Their customer service is top notch. I decided to add a feature after I already paid, and I contact customer service and they scheduled a 30 minute call with me. The co founder of the company was super sweet, patient, and walked me through the whole process. I shared the app details with many of my family members, friends, and guests. I just received my highlight video and got to view the 10 minute video and so couldn’t be happier. Both videos truly capture the best day ever...our wedding day! We knew that we could create our own video because we know how to use iMovie. But we also knew it would take many more hours than we are willing to spend. Wedding Mix made it easy for us to collect guests’ videos taken on their phones. Wee ultimately had the company create a video from selections from our homemade ceremony video, guests’ reception videos and still photos (snapshots and our professional photographer’s photos). We got a terrific 10 minute summary of our special day. The highlight and feature video both turned out great. The only advice I have is to educate your guests about how it works which I really didn’t do. I think we would have gotten more video clips than we did. Our package included a couple GoPros along with app access for our guests. Several guests used the app successfully and we got a good amount of footage! I do know some people had a hard time getting uploads to go through unless they kept the app open and babysat it, which seemed odd. Ruined video *2022-02-28, version 4.0.0* I stupidly used this company instead of spending money on a videographer. The memory card they sent me was full and we didn’t know until the time of the wedding. There was nothing to be done. They offered me NO financial reimbursement of any kind instead they made me basically a slide show of my wedding photos. It makes me so upset to even think about it. They were completely uncaring about their mistake that cost me a wedding video. ### 1/5 — Poor photo management *2018-10-15, version 3.9.4* If you take a photo, you don’t see it until has been uploaded. If you take a bad photo, you can’t delete before uploading. You have no idea what’s being uploaded and if you take a bad picture, it is getting uploaded regardless. Emailed the developer and was told this was by design. App crashed on others phones every time they tried to take a photo. ### 1/5 — Super slow at video upload *2018-04-24, version 3.8.8* This app has been trying to upload a video of mine for TWO DAYS! I tried to report a problem directly to them, but it won’t allow me to “send” the message, so I came here to write a review. Help! My friend should get to see her wedding photos and videos! ### 2/5 — Pretty disappointed *2023-12-15, version 4.0.3* I had to follow up with them at just about every stage of the process to get the video. It was almost a year after our wedding before we got the final video back. There was a step I missed, and they claimed they sent follow up and reminder emails, but I scoured through my inbox and spam folders and they only ever sent 1 email and never followed up. You have to do a lot of the editing yourself, choosing the clips and photos to be used, what order they’ll be used in, where the video should start/end etc. Their online editing tool isn’t great. I feel like I could have made a very similar quality video myself in ShotCut in the amount of time I spent working on this. They didn’t even use the recorded audio from the sound recorder they sent which had better quality of the ceremony. For clips that were taken from different angles of our first dance, I figured they would use the best quality audio, but they just let the audio quality vary as the shot changed which sounds weird. I don’t feel like they really did anything beyond the work I did in their editor. I guess the main thing you’re paying for is the ability to have people video things on their phones and upload it, so if you go in expecting that and expecting to do a lot of the work yourself, then you’ll be satisfied. I don’t feel like that was clear going in, so I wish I’d just done it myself. ### 3/5 — Wedding videography *2018-10-06, version 3.9.4* We decided to use weddingmix as our “videographer” because we liked the idea of having a video but needed something more budget friendly - which this was. The ordering process and setup was a simple. Customer service is receptive. However, we found the guests had a hard time using the video cameras because it was difficult to tell when they were and weren’t recording (we got about an hour plus of the ceiling because someone set down the camera without realizing they were still recording). The app seemed easy enough but I did have quite a few people complaining that they couldn’t tell if their photos or videos had uploaded. Other than that it was cool to have the option for guests to upload their own photos and videos and to get footage from our guests perspective. If I were to do it again though, I would splurge for an actual videographer. After the wedding you’re expected to go online and piece together your video (unless you pay extra I guess) and I found it hard to find the time to do it and the website is difficult and confusing to navigate. ### 3/5 — Testing it a bit *2013-04-25, version 2.1.1* Considering using it for my wedding. Two immediate bugs: when I tried to record video, it reminded me that I should be on landscape but I couldn't because I had portrait locked. But I didn't realize that was the problem for a minute and there was no way to back out of the video taking (it was darkened with no way of exiting back to the menu). Then when I did take off the lock and successfully took some basic video, the menus were all stuck in landscape mode and I couldn't force it to swivel back to portrait. ### 4/5 — Great bang for your buck! *2020-07-17, version 4.0.0* I am very glad we went with wedding mix! We got videos and photos directly from guests so it captures the organic moments as they were experienced. The team worked so patiently to help us make the video just how we wanted. Wedding mix was the perfect solution! The app was easy to use (seriously my mom figured it out) and allowed us to capture our big day from tons of different perspectives! Oh and as long as the app is downloaded in advance cell service/WiFi isn’t even an issue. The coolest part was getting videos of well wishes from friends all around the country. After looking into it, I found it to be affordable for my budget. I picked the package and WM sent the cameras a few days before the wedding. I had time to figure them out which wasn’t difficult. We were able to play with them at rehearsal which helped so much. The day of the wedding I had set people to set up the cameras and got the audio recorder to the groom. After the wedding, I sent off the package and then waited-not so patiently - no it was fine. I just couldn’t wait to see how WM put it together. After some weeks, I got the 3 minute teaser in my email. I say and sobbed while viewing it over and over. It took my breath away. So many things that I just didn’t see while it was all happening but now I could! The final video just came through-4 months later which was quicker than stated. I am thrilled! WM did a fabulous job! I am beyond thankful for having this treasure. You will be so grateful. I highly recommend Wedding Mix!!
