### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-09-25*

9/25/23 this applies basically useless. There is absolutely nothing intuitive about it. Once you enter a menu item, you can’t edit it. “Sort” does nothing at all. Your options are to schedule it, or delete it. Unbelievable. My guess is this was written as a 4th grade technology project.”Menus” refers to the scheduled meals by date, while “Dinners” refers to the list of menu options? Does that make sense? Nope. Don’t waste a click on this one. How anyone can give it a rating above 1 star is beyond me.

**Developer response:** I am sorry the app does not provide any value for you. This is intended to be a very simple weekly dinner planner that replaced my wife’s old chalkboard.

The sort feature is available via the search button in the upper left corner, and it sounds like that is not a very good design. I will try to make that more clear in the next release. The blue Sort label just indicates the current sort order set in the search feature, by Name, Category, Last Used Date.

The ability to edit dinners and share menus are common requests, and I will work on it for the next release.

### 1/5 — Deleting

*2023-09-19*

I’m not sure what happened recently. Might even be the last Apple update, but I can’t add anything to the weekly meal plan. The whole app shuts down. So I guess I’m off to see what else is out there. Thx for helping me keep track of my progress for years.

**Developer response:** Hi Tabbi - I'm sorry the app is not working correctly. It might be the latest iOS update. I will release an upated version later this week that is compatible with iOS 17, plus a couple new features! Please try it again next week after the new version is released to the App Store. Thanks, Tony

### 3/5 — close but no cigar ...yet

*2021-05-17*

not ready for prime time but could be with some enhancements.

i like many people...want this type of simple app to keep both what meals they want this week and be able to retrieve them from past meals. this app does that BUT

you can not use links to recipes on various web sites or a link to a recipe on your icloud site. the app has a notes field that allows a url to be entered but doesn’t understand to launch it when in use...sigh.

the other annoying aspect of this meal planner is that is does NOT have a monthly view once populated . all dates a via a wheel picker too ..having a month view here would may thin MUCH better

cant edit a dinner once saved ie you have to delete and enter and copy paste functionally doesn’t work on existing dinners.

A lot of meal planners have kitchen sink thrown in so hard to fine a simple one. this is close but without be able to launch a link ... not very practical for most.

### 3/5 — Perfect... except you can’t edit anything!!

*2020-12-18*

It’s perfect! Simple and easy to use. Saves but it won’t let you edit anything once it’s in. Why ooooh why? Don’t think about changing your mind.

### 3/5 — Edit dinners

*2020-11-01*

Simple and easy to use but I can’t edit my dinners!!!

### 4/5 — Worse than before

*2023-10-03*

1. Why the black on blue for days of the week in the menu display? It was way clearer before - now it’s almost unreadable. PLEASE, PLEASE change this back. 2. Has the edit button disappeared from the menu display? I can’t see any way now of re-ordering dinners in the menu display. 3. Share function still doesn’t work: it only captures two of the weeks dinners at best, so wee still have to take a screenshot and then email or airdrop
that.

UPDATE: very helpful response from developer. Text colour changed to make day of week legible again and edit button re-instated to enable editing of the order of a weeks dinners. The share function appears to be working too. Can’t fault the responsiveness of the developer in sorting this out. If it were possible to truly share access to the dinners list and the generated menus it would be a 5* app for me. So many apps are over complicated. This one addresses a basic but really useful task in a very usable way.

**Developer response:** Roger - Sorry about the font issue. The old way I was showing the days is not available in the latest iOS. This appears to be problem when the iPhone is in Light mode, because the colors are fine in Dark mode. I’ve updated the font to be White on a Blue background to easier to read in Light mode.

Please try it again in a day or two after you get the 2.1.2 release.

Please contact me if you have questions or problems.

Thanks, Tony

### 5/5 — Simple

*2022-11-04*

Overall, I like it. But, it would be nice if my week showed the days that I didn’t have a meal scheduled.

### 5/5 — It’s so easy

*2021-09-21*

You just schedule it and do it.
No stupid payment plan or ads or fighting it.
