One Day all you’ll have left is pics/videos.
Lots of ppl end up falling outta contact cuz they “don’t have time for everyone”….but it’s much easier when basic communication takes just 5 minutes or less, once a week.
The latest update was initially a little irritating due to videos not saving & some videos not showing in the history which was a bummer but it appears those issues have been ironed it out & all past waffles were restored.
PROS: Originally just 3min, now the time limit is 5min- you can use all 5 OR cut it short, it’s up to you. Allows for a late upload w/in a window of time if life was life’ing that day. Subtitles. Multiple playback speeds. Allows you to review the waffle before sending. Don’t like it? Re-record! super simple, easy to navigate, you can make separate groups to stay in contact with diff. ppl & w/o having to make separate videos- you can record one & upload to every group simultaneously OR create separate waffles tailored to each group.
CONS: can’t upload (pics or videos) from your photos/library. Sometimes videos take a crazy long time to upload & it says not to leave the page til the waffle is sent, so if you do OR if the screen times out, sometimes it’ll still go through, sometimes it won’t. Sometimes it’ll completely restart the upload process.
I’m a big believer in taking lots of photos/videos cuz one day, that’s all you’ll have left to look back on!

So sorry to hear you're running into issues! Rest assured your old Waffle videos are all safe & sound. The new version of the app was a complete rebuild that required us to migrate all user data which is not a small undertaking, and although we reviewed everything to make sure nothing was missed, these processes aren't always perfect. A great way to keep in touch
I’ve been using the Waffles app for close to a year now and find that it is a great way to keep in touch with friends I am not geographically close to. The app has definitely had some bugs in that past year, but the team seems to be eager to fix them and very responsive to feedback. It’s been great to use the waffle app to help automate some of the keeping in touch that I would like to do, but sometimes forget to in the hustle and bustle of life.

Loving this app! It looks great, and is so easy to use, and gives my friends and I a way to intentionally stay connected even though we’re all in different cities. They’ve truly thought of everything — I love being able to comment and see others’ comments, and to send different waffles to different groups. The team is also so responsive to feedback and questions. Can’t say enough good things!

Not user friendly
The intent is great, the product is not. Not intuitive, took a while faffing to figure it out, wasn’t easy to set up, people found it hard to join and while

Great way to maintain friendships
Been using the app for a couple weeks now. It’s easy to use, great interface and it’s made keeping up with friends really fun.

Have been using the app since the relaunch a few weeks ago and love the built in reactions, emojis, comments, etc. It makes staying connected so much more fun and engaging than just using iMessage or WhatsApp!

Ever since hearing about the Wednesday waffle concept I’ve been a huge fan and the app just made the experience SO much better. I moved to a different country from most of my girlfriends and family this year so being able to stay connected and get updates across different timezones is such a blessing. CONS: Update DELETED ALL previous ones (saved our notes tho which was weird!?)
NOT COOL. 1 in the group switched to android & since then it’s been nothing BUT probs for him& he’s ready to delete.
Pls fix asap W/O deleting ANYTHING else ESP Video wise

Potential but buggy
I love the concept, and have enjoyed connecting with friends over the last couple months and learning about things us guys probably wouldn’t bother messaging about. But please, please sort the app out! It’s super buggy, waffles hardly ever come through like they used to in prev app versions. And now my latest video is laggy! We don’t want to have to just use WhatsApp, we want to use the app!

Won’t Let me In
I’ve been trying to get into the app for days now. It keeps getting stuck loading or when it finally does load it won’t let me past the choose a profile picture screen. I hit continue and nothing happens. I just want to get it the app :(

Hey there - sorry that you were having login issues with the MVP. We've rebuilt the app entirely and now you can login with you phone number or Google/Apple and should be able to create a profile without any issues! There's also a ton of new features to make Waffling as fun as it can be. Let us know what you think if you're open to giving it another try!

I love this app. Having worked in the mental health field, it’s obvious the benefits that something like this can provide. It makes keeping in touch intentional and fun. You can share the exciting things happening in your life, or a chance to be vulnerable. It opens doors to communication that you might not otherwise have. Can’t say enough good things. Also, bonus that the team works so hard to continuously improve the app and the experience.
