this scamming company.

Ich habe mir die 3 Tage Probeversion geholt, um zu gucken wie es funktioniert. Leider nach einem Tag schon gemerkt, dass die App nicht sonderlich gut funktioniert und aus Frustration App geschlossen und nicht noch einmal daran gedacht. Jetzt wurde leider die Pro Version abgebucht und ich habe 80€ für eine App bezahlt, die absolut nicht funktioniert. Wenn man Sachen antippt, reagiert es nicht. Es verschiebt ständig Sachen, die man nicht angetippt hat. Man kann nichts ausmessen und Maße zwischen Abständen werden meistens nicht angezeigt.

I’d love this app because it’s basic and useable. It bugged out a little when I tried to change a table later, but nothing major as it worked again when I exited and got back in. The measurements and estimates of chairs were so good. But it won’t let me drag chairs to my own arrangement. I might be a silly engaged person but I work in hospitality and I know many good table arrangements. Just let me drag chairs across tables—then it’d be perfect (as well as flipping the table rather than just rotating). Again, I so appreciate this ancient app. But let me drag someone from the long side of the table to the short side. Then I’d actually pay for this app. And I’m sure moronic managers and restaurant owners would too, seeing as they themselves can’t visualise a layout because they’re physically useless and absent. You’d make money adding these custom features. Obv I’m not allowed to move furniture around my booked venue so this is why this suggestion applies to me. Anyway I gave you 5 stars in the end cos I read your reviews and they were stupid and unfair.

The updates worked, and this app is awesome! Hoping for some other building shaped like hexagons and octagons, or at least shapes that we can adjust to scale and set in the background. I was able to build my octagon with walls, though. It just took some time. Thanks for the update, and the personal attention via email, etc. You guys are really great!
