It started doing this in early July. I would restart my phone and the events would reappear, but now they have disappeared and will not come back despite multiple attempts of restarting my phone. ### 2/5 — Badge notification not appearing !! *2026-07-21, version 16.3.2* Badge notification displaying today’s date doesn’t appear, despite turning on appropriate settings. Frustrating as used to appear. Otherwise great app, but have to score down for this annoying gremlin. ### 4/5 — Bug *2026-07-08, version 16.3.2* There is a bug ib the latest update (16.3.2) on Iphone 17 ios 26.5.2. When you try to edit an event that has notes and touch the notes section, the keyboard comes up and covers the section, it used to move to the line where the cursor is but now you cannot see the cursor behind the keyboard :( ### 1/5 — WARNING!!! LOST ALL ENTRIES TWICE!!!!!! *2026-07-08, version 16.3.2* I have used this app for at least 10 years if not more and have absolutely loved it!! Never any issues whatsoever until about a year and a half ago, I pulled up my calendar and EVERYTHING was GONE…past, present, and future!! I contacted the developer and they said it had something to do with the native iPhone calendar overwriting the app’s entries. They offered some suggestions on how I could possibly restore my data. However, I tried everything that was still possible with no success. Because I love the app so much I came to terms with the devastating loss and moved forward. While I had not fully recovered from the loss of recurring annual entries such as detailed birthday input, anniversaries, special dates etc I was on my way to rebuilding my calendar for scheduling purposes. But then a couple days ago I pulled up my calendar and EVERY page and view was BLANK AGAIN!!! I turned my phone off and on multiple times thinking that a restart might solve it but still blank. This morning I decided to delete the app and reinstall. However, once app was deleted and reinstalled I was not able to get past a subscription page to access my calendar now. I paid for an upgrade years ago to have advanced features, but when I hit restore, I got a “Restored” message but the subscription page did not go away. After having lost ALL of my data TWICE all trust of this app is gone!! I would not pay any amount of money to have it at this point! Was debating whether or not to even stay with it period, but I needed the information I’d lost so was doing what I could to at least retrieve it!!! They had a really good thing while it lasted but would not recommend it now. ### 1/5 — Not liking this update 😬 *2026-07-02, version 16.3.1* Now it’s broken. Every time I open an appointment for details, I can’t close out of it. It stays frozen on the screen. I have to completely close out the app and get back into it. Can no longer use it the way I have for 15 years. Data suddenly locked away until I pay something over, thanks! This is intrusive, frustrating, and completely unacceptable. Please update to the latest version of WeekCal if you haven't already. WeekCal displays the calendars connected to your device and does not store events directly. Please check that your calendar accounts are enabled under Settings > Calendar > Accounts, verify the correct calendars are selected in WeekCal, and refresh your calendar data by going to Settings > Calendar > Sync, selecting Events 6 Months Back, and then switching back to All Events. If your tasks are still missing, please contact us through Settings > Contact Support so we can investigate further and assist you. ### 1/5 — Trial to charge trick *2026-08-04, version 16.3.2* I was tricked by trial-straight-to-charge trick. Now $25 per year doesn’t even buy the ability to swipe between days?!? I just paid and learned that. I updated finally. I shouldn’t have. The previous skin was much better. Apparently that’s not an option now. It’s new skin or find a new app. Give users options! Privacy lock requires me to touch the fingerprint icon THEN put finger on reader EVERY TIME?? That’s two steps, repeated many times per day, where one would do. It has a layout that is just like my week to a page diary was years ago, and that’s how my brain likes to work.
