Turns out, I was wrong. Within 10 minutes of signing up and using the app to add guests, I saw that the server was down. It took forever to add my 37 guests because the app kept crashing. I also tried adding on the website and had the same issues. Finally got all my guests loaded on the app. After a few test runs sending messages through the app to my fiancé, I figured it was good to go. I sent a group message with a photo. Unfortunately, it did not go well. Some guests got the full message and a picture and others just received a picture of us from an unknown number so of course guests deleted or blocked the number. There is no rhyme or reason nor a way to figure out which guests have the full message or just a picture. I sent a message to support but now I have to wait 48 hours for a response. Understanding that only 10 people work there because they make it known on their page. I’m hoping there is a resolution to fix this glitch or make this app worthwhile. I would caution using this app until it becomes more stable. ### 3/5 — App Has Bugs *2025-10-05, version 4.1.5* The desktop version works great, but the mobile app version has way too many bugs. The reply option isn’t available to text back guest. It crashes and displays errors like when trying to add a new user. Hopefully they take feedback into consideration for the mobile app experience. ### 2/5 — Wasted My Money *2025-07-23, version 4.1.5* Worked fine the day before the wedding but server was down day of wedding. Was not able to send any messages out. By the time the server came up we had no time to schedule anything. Company claimed it was our carrier thinking that our messages were spam and blocking them. So we had to manually text 130 people very important details. Very frustrating. I keep getting email and password not valid error even though there seems to be nothing wrong with both the email as well as password I entered ### 2/5 — App glitching *2022-03-11, version 3.2.03* The app isn’t sending out the messages or even showing the scheduled messages after I save them. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for AT&T customers!!! *2021-10-30, version 3.2.03* After spending HOURS setting up our messages regarding transportation pick ups (very important) we found out the day of that they have been having a glitch with AT&T and those customers would not receive the messages. I asked for help for weeks prior to the wedding and never received a single response from their “help desk”. Got an email the day of the event at 5pm notifying us of the AT&T but it was too late to reach the guests. It was total chaos. Very disappointed because it seems like a great concept ### 1/5 — Didn’t work when I needed it the most *2021-10-25, version 3.2.03* I was able to schedule a few texts a couple months before my wedding. However, the week before my wedding, none of the texts I scheduled were sent. I emailed their support and they suggested sending the texts directly instead of scheduling in advance. This worked once and then also stopped working. They weren’t able to fix it in time for my wedding and I ended up using other communication means to get the info out. I wanted to like this service & recommend it to others, but it failed technically in multiple areas. ### 3/5 — Glitchy *2021-03-24, version 3.1.10* I paid to use the full access and it won’t allow me to use all the features:adding three accounts, giving feedback within the app. ### 3/5 — Used for a complex multi-day Indian wedding *2019-10-18, version 3.0.2* While the idea is good and definitely kept people aware of what was happening, there are some problems with execution: Guests are sent an opt out message before every text. And there is a lag between the opt out message and the text itself, so your phone dings just to tell you you can opt out from the incoming text, which arrives in the next minute. Not sure if this is a legal thing but it is quite irritating and people are alerted twice when they should only be alerted once, with a lag between alerts. I found this so annoying and will probably not use wedtext ever again because of this feature. The opt out text should come once a day at most. If you have the same guest in multiple groups (for example, “bridal party” and “family”) and you send a text to both groups, they will receive multiple of the same texts (plus the opt out text!) This should not happen. Groups had to be reconfigured mid-wedding when we realized this was happening. Very annoying and not at all well thought out. I had to manually configure groups and wish I could have done that with a CSV upload. If you create a text for the wrong date, the app forces you to rewrite the whole text rather than just fixing the error. What? It is impossible to upgrade your account if you find you need to add more people. I had to reach out to wedtext by email to do this, although they replied promptly and their customer service was great. Overall this app was very informative and people seemed to know what was going on at my wedding despite the complicated scheduling, especially when things were running late or when there were location changes, but I think it could still use improvement to streamline and be less annoying for guests, especially those in the bridal party and family, who received a lot of communication. I was really hoping this would be a good alternative to a barrage of WhatsApp messages or yelling at crowds. But while the idea is sound, the service is just not there yet. It’s still too inelegant and I’m a little embarrassed that I subjected my guests to all those opt out messages. ### 1/5 — Unreliable. Sent jumbled messages to certain guests. *2019-08-02, version 3.0.2* Set everything up properly and the very first message to guests is a disaster- ordering of the words messed up, words added that weren’t there, just a nonsensical text received by certain guests. Others received the message perfectly as it was input, but with over 100 guests no way to know for sure who got the bad versions. Waste of money and source of anxiety and frustration just days before my wedding ### 1/5 — Fake reviews? *2019-05-08, version 3.0.2* Update: They fixed the app quitting and suggested I delete and redownload the app. However, they stopped responding to me. I found a promo code (two actually) and they will not honor it as they say it ended, but the website I got it from is legit and has an expiration date into the end of the year. Definitely stay away from this company since they seem great, but are really not who they say they are. ————————- How does this get all five stars? I want to love this app, but I am not able to use it. I signed up for the free version to test it out and it is always telling me that an update is available, but then I go to the App Store and it is up to date. Then it keeps quitting on me when I try to set up anything through the templates of before the wedding! I paid for this app/service during February 2026. It worked up until around May 2026. The text messages no longer send and there is no one working to help support. I’ve sent around 5 different emails to their support team with no response. It’s very clear this company is no longer active but somehow still allowing people to sign up and pay for the service. I am currently working with my bank to obtain my funds. This is so unfortunate. I contacted support multiple times over this period and was told only that they are working on it. But 48+ hours later—including over a weekend when we’ve been trying to send out important texts to our guests—the app had been wholly inoperable. Doesn't seem like this product is getting any attention from a product team to keep it operational. ### 1/5 — I don’t think this company exists anymore *2025-10-30, version 4.1.5* I downloaded this app and paid $140 to be able to text my guests. The $140 came out of my account and I never got access to add more guests. They don’t have a customer service number and tell you to submit tickets or emails. I have sent 4 now and haven’t gotten a single response back in over a week. Save your money and get an app that actually works. I think this company is inactive. The app is not working and just stays on the loading screen after signing up. The website on my computer isn’t any better and I can’t get past the sample text screen. Could not complete it. Now I cannot log in. Emailed support who sent a generic reply back with instructions to reply to the email. I replied and it’s a no-reply address. We thought we would need to set aside a few hours to set everything up, but we were done in no time. The platform helps keep you organized, there are multiple ways to add and edit your guests, and the App allows for real time changes - Fantastic! They really have thought of EVERYTHING! We used Wedtext for our wedding in 2021 for our nuptials. It was so easy to use. And helped so much in keeping our family & friends informed of what was going on. It was very instrumental in advising our guests when we had to reschedule our wedding from 2020 to 2021 due to Covid-19. Between Wedtext and our wedding planner our lives was so easy to notify our guests of the changes/postponing. It just made our experience relaxing and stress free. Once we rescheduled our wedding, which we used Wedtext to help notify our family and friends. We had our messages set before the wedding weekend started, so we didn't have to think about anything. It gave us peace of mind knowing that everyone knew where they had to be and when for the entire weekend. Once the messages started going out, so many of our guests stated how cool they thought it was! Sending one message to everyone and it still remained personal due to how the platform is. Our guests have loved the communication! We’ have recommended this service to so many other couples getting married and will continue to do so! Fantastic App!! Wish, this App could be used for other events like birthdays etc., hopefully in the future. ### 5/5 — Best money spent *2023-06-26, version 3.2.04* Absolutely loved this app for our wedding. Used it to the max. Even Texted every person their table numbers because we didn’t want people to take their table cards until after the wedding. We received unbelievable feedback from our guests about the texts. No one was ever out of the loop. Tip - to make sure people aren’t taking their phones out during ceremony, send a threatening(but funny) text 5 mins before go time. Worked for us! This app allowed us to schedule messages to various groups throughout the week leading up to the big day! From a welcome text, to “don’t be late for rehearsal”, to “join us for Farewell Brunch” and so forth. The ability to schedule a message, or even send out a group message ASAP (we had a wedding trolley picking up guests at hotel and delivering them to venue and were able to tell guests exactly where the pickup location was and that it was running on time). All the guests were impressed with how coordinated everything was! ### 5/5 — Re: A Wedding Must!!! *2019-11-18, version 3.0.2* There’s enough stress a wedding puts on the bride and groom and then when the last month comes around the corner you’re inundated with guest questions.
